Welcome to the E3 review competition. I decided that now all the dust has settled over the, arguably, biggest gaming event of the year, I would try and whip up some creative flow from you all.

Competition Start Date: Wednesday 13th June 2012
Competition End Date: Sunday 1st July 2012
Results posted: 2nd - 3rd July 2012 (Depending on the number of entrants)

What is this competition about? Plainly put, this competition is a written review about the events of E3. You can talk about any aspect of it, you can talk about one show or all shows, it is entirely up to you. If you are unsure if you can white about your subject, ask your self, was it spoke about/demoed/shown at E3 in some form? If yes, then go ahead.
As long as you follow the rules, which follow this, then you can write about that subject.
If you are unsure of anything, feel free to contact myself.

The Rules Please make sure all written reviews follow these rules.
    • Review MUST be no more than 1000 words With there being so much happening at E3, I decided that 1000 would be a nice amount for you to keep to. This means you can write enough, in my eyes, to get a good review set up. YOU DO NOT HAVE TO WRITE UP TO 1000.
    • You must draw a conclusion Conclusion - "the last main division of a discourse, usually containing a summing up of the points and a statement of opinion or decisions reached."
I cannot stress this enough, I want to see peoples opinions and feelings over the show, so I would like to see a conclusion, even if it is just your quick feeling about the topic you have wrote about.
    • Please use correct grammar Any reviews that use chat speak or text speak won't be judged. This is a review competition, so English grammar comes hand in hand. Do not worry if you struggle with spellings; have a go at it but don't worry if you are unsure on some words, I will know what you mean.
    • Write at least a paragraph I said there is no minimum word limit, but to stand a chance, you should write at least one paragraph. There are so many things that you can write about, that I am sure you will all write lots. Remember, you do not have to write exactly 1000 words, that is just a maximum word count so I don't end up reading essays!
    • Submit by posting here only This is just to make it easier to keep track of who is in the competition and make sure no one is forgotten about.
    • Do not copy/steal someone else's review I read a lot of reviews online and I will check everyone's reviews for plagiarism. You are welcome to quote other reviews or people, but make sure you reference where you have taken it from. Anyone found to be actively copying will be disqualified from the competition and you won't receive any emblems.

Prizes As ever, there are prizes in these competitions.
First, second and third place will all receive a rank emblem and everyone who enters will receive a participation emblem, so what what you got to lose?

You have over two weeks to make a constructive review, which is plenty of time for everyone to get something in.
If you are struggling with what to write about, why not browse the E3 thread we have on PC, located HERE. Failing that, there are already many reviews out there.

You are welcome to post in this thread to register your interests and then post later to submit your review.

If you have any questions, please contact Captain Fabio. Happy reviewing.
