You can use periods and start a new sentence.
It can be as random as you want as long as it is not gibberish.

Person 1: One day a
Person 2: One day a Pikachu went to
Person 3: One day a Pikachu went to the PokeMart to
Person 4: One day a Pikachu went to the PokeMart to buy rainbow raybands.

One day a Pikachu went to the PokeMart to buy rainbow raybands. But instead he
