Are you ready for the most grueling, intensely difficult experience of your life??? After years of watching Japan dominate the Pokemon scene, America is ready to jump in and become the superpower of pokemon leagues.

8 badges? Please. The American system has 50 badges, one for every state!!! in order to challenge the all-star elite team, you need to collect half of these badges.

These are the gym types. There are some repeats, but each gym is entirely unique.

As far as levels and evolutions go, it's not really important. It's more like in the manga, where levels aren't really brought up.

One last challenge that makes the American pokemon league a little extra wild and crazy. You get a maximum of three pokemon instead of six. :o

Once you get 25 badges, you can challenge the elite team... but you'll find that something suspicious is going on in that scene. And of course, there's speculation that the government is behind the whole deal. Certainly, shady government officials have been spotted all over in the gym holding cities.

Anyways. Should be a good time. :)

Appearance: Jeremy has short brown hair and wears a pair of green tinted glasses. He wears, almost all the time (often times joked at that it's ALL he has in his wardrobe), is a black hoodie and a pair of jeans, despite the weather that may be. He's medium size though, around 5'8.
Personality: Jeremy is a very...eccentric trainer. He's a very excitable person when it comes to the whole traveling gimmick, and likes to act it up with his fellow Pokemon. Often getting a little...TOO into it, really, with posing and...speeches and what not. He takes it far too little seriously, but hey, he's having fun none the less.
History: Jeremy never really had that bad of a childhood, despite the fact he grew up the oldest of a family of 3 girls and one mother, the father having run off after the last one was born. He took it upon himself to help around the house, never having an issue. His sisters were very supportive, if not...horribly annoying at times. When he finally decided to go upon the Pokemon world and try his way to glory, well...they didn't take it well, but wished him well all the while. So with his sister and mothers voices cheering him on, he went off on his new adventure.

Appearance: Around 5'6, Wears glasses, normally shorts and a T-shirt, and a Black Nike Hat. He has blue eyes and brown hair, weighs roughly 120 lbs, and a belt from the Sinnoh League.

Personality: Relaxed but not lazy. He doesn't take much seriously.
History: Chris grew up in Galveston, Texas with his parents. As his last name suggests he is a decendant of the french pirate Jean Lafitte. He specializes in water types even though he claims to be able to train any pokemon. When he was eleven his sister, Laura, who lived in the Sinnoh region of Japan sent him a Piplup for his birthday. On his twelveth birthday his other sister, Liz, who is close friends of the gym leader of Utah sent him an Eevee. He trained both of them with care until his Piplup evolved into a Prinplup and his Eevee, upon coming across a strange stone in his back yard, evolved into a Jolteon. He recently found out about the AL through Trainer Magazine and decided to head out on an adventure to collect the fifty badges of the USA.

Name: Kris Kollyns
Gender: Male
Age: 13

Appearance:
Kris is caucasian | and has medium length dirty blond hair. The bangs sweep off to the right side and sometimes completely cover the right eye. He has hazel eyes and | he stands at about 5'4" and | weighs about 115 pounds.
Kris doesn't look very physically fit, and in some aspects he's not. His main problem is breathing. He can't hold his breathe for much more than a minute and usually tires pretty quickly, this was brought on by years of second-hand smoke. But in just about every other aspect, he is pretty fit, though he looks scrawny and weak. But for your own safety, Don't. Make. Him. Angry.
On occasion, especially in cold months, Kris wears a black beanie hat. He's always wearing one of his many hoodies, mainly his black and white checkered one that is very warm and has a faux fur lining on the inside. He usually has a dark blue, red or black t-shirt on under his hoodies. He has a small black pack that he uses to carry his stuff in. | He usually has dark blue or black jeans on and black skater shoes with white skulls on them and a white trim.

Personality:
Kris is pretty anti-social to people unless he knows them. Even then he may be a little bit of an outcast. He enjoys solitude though, people just bug him most of the time. So he usually relies on pokemon as friends and is very good with them. He is actually pretty smart and shy, but can be very friendly.

History:
When Kris was just a baby, he was paired with the egg of a Cyndaquil. It was almost a tradition in his family, as his great grandfather had owned a Typhlosion and that Typhlosion's family had stayed in his family since. He grew up with the Cyndaquil, whom became his greatest friend. He was never very interested in human beings, as he disliked their faults and was just never good at making friends. Even though pokemon had faults too, he didn't mind faults in them. It just made them...cuter. Or at least that was the usual explanation. Sometimes it made them look cooler, mor beautiful or just unique. Besides, they were easier to deal with than humans.

