    The Tampa Bay Lightning have won their first ever Stanley Cup, and the drought is over for Dave Andreychuk.

    I must say it's very disappointing that the Flames couldn't win it. Canada's drought continues. However, the Flames came as close as possible without actually winning the Cup, and they would have tied the game if it weren't for Khabibulin's spectacular save with the blocker. I'm not happy about the Cup going to red hot Florida (I don't think a place like that needs a hockey team), but I'm very happy for the Lightnign team. I'm very happy for Andreychuk. He really deserved it, and it's nice to see him get the Cup after going longer than any player without winning one. Khabibulin also really earned it. In fact, the whole team did. So I'm going to try to have a good attitude and be happy for Tampa Bay. CONGRATULATIONS TO THE LIGHTNING!

    ;_; I wanted Calgary to win so much~~ Lol, I think all of Canada did. They were showing little clips from all over the country every so often and there were just tons of people gathered to watch together. XD *didn't even get to see the game due to homework, though* >_>

    And yet your username is Lightning...no I'm just kidding. ;) Like I said I would've rather Calgary had won also, but I am happy for Tampa. Calgary just didn't play as well. Everyone said they ran out of gas in Game 7 and I think they're right. They just weren't playing as disciplined with all of those penalties they took and they just didn't look as fast and hungry. Tampa was doing almost everything right and really looked like they wanted it.

    =P Well, if it were two American teams, I'd root for the Lightnings... but in this case, my national pride was at stake. ;p

    And yeah, Calgary's flame did seem pretty burnt out by the end. (Pun intended?) @_@ Aah... maybe next year? (Although I'd prefer the Leafs win ;p)
     
    I didn't watch one game all season, not even the final one. I don't care much for sports. My philosiphy is "Why watch the entire game if you can see the score in less than 10 min the next day on the news?". I'm pathetic excuse for a guy. I would've liked it if Calgary one, because I'm Canadian and we're huge fanatics and the government probably would've proclaimed a national holiday or something.
     
    Lmao, it's so true. X3; I generally only watch the playoffs... and then, only about half the games Toronto plays. o_O; Otherwise, I tend not to care. But I have been following Calgary... especially since my dad has been watching the games almost religiously. @_@
     
    I also like the Buffalo Sabres. I went to the game: Sabres Vs. the Blue Jackets, and I was on the big screen in the middle of the rink
     
    I think it's funny that the cold cold country of Canada, who's basic life is nothing but Hockey, where the boys learn to skate before they learn to walk, got beat by the tropical FLORIDA!!!

    They can sit with the stanley cup and tan at the same time...

    Bah, I don't even know how to skate. Conan in Toronto was pathetic. On day one he said he wouldn't do any stereotypical things and get rid of it all at once with that skating, beer drinking, mounty who lives in a beer can igloo. But throughout that week he us stereotyping us.

    It's called a cruel irony...he says he'll do something and he does the opposite...I thought conan in toronto was hilarious...

    Haha, I liked the Conan in Toronto one with the Seattle Tower (whatever it's called) and the CN Tower racing. X3; With the Mountie tripping the other tower. Aah.. that was hilarious. (The French one was just sick, though. His apology was sort of amusing, though ._.)

    Blah. The Leafs blew it early on this year. We were all sorta expecting it, but it was still disappointing. =\ You could tell who the real fans in the city were, though - the real ones kept their car-flags up even after the Leafs were out of the playoffs. =P

    Nah, next year belongs to the Avs. :D But if they don't win, I want Buffalo or Toronto to get it. I'd also love for Curtis Joseph to win a Cup, but ack, I just can't stand the Red Wings. >_<
     
    OOOOO yea!!! Jeikobu, u got that right. Colorado Avs all the way. but I dont think it will be 2005. more like 2006 with this crappy lockdown likely to take away the season.
