Terminology for Battling

    Ok now I've completed the game I'm going to be focusing all my Poke time on competitive battling once I've learn't more about strategies and stuff. I see many of you using teminology for your Pokemon in battles such as 'Sweeper' or 'Wall' etc.

    Could you help me out and list all the different terminology that you use and what they all mean? Preferably all the different possible ones. For example - I guess that a 'Wall' is a Pokemon with a high defense? I could be wrong but, you get what I'm asking.

    Special Sweeper or 'Sp sweeper'-Fast poke with high Sp atk and usually has a wide coverage of types.

    Physcial Sweeper-You get it >_>

    T-Tar-Tyranitar

    Hax-Unfair or lucky advantage, like ice beam freezing a poke

    uber-Poke with over 600 in total base stats.

    Legend-Any poke that cannot breed including manaphy

    Hax items-Items that give the user an unfair,lucky advantage ex: quick claw

    Sponge-Poke to block a certain type of attack(physical or special)

    Wall-Poke to block both types of attack.

    Tank-Pokemon that takes dmg and can dish it out as well(Swampert, Rhyperior)

    BPer-Baton passer

    Hazer-Pokemon that uses Haze to cancel out status upping moves.

    Phazer-Poke that uses roar, whirlwind

    Cleric-Poke to heal status conditions on team. Moves that the poke should know include:Aromatherapy,Heal bell

    IVs-Individudal values

    EVs-Effort values

    Zam-Alakazam

    DD-Dragon Dance

    EQ-Earthquake

    Sleep clause- Only 1 poke can be asleep, if its KOd another poke can be put to sleep. Rest is NOT included.

    Evasion clause-Moves messing with accuracy or evasion are banned.

    Hax items clause-Rule banning hax items

    Item clause-Duplicate item are not allowed(I hate this rule)

    AA-Aerial Ace

    Lefties-Leftovers

    CB-Choice Band

    CS-Choice Scarf

    HP-Hidden power

    Phazer and Psuedo Hazer are the same thing, in fact Phazer is the shorthand of Psuedo Hazer

    Tank: A Pokemon that can absorb damage, and dish it out as well, that is high in both Attack and Defence (Rhyperior for instance)

    ^no thats a sponge.

    Physical Sponge - A pokemon that has a good defense but bad Special defense.

    Special sponge - Go Figure.

    Wall - most likely a pokemon that absorbs attacks in special AND physical (e.g. Probopass)
    *some sponges may be called walls so use common sense.

    Lefties - Leftovers
    CB - Choice Band
    AA - Aerial Ace
    DD - Dragon Dance
    BP - Baton Pass
    HP - Hidden Power
    EQ - Earthquake
