Ok i dont know if anyone else has asked this question but if they can make a pokeball that can catch any pokemon without fail...how come those arent the standard? how come were forced to use the crappy ones the whole time?

Well in the pokemon world I think its because if Masterballs were mass produced trainers would just abuse it and catch way to many pokemon.

If in the games Masterballs were made the standard it would take some of the challenge out of the game. There would no longer be a point for catch rates since every pokemon would be catchable at the same rate. Also catching legendaries wouldn't be as much fun anymore.

I seem to recall that Team Rocket's attempted takeover of Silph halted the plans on making more Master Balls... if it hadn't been for Red stopping them, they'd have gotten their hands on it, and imagine if they could've caught more than Zubat and Koffing...

Plus, if Master Balls were standard, imagine how quickly the wildlife would be depopulated.
