yeah you can and you wanna be co-owner and here's some info on them

I was genuinely interested to hear what these recordings are all about. The collaboration between Johnny Giouli and Jun Senoue has all ingredients for an ***-kicking album, but the origins of the majority of the material (as backdrop for computer games) had me despairing at first.

Thankfully, if you keep in mind the computer games aspect, this is a very enjoyable ride. It's cool to hear Giouli outside of Hardline, and the guitars of Senoue are more than worthwhile.

Additionally, there's two more bonuses hidden towards the end of the album. "It Doesn't Matter" sports the lead vocals of Tony Harnell (TnT / Westworld) and the final tune "Escape From The City" features Ted Poley (Danger Danger / Bone Machine) on vocals. Both do an excellent job, and given their carreers I wouldn't expect any less from both.

But the majority of the material has Giouli and - frankly - Giouli could well have done the job on his own, however much the final two tracks please me. This guy simply has that voice that stretches like plastic. Kinda similar to John Corabi (Scream / Motley Crue) he has that bluesyness, roughness and still maintains ****loads of melody.

Most of the songs are up-tempo rockers with huge hooks, but if you're up for that you'll be fine. My personal favorite ("Revvin' Up") is a really cool song, and a little further on there's this really groovy tune called "Fuel Me" that actually reminds me quite a bit of early Motley Crue!

The fact that these songs were written for computer games makes it understandable that there's no real ballads here, which is a pity for the album. I think one or two ballads or more laid-back tunes would have been good. The all-out pedal-to-the-metal album it is now, has a bit of a relentless aspect. There's no time to catch your breath. If you don't mind, unlike me, then this record could be one of the more fun releases of 2003 for you.

Whatever your thing is, this is definitely worth checking out. I have loads of fun with it, especially in my car. Just watch out you don't start driving like in those computer games. Or at least turn on the wipers. :)

I love open your heart the dx opening theme
