Well here's a storyline I've been thinking of for a while, so I'd like your opinion. Oh and the story isn't the usual about some guy saving the world, but rather how the curiousity of one person can nearly kill everyone he knows...
=== Storyline ===
Few ever venture out of Venci City, a city of water. Those that leave in the open, are quickly captured and for some reason locked away in prison. However the quest one will make to leave the city, will entangle the city in a threat greater than death itself as it's a race against time to save those who deserve it...
"Those willing to venture out, are those seeking knowledge in this world... They say there's only the town we live in and a wasteland outside, however water and magic must of had a source outside. Bandits and citizens who escaped the town claim to have seen what could of been described as a paradise outside, as nature was mostly unharmed, and there are many exotic environments and creatures. After hearing this, I plan to set out...
Farewell home sweet home, I won't be seeing you for a while..."
All that was heard was the sound of a person closing his door as he bid farewell to the town he once knew. The canals, a pathway to a freedom few experienced were the only things to guide him on his journey.
=== Gameplay ===
The game will be primarily stealth based, as you assassinate enemies from a distance or you avoid the soldiers planning to hunt you down. Puzzles won't be common, however there will be many side-quests with various options on how to complete them, while you can be forced to backtrack your way through various areas in order to complete quests. I also plan to implement an item creation system, where by using certain materials you'll gain items with status bonuses (for example you can mix five sword chips and two vial of poisons to make a sword that can deal poison alongside the normal damage). Some items and skills can inflict new status ailments such as [Fear], which stuns them and they try to escape.
I'm still deciding weither to use an ABS or a RTAB CBS by the way, however I'm leaning torwards ABS without HUD for a somewhat stealth type of game. I will have to edit some of the scripts in the ABS I plan to use however.
