So i've been working my arse off in this, and i don't wanna toot my own horn here, but i think it turned out pretty good. So here it is!
[sorry m8 no map picture available at the moment]
History
The Dynest Region is a region located north of Sinnoh and northwest of Unova. It was accidentally found in 1356 by sailors who lost their way, but was only an official
region in 1725, where a great war between the Armada of Johto, which was the most powerful region back then, against the Armada of Sinnoh raged. The Armada of Sinnoh
eventually won the war, and conquered Dynest as Official Sinnoh Territory. But soon, Dynest was at war. Natives of the region went on a bloody fight against the Sinnoh
Armada, to make Dynest a single independent region. The war began in 1748, but only came to an end in 1816. In 1823, the Document Of Independence was signed by Prince
Burdan, and so, the Dynest Region became independent.
Eventually, the whole royal family was assassinated brutally. Prince Burdan was found stabbed to death in his room in 1831, Princess Kimiss was kidnapped and tortured
to death in 1844, King Lloage came to die at old age in 1850, and the Queen was poisoned and died in 1852. The cargo of Prince was taken by Prince Burdan's son, Prince
Rotter, shortly after his death. Rotter assumed the cargo of Prince in 1835, when he was only 12 years old. The Princess was Princess Kimiss' daughter, Melissa, taking
charge in 1846, when she was 18 years old.
Thus democracy came around, and things had changed. In 1862, the democracy law was applied to all regions. Former Prince, now King Rotter of Dynest, did not accept the
idea of him giving up his throne and entered in a state of madness, soon commanding to kill every democrat in the region. It did not last long, for in 1867, Rotter was
held captive in his room by revolutionary democrats. Rotter was executed in 1868. Without a King, democracy soon started to come. After her brother's death, Melissa
gave up her place in the throne and killed herself in 1871. Then, democracy reigned. The first President of Dynest, also known as President Agedar D'Brakna, took his
cargo from 1874 until 1892, when he died of old age. Currently, President Armin Menar rules the nation, being the 31st President of Dynest's nation.
The Region Itself
Towns & Cities
On the deep south, between treacherous mountain chains, resided Maplelyn, a small town with 19 inhabitants. Many houses, a Pokémon Lab and a small lake to an island
created the little village.
A little bit ahead of Maplelyn, resides the town of Vertmill, with 22 inhabitants. In the spring, this town turns into a beautiful and colorful labyrinth of flowers.
The air is completely pure thanks to the plants that take over the town's scenery.
Freytown City is a city with 53 inhabitants. Home to the first Gym of the region, Freytown City attracts tourists due to its main point, the Paper Tower. Said to be
home of a Legendary Pokémon ages ago, it has been locked with a strange force when the Pokémon left the tower.
Oldpine Town is a small, dusty town that has 17 inhabitants. It gives opening to the formidable Highvale City.
Highvale City is a metropolis. Containing an astonishing 378 inhabitants, presidential buildings and the second Gym of the region, it is very attractive. Farther to
the west of the city is a small path with houses that leads to the Highvale Ruins, where it seems that three caves hide themselves beneath the ruins. Its main point
are the Gyarados Skyscrapers, two gigantic skyscrapers with statues of Gyarados at the top. It is said that on the top of the west skyscraper, many flocks of birds
land to rest. There also seems to be a particular bird that lands there which is quite interesting.
Across Highvale, there is the calm Clockmair Town, with 33 inhabitants and the 3rd Gym. Clockmair has a very ancient feel to it, and sometimes a mysterious tornado of
petals envelopes the town with colored, shiny flower petals. It is said that a Pokémon creates this phenomenon, but it was tracked to be very far away from the town.
Fuchsrada Town is a modern town. Opposite of Clockmair, this town has a very modern and technological feel to it. With 41 inhabitants, it is quite known for having the
Magnemite Stick, a gigantic energy tower in the middle of the town that harnesses the energy of Magnemite to release a beautiful electric storm.
Anduresa City, also known as the Metropolis of Steel, holds the 4th Gym and 103 inhabitants. The city is the most advanced one in the region, with a gigantic train
track revolving the city. The Bullet Train is the best way to navigate through the city.
