Well, most people have finished Route A so here's the next chapter!

Tin City
2-4 Posts

Hidden between the grassy plains of Route A and the desert of Route B, Tin City is a surprisingly busy city despite its small size. Though it lacks a League Gym, there is a large area on the outskirts which is split into small battlefields for anyone who wants to make use of them. The towering skyscrapers mostly house office blocks and hotels, but there are several shops to visit as well. Most noticeably, however, Tin City is famous for being the headquarters of the Anti-Gray Resistance, commonly referred to as the AGR.

Notes
  • You can't battle or catch Pokemon in cities, unless in specially marked out areas such as Gyms.
  • Cities are mostly for relaxing between routes and healing your Pokemon.
Places of Interest

Like most cities, Tin City houses a Pokecentre. Visit here to eat, heal your Pokemon and stay overnight - all for free!

Similarly, make sure to visit the Pokemart to buy Potions, Pokeballs, Antidotes, etc.

The Battlefields bordering Route B are a great place to bump up your Pokemon's levels; go there with a friend or just pop in and see who else is looking for a battle.

You may also want to visit the Shopping District, where you can buy clothes, food...heck, pretty much anything short of a nuclear bomb can be found here, if you know where to look and the price is right.

The Warehouses on the Route A edge of town are home to the local division of the AGR. They're always looking for new recruits, but they hold a strong belief that if you aren't with them, you're against them. Still, they won't accept just anyone - you'll have to pass the initiation if you plan on joining. (If you do decide to join, PM me for specific details. Don't be afraid to deliberate - you'll be able to join later on...it just might not be so easy)

Ok, I think that's everything sorted here! Let's get posting!

Century finally got over the fact that he had made it to Tin City, as he begins to come out of the grass that contained Route A. He saw some Warehouses to his left, and tall skyscrapers in front of him.

"This isn't as big as I thought it would be." He muttered to himself, but he spotted a pokecentre in the city, so he thought it would be valuable to visit there and heal up his pokemon, as they had been injured and fatigued from that battle with the trainer in the forest.

Century walks at an even pace, his leather jacket containing most of his items absorbing heat from the hot sun that beams down upon him as he walks into Tin City. Century begins to walk past the large warehouses into the busy streets of Tin City, looking straight at the pokemon centre, something his eyes zero in on, determined to get his pokemon back to good health as soon as he can. He looks down at his jacket, "Don't worry guys, you'll be in good health soon." He says confidently, continuing on his way, bumping into few people on the way.

Century notices on the way, that a few men dressed up in black are standing by the entrances to the warehouses, seemingly protecting the entrance. The big, black door has the letters 'AGR' written in big, bold white writing. "I wonder what thats about." Century thinks to himself, but it doesn't stop him, as he continues onward toward the pokemon centre. A few minutes of walking through crowds making noise and getting on with their everyday lives. Signs pointing to the shopping district and the Pokemart appear once in a while in Century's eyesight as he walks onward, before finally finding himself at the door of the pokemon centre. He enters, and immediately sees Nurse Joy sitting at the front desk with a look of glee on her face.

"Hi, can I help you?" She says cheerfully.

Century nods, "I need my pokemon healed." He says with a bit of worry on the tip of his tongue.

"Alright, can I see your pokeballs?" She asks politely, and Century reaches into the inside of his leather jacket and pulls the two pokeballs from the holsters on the inside of his jacket before handing them to Nurse Joy. "Thank you." She says, before turning away and putting them on a conveyor belt, taking them away to another room. "I see that you're a new trainer." She comments. Century nods. "Enjoying your journey so far?" She asks. Century nods again. "Well, seeing as your pokemon could use training, as I hear that the upcoming gyms are hard, there is a battlefield on the outskirts of town where you can battle other trainers and level up your pokemon."

The fact kind of takes Century by surprise. "Thank you, Nurse Joy." He says, nodding. "I'll go there after my pokemon are healed." He says, looking around the room.

"You can go sit down, your pokemon should be out in a fairly short amount of time." She says. Century nods, and spins on his heels and goes and sits on a chair adjacent to a wall of the pokecentre, and looks down waiting for his pokemon to be healed, playing nervously with his boulder badge necklace.

Irene, after at least a day of walking, finally came into a clearing, no, a city! She looked around and saw a sign it read, in simple, black letters: Tin City. Irene smiled to herself, and continued on into the small, but busy City. There was a newspaper stand, and a little boy was standing in front of it, carrying a large load of newpapers.

"Extra! Extra! Read all about it! AGR is finally accepting new recruits! Tests of skill! Extra, extra!" the little newsboy said, handing out free copies of the newpaper. Irene walked up and took a copy for herself. The front page had the story about the AGR, whoever that was. There was a big picture of a few warehouses on the front, which Irene took as their headquarters. Irene began to read the article on this group after she sat down on a small bench next to the Pokemon Centre.

It read:

AGR: Against Gray!

