The Mew story of Leaf Green: True or False?

After following up and getting a jirachi from the recent event, i decided to go after my biggest pain: mew. Ive been trying to get it for months. So one person in Pc must know if mew is obtainable in Leaf Green? And i dont want fake lies on how to get it. Thanx! =3
