I have MD2:darkness and I always have trouble beating the third "boss" Luxray and his crew of Luxio. Does anyone have any tips on beating them? I have a brand new team I'm going to try out, and mudkip should be more helpful than bulbasaur. Should I take out Luxray first? Or all of his Luxio?

use moves like wide slash thunderbolt and moves that are super efective have one menber go after him the rest all for his sidekicks if you want wonder mail codes for moves that hit more than one target tell me what the okemoin is you want moves for and i will get you a code for items compatable =)

    Insert random filler here.

I took a full team since the Luxio are fairly easy to beat and my strongest recruits could easily handle them. Since Luxray is the strongest, I put him to sleep with a Sleep Seed while I finished off the Luxio. Also, take plenty of Oran Berries and Reviver Seeds, they're alwyays good!

I had no problems with luxray team. I used a good set of pokemon, Turtwig and Cyndaquil. But yeah I didnt have a problem, I used razer leaf and never really moved, let them get near me.

Thats true, You must keep alot of reviver seeds, Also bring some other seeds.. such as X-Eye Seed, Seeds that could confuse them, Also use some moves that could effect the whole room, Or heres I strategy I use, I stun Luxray and start defeating the Luxio after I defeated all the Luxio I start attacking Luxray ;D Easy Peasy ;D

Recruit as many teammates as you can in Amp Plains, and if you have any Gastrodon on your team already, bring them (they know Mud Bomb; it's super effective). Electrike are also helpful as they have the Lightningrod ability.

The Luxio on the left side will gang up on your partner, along with Luxray, so just let them do their thing. Bring Reviver Seeds and Heal Seeds; Luxray will confuse your partner with Swagger (it's probably the most annoying thing he can do).

If you bring other teammates in, let them attack the Luxio on the bottom. They can usually handle themselves pretty well.

You can attack the Luxio on the right side. Once they're gone, you can go help your partner with Luxray and any remaining Luxio. There's usually one Luxio that wanders off along the top and doesn't do anything, so you'll have to go catch him and attack him.

Remember, without Luxray, the Luxio are powerless. Once he's gone, you have a really good chance of winning.

This was a toughy for me too. It took me like 6 tries before i beat them. I recruited a gastrodan. It helps with mud bomb and can take a thunderbolt due to it's typing.

I just used a butterfree, which used sleep, stun, and poison powder. I then just attacked the luxio while they were asleep, and beat it second try.

But gastrodon, electrike, and moves that hit whole areas will help.

Recruit Electabuzz and Gifarigig. Make Gifarigig learn nothing but agility so your whole team will be extremely fast. Electabuzz is just a great one you should have with you. And what ever you do, don't start off fighting with Luxray. Go for the Luxios first. And you should also learn a move that effects all enemy Pokemon in that room. Hope this helps!

Well i found no difficulty doing this as i was level 39 when i vsed Luxray group (A few Golden Seeds and over trained) I just used Sleep Seeds, Reviver Seeds, Oran Berries (even though i didn't need reviver seeds or oran berries). Sleep seeds own Luxray. Go for the Luxio first as they only have about 70 health each

i was mid 20 with turtwig (me) and piplup. i beat the **** out of them smashed luxio and steamrollored the rest

Luxray and his Luxio Tribe is hard for me too, and this is what I did.

I battled the Luxios first, there's no point in Killing Luxray since Boss Pokemons (Another eg. Wigglytuff, Darkrai) have more HP, So it's really a waste of PP.

After you defeat all Luxio, You have cornered Luxray, so It's really easy to beat him (It would help if you have recruited a Pokemon on the way there.)

Ofcourse, Reviver Seeds is a must.

I had no problem beating the Luxray and Luxio's up, they were easy. Both of my Pokemon had Protect and they were long range hitters

This way of defeating them didn't work for me, but it might work on anyone else:
Sleep Luxray via Sleep Seed, then start to massacre the Luxios. Once finished with the Luxios kill Luxray.
I went in Amp Plains at level 19-20 trying this and before I figured to try another route I was level 30-31... So next I tried this, grant it, it was eaiser because of the high level:
Before entering set your parter to only use his most effective move. Sleep Luxray then kill him. Your recruits and parter will handle some of the Luxio while you do this. After finished with Luxray go and kill the rest of the Luxios at the bottom. On my go there was a confused Luxio behind the rock not being able to figure out the way to attack me... But by the time I only had that one Luxio left all of my recruits fainted.. they did good though.

I actually had no tactics. I just went straight in and attacked them all with my most effective attacks and let my partner do whatever. We ended up killing Luxray half way through with 3 Luxios left over. And both at level 20 something.