Crossvard Town is a dusty town located between two distinct roads. With 31 inhabitants, this town's main attraction is the Statue of Lloage, the original king of the
region. It holds the roads that lead to Hakumisa and Duskvalen Cities respectively.
Hakumisa City is a city covered in water. Sections of the city are separated in small islands. This city houses the 5th Gym. Its main attraction is the Bivalve Cave,
where it is said that deep down, there is a legendary Pokémon that has slept there for centuries. The air in the city is quite chilly, due to Duskvalen being close by.
This town has 43 inhabitants.
Duskvalen City is taken by the snow that envelops the city and the mountains around it. This city has no gym, and its main attraction spot are the Ancient Stairs, that
lead to a treacherous mountain path. It has 51 inhabitants.
Sanveda City is a medieval-esque city that has 122 inhabitants, and holds the 6th Gym. Sanveda is a very big and interesting place, with its main attractions being
the Old Well, a well that has been there for over 500 years, and the Rage Tower. Said to be home of a Legendary Pokémon ages ago, it has been locked with a strange
force when the Pokémon left the tower.
Tundrakiss Town is a cold town, located in the far north of the Dynest Region. Having 67 inhabitants, Tundrakiss is known for being a very cold and ancient place. Its
main spots of attraction are the Blizzard Rock, a big chunk of ice in the middle of the town holding a strange meteorite-shaped rock inside it, and the Psyre Temple,
a temple that was reduced to ashes and simplified into a cave. There are reports of strange happenings in the temple.
Meniosa City is a city located in the northern shore, holding 89 inhabitants and the 7th Gym. It has a mixed tropical and tundra-like climate. Many boats and ships
set themselves here. Its main attractions are the gigantic sailing ships that form a big, explorable area, and the opening to Mountain Blairbell.
Claravelt City is located in a clearing of Mountain Blairbell. It has 81 inhabitants, and houses the 8th Gym and the doors to Victory Road.
Latimasa Town is a small town located south of Victory Road. It has 59 inhabitants, and its main attractions are the Battle Houses and Game Corners. Many trainers stop
by to trade Pokémon also.
Other Areas
Between Vertmill and Freytown Cities lies the Neverend Cave. The name might sound intimidating, but it is a path with small rocky curves and Strength rocks. In the
deeper levels, bodies of water give path to a more challenging part of the cave. The cave houses a Legendary Pokémon in its deeper level.
Banjo Forest gives way to Oldpine Town. Banjo Forest is a sunny happy forest, with lots of vines all over trees and a pretty big ammount of wildlife.
Located to the west of the metropolis of Highvale, the Highvale Ruins are one of the most ancient spots of the region, being there for over 3000 years. They give the
opening to a small cave with big gaping holes in it. It is said that if you jump down on one of these, a huge blast of sand will bring you back up. However this sand
can be controlled by a strange item... meanwhile, the cave only gives way to one basement floor, containing a dusty room with an item on it.
Alébra Woods separates Clockmair and Fuchsrada Cities. It has a bigger length and more expansive wildlife than Banjo Forest, and there also seems to be a strange man
living deep inside here...
Anvil Bridge stands between Fuchsrada and Anduresa Cities, being built in 1859. It received this name because many blacksmiths used to work by, all of them using big
anvils. The bridge, much like both Cities, is also made of metal. Construction workers also gather around here to work and battle.
Buena Cavern stands between Anduresa and Crossvard. It's a big and very populated cave. Hiding spot for thugs and evil organizations.
Thorn Cliffs stand above Duskvalen. Composed by a chain of caves, full of high-leveled Pokémon and experient trainers, it is a great way to train Pokémon. Deep inside
the caves, there's a small room... a legendary is said to live there.
The Rotting House is a big, old and dusty wooden house built over 150 years ago. It has been abandoned after the family was consumed by a blizzard. Some say the house
is haunted. It is located between Sanveda and Tundrakiss.
Mountain Blairbell is a big, volcano-like maze cavern full of strong Pokémon and very experienced Pokémon Trainers. It has seven known floors. A Legendary Pokémon has
been sleeping here for ages.