As many of you out there know, the AGR is a group that is against our overlord, Gray. Not many people truly support him, and the AGR is a perfect example of that! They are an organization to rid the world of Gray, BEFORE his rule becomes a dictatorship, and the people have no more power against him. The AGR has finally begun to accept new recruits for the second training session. They are located in the warehouses at the edges of the city, but beware, they do not accept applications lightly. There are tests you must take in order to be accepted. Tests of strength, speed, and intellegence to make sure that you and your Pokemon are ready and able to defend yourself again Gray and his minions.

BURN THIS NEWSPAPER AFTER READING!

Irene ripped up the newspaper after she had read it. This was a practice that everyone did after Gray took over so that he would not find out about revolts and organizations that the people did to try to rid the region of him. A Cyndaquil and a Buizel were nearby, stray city Pokemon that weren't ever caught. Irene threw the strips of paper on the ground.

"Umm, Cyndaquil? Could you burn those pieces of paper for me? And could you, Buizel, put out the flames?" Irene asked the Pokemon nicely, tossing a piece of Pokemon food to each of them as a collateral. The two Pokemon nodded and Cyndaquil blew a single ember at the pile of paper, which burst into flames. After a minute or two, Buizel put out the flames with it's Water Gun. Irene thanks them, and continued to walk down the road. She thought about the AGR.

"Hmm, maybe I should try to join that organization. . .we can't hold Gray's ambitions off much longer, and I want to help in any way I can! Im gonna go see those AGR members about it. . ." she murmured to herself, and started to walk in the direction of the old Warehouses. She knocked on the metal doors, and a peephole slid open.

"What do you want?" a gruff voice barked from inside, Irene could only see a pair of eyes looking out on her.

"Umm, I'd like to speak to someone about joining your organization?" Irene asked quietly. If these precautions had to be made, there must be a threat against the AGR.

"What's your name?" the voice asked, a little less gruff.

"Irene Updancer." Irene stated nicely.

"Oh. One of those new trainer's Gray ordered to start training Pokemon?" the voice asked, even less gruff.

"I guess so." Irene answered.

"Well, just to make sure, can I see your Pokedex, and your Pokemon?" the voice said.

"Sure." Irene said, pulling out her Pokedex and her two Pokeballs. "Come on out, Sonny, Loka." The two Pokemon stood in front of the door, looking up at the peephole and the eyes, which seemed surprised. Irene opened her Pokedex and turned it on. It showed her picture and her personal information such as name and gender.

"Well, you seem legit enough. Come on in." the voice said, unlocking the door and opening it only wide enough for Irene and her Pokemon to fit through. Irene squeezed through the opening. Loka had trouble getting through, because of his antlers, so the man had to open the door wider for him to fit through. Irene saw that the voice was only a teenager. Tall, but skinny. Wasn't too bad looking, either. Irene noticed this right away and blushed a bit.

"Right this way." the guy said, leading her down a hallway, into a dark room. A woman was seated at a desk.

"Yes, Geoffery?" the woman asked, looking up from a pile of papers.

"This girl, Irene, wishes to take the tests and try to join the AGR." the newly named Geoffery answered what seemed to be a leader.

"Oh, really now? First girl this training session to be brave enough to even take the challenge! Hello there, I am Miss. Reeth." The woman said as she stood up, walked around her desk, and held out her hand for Irene to shake. Irene took her hand and gave her a nice, firm shake of the hand.

"Hmm! Good, strong handshake. Nice and firm, and sincere. I believe I like you already!" Miss. Reeth exclaimed, releasing Irene's hand. "But I caution you, the tests that you've no doubt heard of are not a cake-walk. They are difficult, testing your very will to survive on your own, as well as your Pokemon's will to obey you. Do you accept the challenge?"

"Yes." Irene answered, her voice ringing with determination. Her Pokemon trilled in acceptance, too.

"Very good. Now, lets go to the first challenge, Intellegence. It is not just a test of book smarts, but also of intellegence of survival. How well you can use your surroundings to survive and thrive." Miss. Reeth explained, leading Irene and Geoffery down a long hallway.

**This is just the beginning, I want to know if you approve of my ideas before I continue on in the challenges and such. Is it ok that the leader is Miss. Reeth, a woman? Or did you want it to be a guy?

The first thing Shelby did once she had gotten inside the city was go to the Pokémon Center. She handed Nurse Joy her Pokémon and sat on a chair and waited while they recovered. It didn't take very long, and soon Shelby was taking her Pokeballs back and walking out through the doors. She pulled a map out of her pocket and looked at all of the different things in this area. She decided to go to the shopping district so she wouldn't have to stock up on certain supplies later.

She walked into the first large mall she saw. She saw a large map in the center of the floor, so she walked up to it and looked at it. Pokémon supplies seemed to be up a few levels, as well as trainer supplies and food. Shelby yawned slightly and then walked upstairs to the 2nd floor. On this floor, people were walking around with one of their Pokémon and picking out some supplies and such. Shelby brought out Cyndaquil, who yawned and looked about with interest.

