Anyone ever realized that every two gyms have a relationship?

Flying is super effective to bug
Normal doesn't affect ghost and vice versa
Fighting is super effective to steel
Ice is super effective to dragon

I dunno, I randomly noticed it...

nah i noticed that long ago.. as that was pretty stupid, falkner (violet city leader) had a level 9 pidgeotto that i don't think you can find in G/S/C (however in yellow i remember it possible in viridian forst, meybe he time machined that pidgeotto?) now that reallly hit my chikorita hard

Perhaps he did, but it's not uncommon for Gym leaders from Johto or Kanto to have Pokémon that are unavailable to the trainer at the time (Prime examples being in Brock's Gym when a Sandshrew, Diglett, Onix and Geodude are used - none of which you're able to catch before you arrive at Pewter unless you've cheated/glitched).

On topic, I actually didn't notice that but it's coincidence surely? The same thing happens in R/B/Y. Rock (Brock) is weak against Water (Misty), Grass (Erika) is resistant to Electric (Surge), Poison (Koga) is weak against Psychic (Sabrina) and Fire (Blaine) is weak against Ground (Giovanni). I think the developers just wanted to order the leaders by how much of a challenge they would be so that the game has a nice pace about it and it keeps the player interested.

thats what pissed me off all the time, the fact that we can't have a lv.9 Pidgeotto when we're in Johto, but he can =[
