    The Fatal Flaw
    History:

The year is 2013 in the pokemon world. Three years ago every region decided on creating one big pokemon league. They decided on keeping just eight gym's but would only choose certain ones from each region to make up the eight. They set the date of the league to begin on April third of 2013. During the three years of planning they decided on only choosing six trainers to take place. They did this so that they could test out the league and decided on what to change or make better before opening it to the world wide public, also broadcasting the battles and hardships they faced along the way to see how the audience of such a league would respond. They decided that the starting point of the league would set place in Saffron City now home to the world wide magnet train that connects to all main cities of the world. They also decided on creating a combined Elite four of the strongest member of each based on a world wide vote.

    Plot:

The invitations were sent out two months in advanced and you have been selected as one of the six new trainers to test this brand new league system. You begin to ready yourself for the day you will set out on your journey; you say your farewells to your loved ones as you have no idea when you will be seeing them again.

The invitation also tells you to begin getting your affairs in order, which seems a bit odd to you because you're just going on a pokemon journey. Although you know that sometimes there will be tough challenges you don't think any of them will be life threatening since you know you'll be monitored by league officials.

Finally the day comes to leave and you head to the meeting destination mentioned within the invitation. This is the place where all of the participants will board a plane and head towards Saffron City. The meeting destination is Verdanturf Town in the Hoenn Region.

Although this RP will seem like a regular journey RP with a twist on it there will be much more involved to it then just journeying from region to region collecting the eight gym badges and just simply battling the Elite Four. During the RP your character is going to be faced with many choices and difficult situations. Throughout the RP the character is going to have to come to grips with there Fatal Flaw in order to be able to move on.

    Chapter 1
    So it Begins
    Post 1
    The day had arrived after what seemed like an endless waiting period. You made sure everything was in order before leaving;

    • Your goodbyes
    • Your affairs (Which may still seem a bit odd to you)
    • And anything else your character may want to do before departing

Finally you begin your journey to Verdanturf town where you will board the plane for Saffron City. Please give a description of your journey from your home town to Verdanturf. When you finally arrive you head towards the pokemon center and wait for your guide to arrive. Inside the pokemon center you notice the other five trainers you will be up against.

After about half an hour of waiting the door to the pokemon center opens and a woman about 5'8 with long black hair wearing a black dress approaches all of you.

"Welcome I will be your escort to Saffron City, if were all ready would you please follow me" She says in a somewhat eerie voice. As you follow her out a back exit of the pokecenter you come out to a huge field of grass where a giant sized passenger plane sits.

The side of the plane reads: "A New Life Airlines"

The woman escort leads you on to the plane, the inside is absolutely amazing. Instead of rows and rows of seats there is only six seats one for each passenger. The seats are padded and have massage arms built in. There are laptops and TV's at each person's seat.

"This is your captain speaking; we will now be taking off towards Saffron City… Arrival time is in two hours please enjoy the ride if you get hungry please feel free to order and kind of food you'd like we want you to be as comfortable as possible" The captain says as he starts the plane and you take off for a new beginning.

You can describe what you do during the beginning of the flight until about twenty minutes in the sky begins to light up until a big flash takes over everything and all you see is white.

End of Post 1 (As soon as I grade post 1 you can begin on post 2)

For anyone who lives in Kanto already: (If your character already lives in Kanto then your invitation would have stated simply to travel from home to Saffron City. So for your first post the beginning will be the same with your goodbyes, your affairs etc. From this point on you will begin your journey towards Saffron. After about half an hour of traveling you are approached by a man or women whichever you prefer.
"Excuse me but you wouldn't happen to be on your way to Saffron City for the beginning of the New League would you?" She asks as you are a little hesitant to tell them you were.

"Well I am going to be your escort there" He/She says before taking a step behind you for a moment and suddenly you feel a slight jolt in your neck causing you to fall unconscious. )

    Post 2
As the light fades you look around and find yourself standing in some sort of lab office. Along with you is the woman from Verdanturf town, the five other trainers, and last but not least Professor Samuel Oak. One thing bothers you though how exactly did you end up from a plane to standing in the office of Prof. Oak.

(Exception if you lived in Kanto to start; as you come to you find yourself standing in a lab office with five other trainers, a women and Prof Oak)

"Ahem, good day new trainers welcome to Saffron City and what will hopefully become the new starting point for trainers to start there journey" Oak says as he nods to the woman who turns around and grabs a tray with pokeball's on it.