Around the time Kris turned six, his Cyndaquil evolved into a Quilava. when Kris was ten he went to Japan to challenge the many pokemon leagues there with his Quilava. Sometimes he participated in contests too. The first region of Japan he visited was Kanto, where he got an underwhelming fourtieth place in the pokemon league and only obtained four ribbons. When he was about eleven he had traveled to Johto, where he only did slightly better and got thirty-second place in the pokemon league and fiftieth place in the Grand Festival.

When Kris had just turned twelve, he headed to Unova. There he got twentieth place in the pokemon league and thirty-first place in the Grand Festival. He continued to hone his skills in Unova, then he heard about the new pokemon league in his home country-America. The rules were much different, but he didn't mind. A chance to stay in his hom country and do what he loved was undeniable. So now he is home, taking a rest before he challenges the first gym...

Strategy and battle style:
Disable the opponent, then go in for the kill.
Basically he will either use a move to disable the opponent and then begin attacking his opponent or just go all out. If his opponent happens to be a pathetic excuse for a human being, he'll probably mess around with his opponent first, tear him apart starting at the mind.

Appearance: A slighly large tan skinned blonde man with brown eyes. He wears a white shirt with the logo of the American Pokemon League along with a red vest, blue jeans and a crown from Burger Champion.
Personality: Often seen as a lazy couch potato by people like his mother. Due to years of playing video games, he actually became an excellent strategist. Considers Burger Champion, his favourite fast food chain to he his best friend.
History: Angus was born and raised in Miami, Florida. During his childhood, he never played with the other kids in the shores but just played video games about Pokemon. Years later, he was finally kicked out of his house by his mother after she watched a video of a Pokemon League battle from a Japanese Regional League, realising that her lazy son should participate rather than being a couch potato for his entire life.

Ok, Jeremy, Chris, Kris and Angus, all accepted.

To answer questions: The three pokemon rule is similar to the six pokemon rule in the games. So you can have three pokemon with you, and like, a bunch in the PC, if you want. All the town containing gyms are equipped with Poke centers and marts and all that.

(You'll notice on the map it points out which cities are gym cities)

As to the other question, I say six moves to a pokemon. Just be sure it can actually learn it in at least on of the actual games.

And if you're not an american I'm sorry I mean, you don't have to be. You can travel to america to take on the league if you wish to put that as part of your history or whatevs.

Once one more person joins and is accepted, we'll take a vote on where in the US sounds like a good place to start :D After that, two more people will be allowed to join.

Appearance:Black hair with bright blue streaks in it[dyed most obviously], eyes that are brown on the inner iris but go outwards toward green [Same as mine so don't say its impossible]. Normally wears a hoodie with the hood down and jeans w/running shoes, if its warm there is a loose fitting t-shirt under the hoodie.

Personality: Cecily is an isolationist, she prefers being alone then with others. She is also extremely intolerant of stupidity and will quickly anger when presented with an idiot. She also lost faith in humanity, blaming the government and people in general for the execution of her father and in turn, the suicide of her mother.

History: When Cecily was four Cecily's father got her an Eevee as her first pokemon. When Cecily was eight the Eevee which she had named Odessa evolved into an umbreon one night when they were out playing in the woods. Cecily's father was later accused and convicted of homicide when she was twelve, and because of testimonial by her mother was sentenced to the death penalty. Not even a full year after her father was killed evidence proved her father was innocent and had been framed, her mother mad with guilt committed suicide soon after hearing the news leaving her older brother to care for her until she was eighteen and decided to explore the world. During this time she she caught a Trapinch and raised it into a Vibrava and named it Kata but it is nowhere near as strong as Odessa is. Two years later her brother died in a car crash involving a bus, two semis, six cars, and a van, and since then she has refused to ride on or in any land vehicle other then a motorcycle, since it was the only kind of vehicle that was not involved in any way with the crash.

Personality: Joshua is an honest man, who believes in integrity. He does his best never to cross anyone in his efforts to achieve total victory. However, he is very driven, and fights until he can't anymore to win.

History: He grew up in Ireland, where he caught and raised his first pokemon. When he was 5, his parent's got a divorce, and his father moved to Boston to become a very successful pokemon trainer and business man. The rest of his life consisted of trips back and forth from Ireland to Boston, to visit both his parents. When he found out about the American pokemon league, he redoubled his training with his pokemon and resolved to complete the league challenge. It wasn't until later that he found out his father was the Gym leader of Boston.
