The true reality of hipster quote-pictures.

So since yesterday, I've been watching a lot of The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya. My boyfriend suggested I watch it in Kyon (broadcast) order, so I'm going with that, but that makes it really confusing so I'm not sure how I feel about it yet. I love the art at least, though - Haruhi has the most expressive face without being over-exaggerated like chibi or SD characters.

I'm probably going to spend a lot of time watching anime or reading manga for the next month and a half or so, like I usually do to prepare for an anime convention. I'm going to two this year, Anime Expo and Otakon. On opposite sides of the country, but AX also serves as a way to visit my boyfriend who goes with his friends every year, since we live so far away. xD This may be one of the few chances I'll have to do something like that. Otakon is something that's become a tradition for me, and the only thing stopping me at the moment is that I need a job, but I'm getting there.

So, does anyone have any other suggestions for me? I like most genres, and even if it doesn't seem interesting to me at first I'll give it a shot. (: I'm very open minded, I want to hit a lot of genres and types of anime so I'm well prepared.

Puella Magi Madoka Magica is the latest super popular anime to come out as of late. Might be worth checking that one out.

Also, watch Junjou Romantica. Just so you can say you did.

Clannad is a major one, and so is Angel Beats! You should definitely check those two out at least. Rosario + Vampire is pretty good also, imo.

Fairy Taaaaaaiiiiiiiilllllll. And Soul Eater. And what Charizard said regarding Clannad and AB! And Panty and Stocking. And Star Driver. And Zetsubou Sensei.

Also, you're going to Otakon? We should totally meet up :>

I'll start looking into those, probably starting with Soul Eater (definitely wrote Sould Easter at first) because I've gotten multiple suggestions for that in the past. xD Thanks everyone, you're being super helpful :3

@Roswell: I still have to get a job to guarantee I can go :P But maybe!

Also, obligatory MyAnimeList plug. Make a MAL account.

Okay, can't guarantee I'll remember to update it though. xD I literally just looked through some random online list with a couple hundred popular animes on it to see if I could remember what I had seen or read, lol.
