Hey guys a few days ago I was just sitting on my Y and I was looking through my box and I just brainstormed a team. I was hoping you all could maybe rate it, give me some pointers, etc.

    Garchomp, Azumarill, Ferrothorn, Sableye, Gliscor

Since this is my first post actually about Pokemon, I would just like to say that I'm a rather novice battler.

well first off this team could easily be beaten. You have 3-4 physical attackers. You are also missing a sixth pokemon. Each team should incluse a physical wall, special wall, special sweeper, physical sweeper, a lead, and then the sixth is up to you. the team for me is a 1/10. It needs to be more balanced. You also have 2 pokemon that has a 4x weakness to ice.

For a proper team rate we would need to see your move sets and EV spreads. Also include a short description of why you are using each Pokémon and from there we can help you out with other potential move sets/EV spreads or other Pokémon that would make your team better.

It is hard to rate a team when there is not details about the team, or any explanation why you choose them. Is this going to be a competitive team, or a Normal in game team? It needs more details. It missing move sets, EVs, Abilities.

Just for the Pokemon you just named, I suggest you should put it like this:

Sableye - Let me show you some tricks~
    Ability: Prankster
    Nature: Calm, Ev: 252 HP / 120 Def / 136 SpD
    Item: Lagging Tail/Iron Ball/leftovers.
Movesets: Will-o-Wisp, Taunt, Recover, foul play/nightshade/Trick

Sableye is one of my favourite lead pokemon because he is an anti-hazard Pokemon. Thanks to Prankster you can put Taunt first and stop your opponent from using any hazard moves. Will-o-wisp to burn or to do damage (also reduce 50% of physical damage). Lastly, I let you chose a varies of moveset such as foul play, nightshade or Trick. I will recommend trick + lagging tail/iron ball. It helps to slow down your opponent Pokemon, or take out their item. This set can counter pokemons such as ferrothorn, skarmory, klefki, or most of the physical attackers.

    Ferrothorn - Hazardmon
    Ability - Iron Barbs
    Nature: relaxed, EV: 252 HP / 48 Def / 208 SpD
    Moveset:
    ~ Spikes / Stealth Rock
~ Leech Seed / Stealth Rock
    ~ Power Whip / Protect
~ Gyro Ball / Thunder Wave

Ferrothorn is usually consider a hazard pokemon,so you set up Stealth rock, spikes or leech seeds. It will help to counter pokemons such as talonflame, charizard or gyarados (no mega evolution)

Azumarill - A Fairy blue balloon
    move 1: Aqua Jet
    move 2: Play Rough
move 3: Waterfall | Aqua Tail
move 4: Superpower/Belly drum (if you can take the risk)
    ability: Huge Power
item: Choice Band | Splash Plate
    nature: Adamant Nature
    evs: 168 HP | 252 Atk | 4 Def | 84 Spe

Ha! he is extremely scary, he is really good against dragon type Pokemon. not going to say much I just really like this Pokemon =P

    Garchomp @Garchompite
    192 HP/152 Atk/164 Speed
    Hasty/Naive nature
    Nature: Rough Skin
    - Substitute
    - Dragon Claw/Outrage
    - Earthquake
    - Fire Blast/Stone Edge/Poison Jab
405 HP is the magic 101 subs number; considering that you will usually be forcing a switch when you send Chomp in, setting up a large, bulky sub on that switch can prove very advantageous, allowing you to get a free hit in before being forced to retreat. The speed EVS outspeed neutral base 80s (Dragonite).

    Gliscor: Physical Wall
    move 1: Protect / Roost
    move 2: Substitute / Taun<br />
    move 3: Toxic
    move 4: Earthquake
    ability: Poison Heal
    item: Toxic Orb
    evs: 244 HP / 252 Def / 12 Spe
    nature: Impish Nature (+Def, -SpA)

This set makes incredible use of Gliscor's ability, Poison Heal. Coupled with its average bulk and access to Toxic, Substitute, and Protect, Gliscor becomes a stalling behemoth. The basis of the set is to inflict Toxic on your opponent, then stall them out through use of Substitute and Protect. After two turns of Poison Heal, Gliscor recovers the twenty-five percent lost from making the Substitute, leaving it virtually unscathed. Earthquake gives Gliscor a powerful STAB and a way to damage Poison- and Steel-types super effectively. Roost is a viable option when used with Taunt, focusing more on Gliscor's role as a physical wall, while Taunt prevents Pokemon from using Gliscor as entry hazard setup bait or using a cleric move to negate the status spreading

Since you are using Garchomp and Gliscor, you may benefit using Tyranitar as your Sixth Pokemon.

    Tank and Hit hard:

    Tyranitar @ Assault Vest
    Ability: Sand Stream
    EV's: 252 HP / 252 SpD / 4 Atk
    - Crunch / Payback
    - Pursuit
    - Stone Edge / Ice Beam / Fire Blast
    - Superpower / Low Kick
