    Episode 252: The Ice Cave

I watched it.. And I do not see why they banned it:cer_confused:.. I heard something about Racial Stereotypes,, But
Could any please explain the reason in depth to me...

It was banned mainly about Jynx being a racial stereotype for african-americans, with its big pink lips and pure black skin. After this episode, Jynx's skin color was edited to dark purple. Also, the influenza / SARS disease that Brock had caught during the Ice Cave episode was another part of why the episode was banned.

Why was it also banned because of brocks "desease"??

SARS is REALLY REALLY REALLY REALLY REALLY serious. So many people in Asia (especially China) have died from it. Also, anyone who has it must be quarantined.

*Looks Up SARS* Ohh I see what you guys mean.. Okey dolkely. Well how Do you guys Like Jynx::

    Purple, or Black??/

Black, it looks better, and it's not intended to be a racial stereotype.

Also, I never knew, was this episode ever translated or aired in English at any point?

Sorry, but I'll have to remove the video. Posting a full episode is not allowed.

People still see it as a racial figure and back then Jinx still had black skin so why would they air a racial Pokemon in a country where almost 50% of the people are black.

50%? If you're referring to America, I'm pretty sure about 13% of the population is black. Unless you're judging by advertisements.

i kinda like jinx better purple, maybe because im just used to it by now :)