"Now you will receive your first pokemon, this pokemon and you will share a great bond with each other. They will ultimately become your best friend in the whole world, also for this journey to be successful you must begin to forget everything you think you no about your past and the world as it is" Oak says before taking a breath while she begins walking down the line and handing a pokeball to each of you. You notice another odd thing the pokeballs are not the traditional red and white, instead they are black and white.

"Last but not least here is your pokedex" Oak says before handing one to each of you and wishing you good luck on your journey.

"After you check out your new pokemon, you should decide where you will go for your first badge, if you decide to stay in Kanto first very well, but if you decide on one of the other regions you will head north out of the building and to the Magnet Train station. Just show them your pokedex and you'll be admitted aboard" Oak says before finally vanishing from the room out a side door.

Now that you have received your starter pokemon it is time to begin your journey, but you begin to get an odd sense that this may be no normal pokemon journey.

    End of the Chapter 1.

"Mom," Chavive mumbled, a bit put-off by her mother's consistent insistence on her and Saige's eventual failure out in the real world, "I'm sure Saige and I will be fine. You did get us a direct transport to Saffron after all. I don't think anything bad is going to happen."

But her mother would have none of it. As if in desperate need of something to do whilst Chavive ate the breakfast she'd prepared her, the woman unpacked Chavive's backpack, re-checking the contents and re-folding the clothing even tighter than the first time. She couldn't help but worry about her poor, shy, blind baby.

"I just think," she began, for the fifth time that morning, "that you and Saige would be just as happy staying here and training a bit more in the backyard. Then maybe I could take you two up to the Safari Zone in the summer, and you could try and catch a nice Chancey!"

Chavive pouted at the breakfast table, putting down her fork. The waffles that had seemed so good just a few minutes ago were starting to rot in her mouth. She looked down at Saige, sitting on the floor next to her. He returned a blank stare, twitching one yellow and black ear absentmindedly. Chavive couldn't quite see his other ear, but she was sure it was duplicating the action.

"Mom, they don't even let pokemon fight at the Safari Zone. And Chansey are really rare."

"Sure they are," her mother returned absently, obviously not caring, "but that's half the fun of looking for them."

It seemed her mother was the only one Chavive could convey anything to, and it was just her luck that her mother was the only one who never listened to anything Chavive said. Chavive sighed, picking her fork back up and finishing the rest of her breakfast in a few short bites. She knew her mother would just use it as one more excuse to keep her and Saige there if she didn't finish her food.

"Piiiii" Saige hummed next to her. She saw his ears perk up and twitch.

"The taxi-man's here!" Chavive called happily, hopping up to go peek out the window. Saige followed, jumping up on Chavive's shoulder for a better look.

"Don't run dear," her mother called after her, "It could just be your father home early."

But Chavive was right. Out front sat a green car, on the side of which were the words, "Kanto Taxi-Service!" A boy on his bicycle rode by, craning his neck to get a better look. Some pidgey hopped close to the vehicle, but back away when the driver opened his door.

Chavive's mom walked into the front room, opening the door before the man could ring the bell. He smiled, tipped his hat, and gave the customary greetings for a taxi driver. Some money exchanged hands, and the man went back to his car to wait for the girl and her Pikachu. Chavive's mom turned to face the duo with tears in her eyes. By the time she'd gotten the two trapped in a hug, she was practically blubbering.

"P-p-puhleeeeese be safe!" she sobbed. "Don't buy strange things or talk to creepy people or fight pokemon that you know are too stroooooong!"

Chavive shot a look at Saige, who was perched on her shoulder, using her mother's shoulder for balance. He seemed a bit nervous about whether they'd be getting out of there alive.

"Mom, we'll be fine," was all she said, unsure of what else she could say to ease her mother's emotional typhoon. "You and father can get a hold of us at any time, remember?"

"Yes," her mother said, pulling away and sniffing hard, "I know. It's just so hard to lose my baby."

Chavive nodded, not wanting to say anything else. Reaching out towards the backpack, which was a tad out of her view, she missed it by a few inches. Her mother gave a grumble of worry, but Chavive reached out another time, grabbing the bag, and tossed it over her shoulders in a swift movement that almost knocked over Saige. She made her way towards the door. Her mother gave another watery sigh and sniff, and Chavive turned around in the doorway to give her a smile and another hug.

