Team Emerald
INTRODUCTION:
There are few people who hack Pokemon Emerald, and many believe that Emerald is "unstable" to hack. In my opinion, Emerald is just as easy to hack as any other rom, but hacking Emerald has a lot of sound-related glitches. EVERY Emerald hack on PokeCommunity suffers from sound corruption, so I thought it would be neat if we could get together and try and prevent these glitches, so that Emerald can be considered a great rom to hack. With this in mind, if we ever figure out how to conquer Emerald's sound problems, then we can all safely enjoy our Emerald hacks with the full sound experience.
What is this "sound corruption" I speak of? Well, you'll notice that every Emerald hack on PokeCommunity has at least one song in-game where one of the instruments are replaced with annoying 8-bit-sounding beeeeeeeeeps. The worst case I have seen of this is Pokemon CrystalShards, an Emerald hack here from a couple of years ago.
So far there is no solution, I tried creating a custom voicegroup identical to one from a clean Emerald rom, but that doesn't work. What we need to do is figure out how to prevent the problems that come with Emerald Rom-hacking.
APPLICATION FORM:
All you need to do is post proof of your Emerald hack.
CURRENT TEAM MEMBERS:
Chaos Rush
giradialkia
CURRENT PROJECTS:
*Pokémon Saga - Adventure (previously known as Pokémon ShadowAmethyst) by Chaos Rush
*Pokémon Infinity by Giradialkia
Being in this team does not mean that we collaborate on projects, all it means is that we try to find out what causes Emerald sound corruption, and to try and fix it. For instance, my hack is made completely by me, and that's how it will always stay. But it still falls under the "Current Projects" category, since I'm one of the people with an Emerald hack trying to figure out how to prevent the sound issues.
EDIT: Also if you don't have an Emerald hack, you can still become a member if you have general knowledge of Emerald's problems anyway.
EDIT: Can a mod delete this? There's no point in this thread anymore, since the solution has been found.
