I just started a new game on my silver about a 6 days ago. im up to the forth gym, and im trying to think of a team. the only ones ive got in mind are
Feraligatr(currently crocanaw)
Ampharos(currently Flaffy)

when you get eevee - espeon
or alakazam

when you beat jasmine go get a chicou? then it evolves in laturn ( water/electric)
very good pokemon
if you don't want that, get a magicarp

or just copy my team with a few changes =)

I say get a espeon, fearow/murkrow, and electrode. Otherwise look on serebii.net for to find what pokemon are around you and choose them on your team...