"Bye Mom," she said quietly, pulling back and walking backwards out the door. "I love you. And tell father I love him too."

And with that, Chavive wasted no time dashing down the steps and into the car. She waved goodbye to her mother as the car pulled away, then sat back with a huge sigh when the house was out of sight. The car bounced along, and Chavive felt herself becoming more and more free.

About twenty minutes had passed, thankfully in silence, but Chavive kept noticing things she desperately wanted to see closer up. A herd of rattatta kept pace with the cab for a bit, before veering off and disappearing into the woods. A spearow and pidgey were fighting, but Chavive never saw the outcome, what with the scenery flying by.

Chavive was desperate to talk to the driver, but was having trouble bringing herself to do it. She held Saige close, petting him hard. He grunted a bit, but didn't complain. Finally, after a rather loud grunt from Saige, she opened her mouth.

"S-s-sir?" she stuttered quietly, almost hoping he didn't hear her.

She didn't see the man move his head to acknowledge her speech, so when he spoke, it frightened her considerably.

"Now little lady," he said, causing Chavive to flinch slightly and tighten her hold on Saige just a bit more. "There's no need to call me Sir. I'm Sammy. What can I do for you?"

Chavive smiled, but was still blushing deeply. Talking to this man was taking a toll on her, and on poor Saige as well. He was currently being heavily petted, his ears getting pulled back in sweeping motions.

"Would it be too much trouble," she practically whispered, "for you to stop the car?"

Up front, Sammy smiled. He'd wondered how long it would take for the young trainer to want to get out and explore the scenery. There weren't many kids that passed up the opportunity to adventure—that was the whole point of leaving home right? In fact, Sammy had never driven for anyone besides the older businessmen, who had no interest in walking from place to place and messing up their good dress shoes.

"Well maybe I could, but would you and your Pikachu be okay?"

"Oh yes," Chavive said happily, this time at a normal volume. She was gaining strength from Sammy's kindness. "Saige is strong. We practice together a lot."

Sammy was already slowing the car down, looking for a safe place to let the two off. He came to a place in the road where a nice middle-aged woman was walking, in the same direction the young lady and her Pikachu needed to go. Perfect! The little girl needed someone nice to travel with—who knows how nervous she'd get on her own?

"Well, if your sure, then I'll let you off here. But you gotta promise me something."

"W-what?" Chavive said, a bit nervous.

"That you'll never tell that mother of yours that I let you out before we got there."

Chavive blinked a few times, taking a moment to comprehend the joke. Then she giggled, and it was a cute little noise that made Sammy smile wide. Stopping the car, he bid the girl and the pikachu farewell before driving off.

Saige stood atop Chavive's shoulder once again. He was sure it would be up to him to help her with this new acquaintance. The woman had stopped walking and was now looking at the two curiously. Chavive nodded at her, and the woman returned the nod with a smile.

"Hello there," she said in a high voice. It made Chavive flinch a bit, but she returned with her own hello.

"H-hello. I'm Chavive, and this is Saige."

She gestured towards the Pikachu on her shoulder, attempting a smile. The woman nodded, continuing to smile, then spoke in her unnerving high-pitched voice once again.

"You wouldn't happen to be on your way to Saffron City for the beginning of the New League would you?"

On her shoulder, Saige twitched his ears. This didn't sound right. He rubbed his shoulder against Chavive's ear, and she frowned a bit, not answering.

    "Well, are you?"

This time the woman was a bit more pressing. Chavive's eyes widened a bit in fear. She couldn't see all of the woman's face, but it seemed the smile was fading a bit.

"Y-y-yes." Chavive mumbled, not wanting this woman to pester her anymore. She began to walk, to get past the woman and maybe catch back up to the cab. It was a silly idea, seeing as the cab was long out of sight, but the woman was starting to scare Chavive a little, and she could feel Saige making agitated movements next to her. She kept her eyes down, but Saige kept his eyes directly on the woman the whole time.

But the woman didn't seem to care that Chavive was moving-- she stood still until Chavive and Saige had to pass her, then spoke again.

"Well I am going to be your escort there."

"Wha-?" Chavive started to say, turning her head back towards the woman, but it was then she felt a sharp pinch in her neck. She heard Saige growling loudly, then squealing, before everything went black.

Keaton and the rest of his family sat at the dinner table, except for his mom who was cooking in the kitchen next to the table.

"So son, are you ready for tomorrow when you go out to the harbor to head for Verdanturf?" Keaton's dad asked.

