Has anybody noticed this? I lost the instruction booklet many years ago, but I remember a lot of mistakes in the type matchup chart. The most notable one I remember is that the booklet said that Ghost was super-effective against Psychic Pokémon. In R/B/Y, Psychics are actually immune to Ghosts. (The funny thing is, this was later true in G/S/C and beyond, so maybe it was supposed to be this way from the very beginning? Also, I think someone in the Saffron Gym said that Ghosts were good against Psychics too, and I've also heard this was true in the anime as well.)
There were some other ones too. I remember it saying that Ice was ineffective against Fire (funny thing was, this was ALSO true in G/S/C and beyond), even though it's really neutral. I also remember it saying that Ghost was neutral against Ghost (not true in any game) and they screwed up the Poison vs. Bug matchups too.
The strange thing is, though, that I know someone who got a copy of Blue months I got my copy of Red, and the instruction booklet for Blue was more accurate. Did Blue have a more accurate instruction booklet, or did they fix these mistakes eventually?
Were there any other inaccuracies as well? Like I said, I lost the booklet years ago, so I don't remember all of them...
