    The Magikarp Salesman was a character from the anime notorious for conning Team Rocket into buying weak Pokémon. He first appeared while Ash and friends were aboard the St. Anne in Vermilion City, where James was fooled into buying a Magikarp, who evolved into a Gyarados after getting kicked by James, and later blasted them off with Dragon Rage. The Magikarp Salesman has tricked Team Rocket into buying two Magikarp and a Hoppip, and also fooled James into trading his Victreebel for a Weepinbell. His most recent major appearance was during DP021, but he made a cameo during BW116. A Magikarp Salesman also appeared in Part 2 of Origins.

    What do you guys think of the Magikarp Salesman? Do you like him as a character? What is your favorite scheme of his? Would you like to see him make an appearance in XY? If he was brought back for an episode of XY, who would you want him to con and how?
     
    I actually do enjoy seeing him around! Although he doesn't make much appearance--which, I believe, is a good thing, because if he had, he wouldn't seem that special any longer, and many of us would have grown tired of his stints--he still brings something to the table: comedy.

    Would I like to see him again in future? Sure, why not? As long as they don't make it too frequent (due to reasons I've stated here), all should be well, I believe.