"Yeah, everything is packed and ready to go. I can't wait to start my journey!" Keaton replied enthusiastically. "Hey Zac, when do you set out?" Keaton asked half interestedly half teasing as they often did to each other.

Zachary smiled and rolled his eyes a little at the tone of voice Keaton had used, "Well it'll be about three weeks from today. And I still can't decide on witch starter I'm going to choose, either Totodile or Cyndaquill. Keaton then realized that he had no idea what kind of Pokémon he would have to choose from, or if he even got to choose. As if Zachary could read his mind he was thinking the same thing, "So what Pokémon do you get to choose from Keaton?" every one directed their attention to Keaton, they where all curious. Zachary had been going around asking people which they thought was better and babbling on about it for weeks. Keaton on the other hand had said nothing about that.

"I don't know. The letter didn't mention anything on what starters we will be choosing from. So I guess I'll just send you a message when I choose." Keaton said as he pondered what Pokémon may be available. Everyone ate as they thought of more dinner conversation.

"Keaton, I'm making hard boiled eggs so you can make sandwiches for your trip." His mom said. Keaton's smile got bigger, he loved egg salad sandwiches. It was a childhood favorite.

"Thanks." Keaton replied as his dad and Zachary got up and sat in front of the TV. Keaton eventually finished eating and everyone was watching TV.

An hour later everyone started to go to bed. Keaton went up to his dad who was still watching TV. "Bye dad, I'll keep in touch."

"You better." His dad said with a smile on his face. They both laughed and Keaton went down the hall into his parent's room and saw his mom sitting on the bed reading a book.

"Bye mom I'll miss you." He said standing next to her bed as she sat there. She looked at Keaton and smiled.

"I'll miss you too Keaton. But we can keep in touch and message each other often, as long as you aren't too busy." She said.

"I could never be too busy." He said as they hugged each other. "I'll send pictures of places I go and my Pokémon so It'll be like you where there." He continued. Then they finally stopped hugging to see that they were both tearing up.

    "Bye honey." She finished.

"Bye mom." And then he went to bed.

Keaton stood in the kitchen packing ten egg salad sandwiches, that he made with the hard boiled eggs his mom made for him the night before, when they said their goodbyes. He finished with the packing and walked into the Living room where he found Zachary watching TV.

"Well Zac, looks like I'm leaving before you." Keaton said with a smirk on his face. Zachary rolled his eyes and stood up.

"But your not getting rid of me just yet." Zachary said. Keaton had a puzzled look on his face. "Because I'm coming with you on the boat ride." He finished. They both smiled.

"Well I'll need someone to talk to huh?" Keaton replied as they walked out the door. On the short walk to the boat they just talked about what Pokémon Zachary was going to choose and what not. Then they approached the boat.

"All aboard!" Travis said as the two boys got into the boat. Travis was one of their dad's friends that happened to be in the boat business so he said he'd take Keaton to Verdanturf.

"Aye Aye captain!" Zachary said as he saluted and they boarded the boat.

    O.o o.O O.o o.O O.o o.O O.o o.O O.o o.O O.o o.O O.o o.O O.o o.O O.o o.O O.o o.O O.o o.O

They got to Verdanturf and Keaton got off, "Well Zac looks like I'll be leaving now." Keaton said with a big smile on his face.

"Ya, try to survive without me okay?" Zachary replied as Keaton rolled his eyes.

"Well I'll talk to ya as soon as I get my Pokémon. Bye." Keaton finished as he sent a quick wave at him.

"See ya Keaton!" Zachary yelled as Keaton walked for the Pokémon center.

    <<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<^>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>
Keaton sat at the table in the Pokémon center and was chowing down on some chicken noodle he got when a lady with long black hair wearing all black approached him and a couple other trainers that were also going for the new league. "Welcome I will be your escort to Saffron City, if we're all ready would you please follow me" the lady said. He and the others followed her out the back door to see a big grassy field with a passenger plane with the words 'A New Life Airlines" sitting in the middle. "Right this way." She said when she had escorted all of them on board, with Keaton first in line behind her.

The inside was amazing! It was a cream color interior with six seats three in a line on each side and a TV and laptop at each seat! He sat in the front right seat (Right being if you where sitting in the hall way of it facing the front of the plane.)

