5th Gen The Pokeshifter

Ok I see some people mentioning it in other threads and from what i saw, the Pokeshifter acts just like the Pal Park. Now a lot of people are going to hate me for this, but doesn't this mean we cannot transfer Pokemon from D/P/Pt/HG/SS until after we get the National Dex?

Pal Park cannot open until we get the National Dex and the Pokeshifter is Gen 5's Pal Park. I know a lot of people prolly planned to transfer over as soon as they got the games, but this may not be possible.

Seeing as Nintendo/Game Freak want to keep the game Gen 5 only until you get the National Dex, I can see them locking the Pokeshifter until you get the National Dex just like the Pal Park, and to keep others from trading from other games, locking out all previous Gens the same way FR/LG locked out Hoen Pokemon.

What do you think?

You can, I think. I got a Ditto when I had my Sinnoh Regional Dex (trade).

Pal Park wasn't available pre National Dex. That's an absolute fact. You would have to had traded a Ditto from another 4th Gen game that already had a Ditto on it since Diamond/Pearl/Platinum/Heart Gold/Soul Siver weren't locked like 3rd Gen's FR/LG.

I didn't Pal Park it. You would have to transfer R/S/E/FR/LG to D/P/Pt/HG/SS to B/W.

@Chub ok, I'm saying to trade from Black and White you need to transfer Pokemon from D/P/Pt/HG/SS which acts like the Pal Park. Pal Park cannot be accessed until after the National Dex.

If the Pokeshifter is like that, then you can't transfer to Black and White until you get the National Dex. They could also be Pokemon Locked. FR/LG couldn't pass Pokemon from Hoen to the other if you didn't have the Ruby and Sapphire plates in the Sevii Islands.

If Game Freak was serious about making the Game Gen 5 only, then you may not be able to do either of these until after you get the National Dex.

I am 100% certain that this is the case. In Ruby and Sapphire you couldn't transfer over that couldn't be found in game until you beat the game, and you couldn't use the Pal Park in Diamond and Pearl either.

I hope that happens. I think that Isshu will have a lot more pokemon than Sinnoh did. Maybe as many as Hoenn or Kanto. So bringing in pokemon from other games shouldn't come till you get the national dex, imo. But of course there will be pokemon from previous games in Isshu too. I can already know Magickarp will be.

Its already been confirmed that there won't be any Pokemon from Generations 1 to 4 in Isshu until you get the National Dex.

Only way outside of this is Dream World which has about as little information on it as the Pokeshifter.

I figured this thread would turn into a discussion for the Pokeshifter, but it doesn't seem to be doing so... if you still want a thread on the Pokeshifter, what you like based on what you know, hate, etc about it, then do so, but this one really has no purpose as it is.
