    ~Chapter One~
    ″The Land of Pokémon″

Matthew Fisher woke up cold. The rain was belting down on the windows and roof, causing a massive noise, which sounded quite like a Wailmer cry. He was cold, so he jumped from his bunk bed down to the wooden floofboards wiith a thud. He ran over to his small set of Cherriwood Pine drawers, and dived in, pulling out a scarf, black, fingerless leather gloves, black tight fitting jeans, a grey and black striped longsleeved shirt, a fading grey beanie and a pair of ug-boots from the bottom drawer. He quickly slipped into the clothes. He rushed through the door, grabbing his coat on the way out. He walked down the passage, eyes half closed, knowing every inch of his surroundings as if it were part of him. Down the passage, left through to the kitchen. He stopped forr a moment, rubbing his eyes. He yawned tiredly, reaching out for the fridge. He opened the door, and was met with an overwelming cold gust of air. Matthew quickly glanced in the fridge. Half a carton MooMoo Milk, some cheese. Not much worth eating. He turned around and opened the cupboard door, quickly scanning the cupboard for wome Lava Cookies. None! He closed the door and scanned the kitchen for some Cookies. There they were, in a jar sitting on the bench.

He reached over to the jar and unscrewed the lid, taking a Lava Cookie. He ate it, tasting the spicy and hot flavours of a volcano. He chowed down another one, looking at a picture on the wall beside the fireplace. It was a photo of his father, who was a Pokémon trainer. Matt had always wanted to have a Pokémon of his own. Suddenly a loud *THUD* broke his trance. Surely that wasn't thunder! It was too short! Mabye a tree came down! he thought. He ran out of the hut, and looked around. There was nothing much going on...Then he saw it; it was near the lake, a huge snake-like Pokémon was splashing about, two trainers trying to calm it down. The rain was still falling so Matt couldn't see what the Pokémon was. Without thinking, he ran over to the Pokémon, trying to get a better view. When he go close he saw what it was. It was a Dratini, about the same height as himself, and the two trainers trying to calm it were using smaller Pokémon, one a Sentret and one a Bidoof. Matt desperately wanted to help. Then he had an idea. He sprinted back to his hut, and barged in, nearly toppling his Mother. He ran to his room, went to the bed and pulled out an old cardboard box. He tore it open, and inside was a Pokéball, or a Luxury Ball to be exact. Nobody he knew knew about him having this, and he didn't care anymore. Matt sprinted back to the lake. Sentret was having trouble standing and Bidoof looked exausted. Mindlessly, Matt threw the ball at the Dratini, yelling,"Go Pokéball!". He had always wanted to do that. The Dratini looked stunned and glowed red, shrinking into the Luxury Ball. The ball hit the ground and bounced, suddenly rocking from left to right. Then it stopped rocking and a bright gold flash emanated from the ball. "Whaa..how..I caught a Pokémon!" Matt couldnt believe it. He had just caught a Pokémon. "Well, that was quite a show young trainer." said a voice. Matt turned around and saw Proffessor Rowan, a visitor from the Sinnoh region standing there, watching him.

"But...I'm not a trainer, sir." said Matt, nervously.
"Well you are now young man...that is unless you don't want it." replied Rowan.
    "Want what?"
"The Dratini. You just captured it. It's yours!" repied Rowan.
"My very own Pokémon? Wow! It's what I've always wanted!"
The rest of that day Matt spent time with his Dratini.
Matt pushed the button of the Luxury Ball and threw it. Out came Dratini. "So Dratini..I think you need a name..how about........Dragol? Yeah..that sounds good. Very good."