"This is your captain speaking; we will now be taking off towards Saffron City… Arrival time is in two hours please enjoy the ride if you get hungry please feel free to order and kind of food you'd like we want you to be as comfortable as possible" The captain said as they took off. After the announcement he immediately picked up the headphones and started watching TV and surfing the web mindlessly.

About thirteen minutes into the ride he looked at the menu, as he was getting hungry. He called the lady over and ordered the breaded shrimp and a soda. She told him that it would only take three minutes to get his food.

Time passed and soon Keaton started to get frustrated it had been about seven minutes! The lady who he ordered from walked by at that moment, "Where is my-" Keaton was about to say the rest until a flash of white light appeared and everything was just white.

(OOC: First to board! CHESS!<--(ask if you want explanation on this))

Sandeon: Good Post!! I also enjoyed the egg salad sandwhich part haha... Anyways I changed it up a bit so if anyone lived in Kanto or Olivine city would go to Saffron a differnt way so only a few of you will board the plane. Now move on!

    Chapter 1: So it Begins
    Post 1

    Spoiler:

Gerald checked his stuff again, yep, everything was there, luckily his parents weren't the type to fuss about him preparing sufficiently...probably because they had spent years hammering the rules of being on your own into his had as if it had been done a Zapdos power giant jackhammer. When he walked downstairs it was time to say goodbye the the family, first his parents and then his siblings, Gerald's older sister was the first-born child and ever since her their parents had had one new child each year until there were six, three boys, including Gerald, and three girls, Gerald hugged each member of his family and kissed each sister and his mother on the cheek before he headed out the door. The loving farewells and compliments and other such things Gerald heard as he walked off warmed his heart, but once he was far enough away he silently cried for a few minutes, the thought of not seeing such a great family for such a long time made him sad, but he would be back, and he would make sure to come back a champion.

With Gerald's invitation to join the new league had come a pass to go on the posh private jet that would be taking most of the trainers to where they would be starting but of course that was too laid back and boring for him, so he would be heading to Goldenrod city to take the Magnet Train straight to Saffron city. As Gerald walked through Olivine city he took what would be his last look for a long time at the beautiful ocean, made sure to say goodbye to everyone he walked by on the way out into the forest. In the forest Gerald saw many pokemon he had spent plenty of time playing with in the past, he really did live in a great place, but adventures and fun were waiting for him, it would be a terrible waste to stay in one place his whole life, no matter how beautiful.

Luckily Olivine City was pretty close to Goldenrod City, Gerald had only to go east through a very small forest to Ecruteak, and then south a ways to get there, where the Magnet Train was. As Gerald walked through Ecruteak City he thought of how much more it looked like a village than it did a city, the buildings looked like they were from another age of the world, one with no electricity where armys of soldiers and pokemon waged war upon eachother constantly. Walking through the south interway building of Ecruteak Gerald realized he had never seen much of it before and that he wanted to come back one day and learn as much as he could about the towns obviously long and eventful history.

Goldenrod city was the largest and most industrial City in all of Johto, although to be fair most towns in Johto are fairly rural, but nonetheless it was a little overwhelming to Gerald, all the buildings were so large, and towering above all of them was the enormous Johto Radio Tower, that supplied all the rado signals that pretty much everyone in the entire country listens to, Gerald was tempted to walk inside and look around, but there wasn't enough time, Gerald berated himself for not having done it sooner, in fact there were a lot of things he should have done in the couple weeks that he knew about his upcoming journey before it was actually time to go. There it was, the train station, time to go, Gerald walked in and was impressed by the comfortable looking furniture, up to date magazines and pleasant colors inside, when Gerald was right about to buy his train ticket a woman who looked like she was there for an important reason came up and spoke to him. "Excuse me, are you heading to Saffron City for anything special?" "Why yes." "I am too, thank you for your time." She said before bustling onto the train. "That was strange..."

When Gerald made it inside the train he saw the train was very nice, the seats were comfortable and a food and beverage man was walking up and down the aisles with a trolly full of delicacies offering his wares to the customers. After Gerald sat down the woman from before sat down next to him and startled him almsot out of his chair, but after a moment he ignore her presence and began to read a very enthralling adventure story about a pokemon in a society oppressed by humans that stood up for all the pokemon and drove the evil humans away he loved the main character and the way it was so smart and-a slight jolt sent him into darkness.

