Buy stocks in threads to make (imaginary) money!
Rules:
1. Players start with $100.
2. The price of a thread is equal to (Number of Replies+1)÷(Days Since the Thread was Started). You can use this site to figure out the number of days (don't check the box to include the end date).
3. Any one thread can only have 100 stocks.
4. Any one player can own only 20 stocks in any one thread.
5. You can't buy stock in stickied, locked, or too old to be posted in. Any thread that becomes stickied, locked, or too old to be posted in is worthless, and players with stock in that thread lose their money.
6. When you buy or sell stock, include the thread, number of stocks you are buying/selling, the price, the number of replies, and number of days, as well as your total amount of remaining money. I (and mods if they like) will spot check people's calculations, and obvious cheating will result in forfeiture of all stocks and disqualification from the game for one month.
7. I will add threads, stocks, etc. to the post below this. I'd appreciate the mods' help with keeping it up-to-date. The format will be
Player A: (Amount of money)
Player B: (Amount of money)
(etc.)
THREAD TITLE A (# Stocks available)
Player A (number of stocks Player A has in Thread A)
Player B (etc.)
THREAD TITLE B (etc.)
8. No posting in threads just to artificially inflate their price.
9. Players can only make up to 3 transactions a day. A "transaction" is the purchase or sale of any number of stocks (up to the limit of 20) in one thread.
10. Sales are back to the market (me), not to other members directly. When stocks are sold back, they can then be bought by other members.
11. The creator of a thread cannot buy stock in their own thread the same day they make the thread.
12. All sales final.
13. Players banned for than one week forfeit all their stocks and money.
14. Rules subject to change without notice.
