Some "leaked images" and E3 plans have said something about the title for the new Zelda U being "The Legend Of Zelda: Shard Of Nightmare"

What do you guys think? Is this the actual title, a working title, or completely made up? I'd love to hear your thoughts!

I personally think the image is a fake, due to the angle of the image, the blurriness, and the small overall image size. It also has no real "source" as it just sort of "popped" up. The E3 plan could be real however, we'll just have to wait and see what Nintendo has to say!

A quick google can give you both the e3 floor plan and the image, as I have not yet made enough posts yet to be able to post links (crap xD)

You have 15 posts now, so you should edit the link and/or picture in when you get a chance. :) Anyway, that title sounds kind of like a 14 year old's fan fic. But if it were to be a real title, I'm sure it would somehow string together and make sense. After all, I never thought Wind Waker or Skyward Sword were great titles either, but then I saw how they worked with the story and what you do in the games, so they ended up making sense and working haha. Plus, that title does hint at a darker toned Zelda game, which would be nice. While I think Skyward Sword did a good job of being dark when it was necessary, it was still very bright and pretty overall. A darker turn would be fun.

If it's anything like the graphcs in Twilight Princess and Skyward Sword, I am there so fast that Sonic will lose out to me.

Even if the image is fake, hopefully the general idea of the game is not. Shard of Nightmare sounds like a bad anime title, but if I'm being honest, it sounds like it would be a neat Zelda game.

I don't know. Could be something, likely not. I'm skeptical of the logo, the S overlapping the Z looks odd. But the rest of what I'm assuming is a title screen... look twilight princess inspired and we know the demo was headed that direction. So, who knows.

Gimme a new entry in the Child Era branch. I'm all for that. Majora, twilight princess, Four Swords Adventures... it's the dark branch of the timelines.

HELL. YES. I would love to play as child Link again in general really, whatever branch it's off. Not really related, but I always preferred playing as Young Link in Melee as opposed to adult Link. I've just generally liked Link more as a child, I suppose.

On one hand, there's a lot of fake alerts.
The subtitle overlaps the title, it's a blurry pic at an awkward angle, it's in freakin' English, the lighting direction on the text is different if you look at the title and the subtitle, Link isn't in the shot, the name is anime-as-hell, and it goes against how Nintendo usually releases a Zelda title.. by just being called "The Legend of Zelda."
All of these things raised red flags, and I only looked at it for a few moments.

But I want to believe it.
It's been so long since we had a darker themed Zelda. And Nightmare was the final boss of Link's Awakening, so the title could hold water.. And they really need something to hike up Wii U sales.

Man. I'm still waiting for the continuously-promised MM re-release, though.. That one was my favorite and they keep toying with my heart. :c

    Fake.

Main Zelda games are NEVER presented with a final title. It would be called The legend of Zelda, and, in E3 2015, we will know the final title. Just as with Ocarina of Time, Majora's Mask Wind Waker, Twilight Princess, Skyward Sword...

Don't forget link between worlds, that was completely vague for ages, for about two months, all we knew were: it's a SCRATCH MADE LoZ game for the 3ds and that it was (even though we now know this is true) supposedly a sequel to a link to the past
About Shard of Nightmare, I agree with Alkaiser, it's happened all the time, it's really blurry, and the text makes it look like it's been photoshoped, it's incredbly easy when you know how to photoshop.