Chavive felt groggy when she awoke. It was unlike anything she'd ever felt before. No, check that—once she'd been very sick, and had been given heavy medicine for the sickness. She'd slept for a long time, and when she'd awoken, she'd felt completely free from the illness, but groggy and gross all the same. She had a burning desire to brush her teeth and walk around to stretch her muscles. All this ran through her head for about half a second, and then she remembered Saige.

"Saige!" she cried out, her eyes snapping open. She was in a chair, in a strange room, with five other people, a strange woman, and the famous Professor Oak. Around her were shelves full of books and scattered papers. A desk with a computer monitor sat in one corner, and another with a video phone on it resided in the opposite corner. She glanced around frantically, before her good eye was drawn to the yellow mass at the base of her chair. Saige was there, sleeping and snoring lightly. He was curled up on his side, with his stripes rising and falling in rhythm with his breathing.

Chavive's breath caught in her throat. She reached down and lifted Saige up, settling him on her lap. He was still asleep, but he seemed absolutely fine. Looking up and around, it seemed that no one had noticed her outburst. Immediately the room seemed to small for all these people. She looked for an exit, but the only one she could see was behind Professor Oak. She'd seen him on TV several times, and knew he was a good man, but her mind was locking up. What kind of good man would send a woman out to drug her and drag her back to his lab? Was this some sort of strange experiment?

The other grown woman in the room was unnerving as well. Chavive didn't recognize her, but thanked her stars that she wasn't the same woman who'd knocked her out. She shuddered, pulling Saige up closer to her. Chavive's breathing quickened, but she noticed that she was not harmed. Her backpack sat next to her, on the other side of the chair from where Saige had been sleeping. She couldn't quite see it until she'd turned her head though, and the bag surprised her, though it was a pleasant thing to know all her things were still in her possession. The boy to her right, whom she could see, was a severe redhead, with tons of freckles on his face. He seemed about as surprised as her, and in this state she could not speak to him. She couldn't see to her left, but a girls voice rose from that direction. She shuddered, closing her eyes to avoid talking.

Professor Oak's voice boomed from the center of the room, familiar to Chavive from the many television and radio programs the man had hosted. Nevertheless, it prompted a small squeak from the girl, and a tightening of her grip on Saige, who grunted a bit in his sleep.

"Ahem," he began, his kindly voice surprising Chavive, "good day new trainers. Welcome to Saffron City and what will hopefully become the new starting point for trainers to start there journey"

So they were in Saffron? And these were all the new trainers that were traveling with Chavive? So she'd made it to where the letter had told her to then. Inside, she cheered herself. Regardless of how it had happened, things were going right so far. Behind Oak, the woman moved around, picking up a tray of white and black balls and walking towards the chairs where Chavive and the five other trainers sat. Chavive had to turn her head to the left as the woman disappeared from her vision. She was speaking to each trainer in turn, and each trainer then took a ball into their hands. Oak spoke again as the woman went to each trainer.

"Now you will receive your first pokemon. This pokemon and you will share a great bond with each other. They will ultimately become your best friend in the whole world."

A new pokemon? Chavive began panicking—she already had Saige, was this okay? She wasn't sure she could make another best friend right this moment. She squirmed in her chair, moaning quietly and petting Saige. Oak continued to speak in his strong, informative voice.

"Also for this journey to be successful you must begin to forget everything you think you know about your past and the world as it is."

Before Chavive could process this, the woman reached her. She yelped as the smiling face slipped into her view.

"It's okay," she said quietly, reaching onto the tray for a specific ball. "We were aware that you already had a Pikachu, but you have not yet officially captured him—is that right?"

Chavive stayed quiet, shaking her head back and forth instead and holding Saige's body to her chest. The woman smiled, obviously aware of and amused by Chavive's shyness.

"Don't worry. I'm going to give you this pokeball, and you can use it to capture your Pikachu. Then he can be your official starting pokemon. Is that alright?"

She held out the black and white pokeball to Chavive. In lieu of an answer, Chavive reached out and took it, gluing her eyes to the orb and not bothering to look back up at the woman. She heard her straighten up, and then move on to the redheaded boy next to her. Below the pokeball, Saige shifted, waking up in the same groggy fashion as Chavive.

"Last but not least," Oak spoke, pulling Chavive's attention away for a moment"here is your pokedex."

He stepped forward, handing a pokedex to each trainer, and wishing them all good luck in turn. When he reached Chavive, Saige had awakened fully. She pet him soothingly, but he still grimaced at Oak, showing his teeth silently. Chavive reached over his black and gold ears to take the pokedex from Oak.

