[Media] The Evil Wrap Move

What is up with the brutal, evil Wrap move, usually used by snakes and plant Pokemon? Apparently, you can't even escape with an Escape Rope (which is illegal), so really, what's up with that?

Escape Rope is for leaving Caves and Forests though..... not Pokemon Battles 🤔
You'd want a Poke Doll for that.

As for Wrap, it's a move that traps your Pokemon so you can't flee. There are actually plenty more moves and several abilities that also have this affect. Examples of moves would be Sand Tomb and Whirlpool. Examples of abilities are Arena Trap and Shadow Tag.
I dunno if it applies to all of them, but I've fled using Poke Dolls against Shadow Tag at the very least.

So I guess if a Pokemon is trapped and therefore can't flee, there's a high chance it'll faint and no longer be able to battle.

But what if a Pokemon's body was spiked and another one tried to wrap it?