"Well, we're going to need to stock up before we keep going," Shelby declared. Cyndaquil ran off then, heading to the isle that said Pokémon Food. Shelby rolled her eyes and trotted after her Pokémon. Cyndaquil stood just in front of the isle, staring at the containers in awe. Shelby laughed and picked him up. She walked down the isle, following the alphabetical order. She stopped first at Cyndaquil's. "Does this look good to you?" she questioned to Cyndaquil who was attempting to reach for the food.

"Cynda!" Cyndaquil insisted.

Shelby picked up the fairly large can and opened it. Cyndaquil peered down and happily replied. Shelby shut it before Cyndaquil could eat any. "Cyndaquil, I don't suppose you could go grab me a basket from the enterance to this floor, could you?" Shelby asked, setting her down. Cyndaquil nodded and scampered off. Shelby looked around for food for Mareep. Finally finding it, Shelby picked it up and held the two containers in her arms. Moments later Cyndaquil returned. She was simply pushing the basket along, considering she couldn't quite pick it up.

"Cynda, Cyndaquil!"

"Thanks, buddy," Shelby said. She set the stuff in the basket. Cyndaquil suddenly hopped in, looking at Shelby innocently. Shelby sighed and rolled her eyes but found a smile on her face anyway. "Do you think we should get two mixes? Just incase we catch some more Pokémon later, I mean," Shelby said. Cyndaquil nodded. Shelby stacked two more cases on top of the first two, and quickly checked the price. Contrary to what she believed, the Pokémon food didn't seem to be too much money.

She then moved around the isles, looking to see if there was anything else in this part of the store she needed. There was a bunch of extra stuff—Pokémon clothes, battle enhancements (Shelby would have bought them, except she didn't want her Pokémon to battle with enhancements), and many other things. Shelby paid for her stuff (finding that it really only totaled up to around thirty or so of her own money) and then headed up to the next floor where the trainer items were.

Cyndaquil was annoyed at having to get out of the basket so, on the next floor, she just hopped right in one. Shelby sighed and picked it up, doubting that she would really buy anything anyway. Pokémon must have been allowed out in this store, because many people were still walking around with them. Shelby came to a stop in front of a large section of clothing. Her interest spiked, she walked through it. There were all kinds of things there. She found one item the most interesting; a black cloak. She picked it up and slipped it over her clothes, finding that it was fairly comfortable. Cyndaquil looked up at her.

"How about it?" Shelby asked.

"Cynda, Cyndaquil!" Cyndaquil nodded. Shelby slipped the cloak off and tossed it in the basket next to Cyndaquil. "Cynda, Cyndaquuuuuuil!" Cyndaquil stated, squirming and pointing.

"Huh?" Shelby murmured. She turned to look where she had been pointing. Then she walked up to a large sign that said "GYM BADGE CASES HERE!". Shelby glanced at Cyndaquil who nodded. Shelby sighed and set the basket down. She looked at all of the cases. There was one with a flame pattern on it. Shelby held it up to Cyndaquil's nose. Cyndaquil nodded. Shelby tossed it in the cart as well. "I think that's all, right?" Shelby questioned to the little Pokémon after walking around a bit more.

"Cynda…" Cyndaquil trailed off sadly but nodded.

Shelby paid for the other stuff, finding that it was a fair bit more expensive. Luckily for her, her brother had given her money as well as the fact that she was using the money she had saved up for a long time. Shelby walked out with her bags and then set down at a curb and pulled the stuff out. Cyndaquil sat down next to her and waited. She stuffed the cloak in her bag along with the food and other item she bought. Once that was done, Shelby looked at Cyndaquil.

"Now what should we do?" Shelby asked.

"Cynda," Cyndaquil stated, pointing to a spot on the map. It was the Battlefields. The Battlefields were fairly close to Route B, so they were further away. Shelby picked up Cyndaquil, slung her pack over her shoulder, and began walking.

Within what seemed like a short amount of time they arrived at the area. People were outside battling Pokémon, something that interested Shelby quite a bit. Cyndaquil looked pumped as well, but Shelby wanted to battle with Mareep first. She explained this to Cyndaquil. Cyndaquil looked slightly disappointed but agreed anyway.

Shelby walked inside and saw that several people were at machines that seemed to heal your Pokémon. She walked up to the counter.

"Hello, would you like to participate?" a boy with shaggy brown hair asked.

"Yes, please," Shelby replied.

He asked her some questions to which she replied. Then he handed her a small, plastic card with her two Pokémon on it as well as her trainer information. He then explained that it was needed to see which people you could battle here, unless you go outside for the free-for-all battles. Shelby thanked him and then headed outside.

There were seemingly several sections to this field. One had a large pond in it, almost like a makeshift water field. Another area had several trees and shrubs, making a perfect forest setting. The last field had more boulders and rocks even though there was still some grass.

A boy approached her. "My name's Alex," he stated. "Wanna battle me and my Chimchar?" he questioned. Shelby looked down and saw a little monkey-like Pokémon at his feet. It was regarding Cyndaquil curiously.

"Yeah, but not with Cyndaquil. How about battling my Mareep?" Shelby questioned.

[FONT=&quot]The boy agreed.