"Good luck Chavive," the man said pleasantly, smiling at her in a reassuring way. "I'm sure we can expect great things from you and Saige."

Chavive gasped, hearing her and Saige's names. She hadn't realized that Oak knew that information, or would bother to learn it for that matter. The pokedex and pokeball now took up both her hands, so she could no longer pet Saige, but her face lit up with a deep blush as Oak moved on to the next boy.

Saige turned in Chavive's lap, looking up at her. He noticed the pokeball, and sniffed it for a moment. Chavive followed his movements with her eyes. He glanced at her, then bopped his nose against the button, which immediately shot out a light, surrounding the small creature. Chavive felt the weight in her lap dissipate all at once, and then Saige was gone. The pokeball shook a single time in her hand, and was then still.

Chavive couldn't help but notice that she was now horribly and epically alone. She looked at the pokedex in her hand, before laying it down on her lap. She fumbled with the pokeball for a moment, reaching up to push the hairband on her forehead back into place, and then finally found the button. The same beam of light poured from the ball, and then Saige was standing in front of her on the floor, blinking in mild surprise. He hopped up onto her lap, knocking the pokedex to the side. It blinked and beeped, but then was silent. Chavive pat Saige once, before placing the pokeball and pokedex into her backpack.

Saige seemed unphased from the capture, and Chavive was happy everything was going off without a hitch. She looked up and around, trying to decide what the next course of action was expected of her.

Rainbow Munchies: Good post! Chavive caught Saige!

I'm only going to post another chapter though if a few more people post.

Fantasy sat in one of the more comfortable chairs in the waiting room while he waited for the nurse to finish with the Eevee he had found earlier. And to think, this morning, I had no idea that something like this would happen. Fantasy shifted in the chair and involuntarily yawned. He looked at the clock and noticed it was past twelve o'clock. He looked back at the emergency room doors and then to the floor. Slowly his eyes fell and he was soon fast asleep.

Fantasy's dream consisted of the events that had happened that day.

"FANTASY!" Fantasy turned over and looked at his clock. He jerked into a sitting position so quickly that he felt dizzy. "Crap, it's already past 10. I'm going to be late?!" He jumped up and looked around his room quickly. In a few moments he knew the events that he would do to get ready and set about doing them. His mother looked in through his door.

"I'm going to miss you. Here." She placed a small backpack by his door. "There's a little something from everyone around town. I'll let you find out what's in it later." She turned around and went down the hallway.

"Wow." Fantasy said to himself, "She must think I won't come back. Well, I'm not going to die or anything. I'll have pokemon with me. I know what I need to do, what not to do, so on and so on." After about an houor of packing, Fantasy had everything he was going to need. The fact that he was going to need everything in his room, which he was able to pack, was of no consequence. He never really had many things in his room ever. He basically had only a few books, paper, his Laptop, a small prototype personal printer and clothes. He stood at the door and hugged his mother. "I'll come back. Definitely." He turned and left out the door with his medium sized suitcase in his hand and the bag his mother gave him.

After a few days of walking, Fantasy finally reached the Airport in Hearthome City. He got in line and waited until It was time to board. On the plane he noticed that thee were tables in the back. "We may sit wherever we want, right?" he asked a waitress.

"Yes. We ask that you remain in an area where we may see you in case of emergency."

"Ok, thanks." Fantasy went to a table in the back and picked up the bag his mother had given him. In side was the gear of a master pokemon trainer, namely his father's. In a minute the bags entire contents were laid out on the table. His fathers set of pokeballs (empty of coarse, the pokemon were released when his father died), His father's pokedex (now set up for him), A belt for holding the pokeballs, as well as pouches for treats and/or other small things, a leather jacketthat is made from imported leather with an image of a Pokeball spinning as though it was just thrown as well as little images of each and every pokemon that his father had caught/ seen in his prime, and there was one final box that was at the bottom of the bag. In this box was a piece of paper under a large pile of Poke Dollars. The note read:

    Dear Fantasy

I have decided to leave you everything I had when I was a pokemon trainer. I've given this bag to your mother, so she will be the one who gives it to you, as at that time I'll have been dead for awhile. Son, even though you weren't my birth son, you made a very good one. I'm proud of you. Use my gear when you absolutely need to. Keep it all safe, for none of it can be replaced. I have also left you 1,000,000 Poke Dollars for whatever purposes you might need it for. Good luck on your Journey,

