Ever since D/P came out more and more ppl became less of a "just catch 'em all" trainer and now want a pokemon with certain stats, natures and IV's. I understand move sets but doesn't it get tiring to go out and find a Jolly Gible instead of just catching the first gible u see?

I just wanted to know how many ppl battle by the new system and how many still play and battle for the fun of it?

I just catch for the fun of it I really don't care of any of the IVs or whatever, I just trust what I catch.

That's exactly what I do too

Battling by the new system involves more thinking, and is a lot more fun in my opinion. I don't want to battle by just attacking, but by strategy. =|

You can catch anything and have a strategy for it like my Chimchar was timid so it's attack went down so I made it a special atk user instead of restarted for a certain stat

In Diamond, Pearl and Platinum, I do both battling for fun, and IV's and all that. Either way is fun to me.

If I don't EV train a Pokemon I would never use it for competitive, then again I haven't had almost any competitive battles, because my team isn't even complete. I like EVing and stuff, it's not hard. Savage attack battlers will be stopped in competitive. As for ingame, it's whatever EV/IVs and whatever nature.

i just try to catch pokemon with different types i don't don't care of any of the IVs i just catch em' all :) i never catch common pokemon and their evolution line except shinx cuz it's evolution line is cool

I used to do EV training, but my Pokemon still sucked because I could IV breed.

I just gave up on the whole competitive thing because I don't want to slave over my DS for hours just for a few Pokemon.

Now I just catch whatever and run with it.

If my Pokemon is a Sp. Atk monster, then I give it Sp. moves. :) That's how my Infernape got Flamethrower, Fire Blast and Blast Burn. All Sp. Atk moves.

Well when I want to do Wifi battles I EV train but I don't really care much for the IV's. For in-game teams I just train regularly without EV's or IV's.

I just battle for the fun of it, I'm lucky to get the best nature Pokemon for that certain Pokemon that I've just caught. I dont have a whole century to look for that certain nature for that certain POkemon

Gotta catch 'em all only if they're shiny-I don't waste time with synchers or anything like that. IV breeding takes too long.

I IV breed and EV train for the fun of it, it's really nice to see my "perfect" baby and then using it for competitive battling .. It might get annoying or tiring but that's what keeps me entretained :D

I've recently gotton into competitive battling, so I breed them with certain natures and EV train as hard as I can. Only thing that doesn't matter to me is IVs.

I tend to be a "Gotta Catch 'Em All" type trainer. I find it fun looking for all the Pokemon. :3

I just take them as they are. IVs and EVs don't matter and shinies are kind of pointless. I mainly just play through the game anyway and then usually restart or sell the game back.
