I have searched various forums, bred many Pokémon, and have done countless trades. By doing this I have been able to obtain and collect rare and exotic Pokémon. Instead of giving these unique Pokémon by normal trades, I have decided to start a tournament for anyone to claim them...
The Pokémon Battle Tournament
Welcome to The Pokémon Battle Tournament. This Tournament is made purely for fun and for those that enjoy the video game for the Nintendo DS, Pokemon Diamond/ Pearl. The tournament will consist of sixteen contestants going through a number of rounds to ultimately become the winner of the entire Tournament. Have fun.
Rules
- You must have either Diamond or Pearl, with WiFi capabilities to enter. Apologies in advance for those of you outside North America & Japan.
- Do not disconnect from a match (That's a forfeit.) If you lose connection, then the match will start again immediately. If lose connection more than 3 times in one match then you are disqualified.
- If you are not in reach for more then two days then you will be disqualified.
- If you are too impatient and try to rush things by making unnecessary posts: Acting Rude towards me and/or the other contestants, Twist the Rules to your liking, Lying to try and take a challenger from another contestant, try and run the Tournament yourself, try to turn this topic into a chaotic flame war, or anything else I find to be inappropriate then you will be banned from the tournament and receive a disqualification, end of story.
- Once you have joined the tournament you may not leave it for anything, however you are allowed to forfeit at any time.
- No Ubers, these Pokemon are banned from the fight:
Mew
Mewtwo

Kyogyre
Dialga
Palkia

Rayquaza

- If you wish to use a Legendary that is not mentioned in the above list you are allowed to do so but you must have only ONE on your team. Non-Uber Legendaries include:

- Hacked Pokemon with illegal moveset, stats, unlimited HP, and/or unlimited PP are banned. An example of illegal hacked Pokemon is a MAGIKARP that knows Roar of Time and has the base Attack stat of 999.
- If any of the rules are broken during the fight, the witness should flee from the battle and report the cheater to me. This will lead to immediate disqualification for the cheater. Following this, future rematches/challenges from the cheater will not be allowed. Also the witness will then win by default. This also applies to any other rules and the rules given for certain rounds. If a Round rule say that you must have three Pokemon on each team and your opponent has six then that must be reported.
- To enter and participate within this tournament please post your Forum Name, (D/P Player) Name, and FC (Friend Code)
- All important notices such as Battle Updates, Match pair-ups, etc will be given by PMs(Private Messages) so be sure to check your PMs.

- The tournament will start as soon as sixteen(16) contestants join.
- The Elite Trainer and the Champion do not count as contestants. Their information will be given to you when you reach their rounds.

Rounds
Preliminary Screening Process
This is the first round of the Tournament. This round will be three-on-three battles, set on SINGLE Level 50, used to reduce the number of contestants. This means that teams are THREE(3) Pokemon each! So, during this round, make sure you pick your best three Pokemon.
Preliminary Stage
This is the second round of the Tournament. This round will consist of Double Battles, set on DOUBLE Level 50, made by teams still made of three Pokemon to further reduce the field of contestants. Teams are still made up of three Pokemon each!
Knockout Stage
This is the third round of the Tournament. This round will consist of full six-on-six battles, set on SINGLE Level.50, made by teams now made by six Pokemon. Contestants will battle each other here until two Trainers are still standing thus making them the winners of this round.
Final Knockout Stage
This is the fourth round of the Tournament. This round will consist of full six-on-six battles, set on SINGLE Level.100, made by teams made by six Pokemon. The last two contestants will battle each other here until one remains.
Elite Melee Stage
This is the fifth round of the Tournament. This round will consist of full six-on-six battles, set on SINGLE Level. 100, by teams made by six Pokemon. The winning contestant of the previous Final Knockout Stage is to battle an Elite Trainer. Winning this fight will allow the contestant to move on to the last and final round.
The Ultimate Decisive Battle- The Fight to the Finish!
This is the sixth and final round of the Tournament. This round will consist of full six-on-six battles, set up by the Champion, by teams made by six Pokemon. The winning contestant of the previous Elite Melee Stage is to battle the Champion. The Champion in this round is allowed to change certain rules to his advantage. Also, though the Champion may be allowed to change certain rules, you are not. The rules still apply to the contestant no matter what. During this round make sure that you will be ready for anything. The last trainer remaining thus wins the Tournament.
Prizes
The Third Prize - Dialga or a Palkia with their respected orbs. This prize is given to the one that was able to win all rounds but was unable to defeat the Elite Trainer.
The Second Prize - Phione. This prize is given to the one that was able to defeat the Elite Trainer but unable to win against the Champion.
The Grand Prize - Mystery Pokémon. What is this Mystery Pokémon? Could it be a common Pokémon found any where or the rare Pokémon of your dreams? This prize is given to the one that was able to defeat the Champion in Battle.
