Chapter 1
After Ash battled through the four regions and became champion in most, he has journeyed too far to quit now. So now Ash is on the way back from the Pokémon league in Sinnoh to Pallet Town in Kanto. He wants to start with only his Pikachu. But before he can think about anything else he needs his tickets and to get on the boat. Ash lay in Pokémon centers bed Ash's hat was off and in his green pajamas and under the green covers. It was eleven on the poke ball clock. The sun shone in his face he woke up looking at the two empty bunk beds beside his own noticing they were empty. Ash's mouth dropped looking at the time he realized he only had two hours until the boat left. He looked in the storage compartment under his bed and found his cloths and hat he quickly changed rushing toward the door he noticed Pikachu was missing. Oh no. Ash thought nervously searching every which way for Pikachu he just couldn't find him. So he rushed for Nurse Joy and asked "Have you seen my Pikachu?" "Oh I'm sorry Ash but I have not." Ash walking depressingly toward the exit thinking of all the fun times he'd had with Pikachu. His head down walking out the automatic doors shutting behind him. He wanted to start over but not in this way. As he walked down the side of the mountain side he heard a boat roar. He had completely forgotten about the boat he would never get the chance to start over if he didn't make the boat! Ash sprinted down the mountain side avoiding the crowd that came up the mountain. He could see the boat but was already getting the anchor up. He rushed as fast as he could to get to the boat. He went to the ticket booth and put a dollar on the stand and said panting "One ticket please." He handed him to Kanto displaying professor Oak's face on it. "You better hurry kid the boats leaving." The sailor said but Ash was darting into the crowd and eventually disappeared out of the sailor's site. He could she two sailors starting to pull up the walk way up to the boat, his only hope was to jump. He made to the edge and leaped. He landed with a thud right on the floor. "Ticket please." They said irritated in unison. Ash handed his ticket to them dazed. "So you're Ash Ketchum." The sailors said. "Yes I am." Ash replied. "Well Dawn and Brock are on board and apparently an old friend of yours." The sailor explained. But when Ash heard the words Dawn and Brock he went off looking for them. Ash looked through the heavily populated and beautifully painted boat. There were many wonders in the boat, the first of them was the Pokémon trading which Ash couldn't participate in because Pikachu was missing. But on the bright side he could see Professor Oak! Ash was relieved to see him. Ash rushed toward him. "Hey Professor Oak how's it going?" Ash asked. "Ah Ash did you worry about Pikachu at all?" Professor Oak asked. Ash got that same depressing look on his face. "Don't worry Ash I have a Pokémon for you and you've got a new request." He Explained. "What type of request?" Ash wondered. "A request to have you as a buddy. He will get his starter tomorrow and you will too! So when we get to Pallet Town you two will start your new adventure!" Professor Oak looked so happy and ash did too. "Well tell him I accept his request." Ash said excited.