    Love,
    Dad

Fantasy smiled. "You did say you would always be looking out for me Dad. Thank you. I'll cherish it always." He went to place everything back into the bag and when he went to place the box that held the money (he had already placed it in his wallet), A second slip of paper fell from the bottom. The paper was folded over something and it made a clink sound when it hit the floor. Fantasy bent to pick it up, but pricked himself while picking it up. He finally got the object up and the first thing he noticed was that it held a needle and syringe on the side, (that's what pricked him), and there were 2 words written on the chip. "Fatal Flaw" is what it said.He looked at his finger and was surprised that he wasn't bleeding. He wrapped the chip, broke the needle point so no one else would be pricked, and he proceed to flush it down the toilet. That done, He decided to sleep some. He was feeling tired.

When Fantasy woke up, the plane had landed and the other passengers were filing off. He was the last one off. As soon as he set foot onto the walkway, the plane moved out. He went to the door and Fantasy went to a hotel that had a huge sign that was there so the new trainers would know where to go. Fantasy walked up to his room, placed his stuff down, and went back outside for a walk. If he sat down, he would fall asleep. Jet Lag sucks. On his way, he looked up at the Silph Co. and remembered stories about how Team Rocket had taken it over.

    "...ee."

Fantasy went back to walking and thought he heard something.

    "v...ee."

It sounded like a cat that was lost. Fantasy looked around and saw the alley. "Might as well look there."

    ".......vee."

Fantasy looked down at where he was about to step. All he saw at first was blood. "Wait a minute, BLOOD?!" He moved his foot and sure enough there was something there, dying in the alley. He bent to pick the creature up and saw that it was an Eevee (flash back for readers. the liquid labeled "Fatal Flaw" is how he got his fatal flaw to begin with.) Right as soon as he turned he looked up and stopped just in time to not run into a group of shady characters. They had ragged and tattered 'R' designs on their shirts. These must be Rocket Remnants. Fantasy turned around and saw more of the Rockets.

"Hey, Kid. Put my Eevee down or hand me all of your pokemon in exchange." The Rocket that spoke did a small gesture behind his back telling the others that when he got the pokemon to knock him out and take the Eevee as well. Fantasy tensed and then calmed down. Suddenly he started to chuckle. He looked down at the Eevee and blinked at it. The Eevee looked back, injured as it was and nodded to him. "You want this Eevee back so badly? Then take him from my COLD DEAD ARMS!" Fantasy tightened his grip on Eevee and the Rockets all charged at him. Fantasy jumped up and back, stepping into a flip off a Rocket's head, and landing behind the pile of dizzy Rockets.Fantasy then brought his arm back and tossed the Eevee in the direction he had just come from. The rockets took this opportunity to try to knock Fantasy senseless. Fantasy ducked under the first swing, reached over and picked up a pipe and spun, hitting the first Rocket in the back of the head. He turned to the rest of the group and began to run towards them as they ran towards him. He clashed his pipe with the lead Rockets baton, which broke as if it were butter, and Fantasy followed through with a quick elbow jab to the center of the Rocket's face. Two more rushed him, which he easily front-flipped over and connected their heads with his pipe. The last three in the alley each pulled out guns. Little pistols with a horrible recoil on them. The three fired in sequence as Fantasy got closer. He dodged the bullet to his right, but the bullet that was meant for his head grazed his neck and the one on his left slammed into his left arm, putting a little spin in Fantasy's step. He reached the three Rockets, who were recovering from their recoil, and hit each of them upside the head. A split second later, Fantasy caught the, now fainted Eevee, and slowly made his way out of the alley. Officer Jenny rode up on her bike and saw Fantasy, bleeding, bruised, and ever so slightly groggy stumble out of the alley. He walked toward her and she went to say something, But Fantasy couldn't hear her. He mumbled as he past her, "Rockets in the alley." She gasped and sent the other policemen who had just arrived to the scene. Jenny stepped in front of Fantasy and stopped him. That's when it all when black. He woke sleepily and the clock said 11:00 which meant that he had been out for at least three to four hours. Jenny and Nurse Joy of Saffron city walked over to Fantasy and as Nurse Joy silently looked over his wounds and then began to treat them, Jenny told Fantasy that the Eevee was in emergency care and wouldn't be out for another few hours yet. Fantasy declined the offer to be driven back to his hotel, stating that he would wait right there in the waiting room.
