    Plot: We have found something...

Scientists from all regions have been working on a project, named Operation Antimatter
Apparently a satellite picked up strange signals, rays that have not been identified...until now. They have been classified as "Rip Rays", strong waves that give off rips in time and space. The satellite picked them up, deep beneath the Earth...

So we dug. We dug for 5 years, and we have found it. A portal to another realm. They thought that warp and teleportation was all fairy tales and make-belief. Oh, how wrong they were. They sent 5 Scientists in to see what was on the other side. On the other side, we waited.

We waited for a long time. We waited and gave up, until one came back. He was completely insane. He had no clothes, no supplies, no Pokemon, just a bag. The bag was filled with delusional drawings of magnificent beasts and deadly creatures. There were 100's of drawings. Most of them were the same thing, so scientists guessed. They guessed that there were 10...things...on the other side. Who knew their guess would be right?

A tournament is to be held. 10 Trainers will face the best that the world has offer. Those 10 trainers will defeat the Elite 4, and they will journey into the portal, each facing one...beast...and hopefully catching it. Many trainers, from all across the world will participate, will you be one of the ten?

Setting: This will take place in Hoenn. You may be from any other region, you just have to put that you come to Hoenn in your History or in the actual RP. HOWEVER, all pokemon will be in this region, so if you like Pidgeas, then you're in luck.

    Name: Arlene Marie Sanders
    Age: 17
    Gender: Female
Appearance: Freak. What a freak! Though it is rumored that Arlene's race are half-human-half-fox hybrids, considering that she is covered in a fine auburn-orange fur complete with a white undercoat painting her belly and breast, most do not consider her even remotely resembling a human being. This is in spite of the fact that she walks on two legs, can speak English and German quite fluently, and has an inlying respect for all life. Long black socks of fur are wrapped across her forearms and shins, as well as her feet and hands; the same shade of jet can be found in a strange etching into the left side of her short muzzle, as well as on an unusual marking on her backside (but nobody ever sees that!)

Honed, tested eyes of the deepest, purest emerald peer out across her muzzle, and from previous experiences, a scar has been slashed across her right eye, though not damaging it. Her soft, fine length of hair that reaches across her back and towards her hips may as well be made of gold as it shimmers in the light, a beautiful natural shade of blonde. She wears black combat boots that have been polished to such a beautiful sheen that they appear to be made of raw ebony; black cargo pants, bunched at the boots, which bear a faint layer of black and gray camouflage; a black tanktop, which does very little to hide her "development" as a young woman; and occasionally, a ponytail to bind her pretty hair.

Personality [Recommended 2 Paragraphs]: Where she fails to gain respect, she has been known to show a significant amount of humility in an attempt to foster friendship. Arlene has always been the kind of person to fight for what she really wants in life, be it friends, love, or Pokemon. Scarcely has there ever been a time when Arlene has not put her self so many levels beneath the other person just to offer her friendship, and in turn been spat in the face for being 'unnatural'.

As she is not human, and yet walks upright and has a strong grasp of technology, human psychology, and of the fine arts, alot of humans find her intimidating to be around - as if she threatens their survival. Due to this, from which many battles have been brewed, she always keeps a knife strapped to her belt for emergency use. This is frowned upon even more by what few human friends she has - but what else can she do?

History: Arlene was born and raised in another land not marked on the map, journeying all the way to Sinnoh by her sixteenth birthday, but Hoenn is a very new place to her. When she was four years old, her parents were murdered, and in reaction she and her uncle - a wolf named Orion - fled their homeland to Kanto, only to be found again by the same guild of assassins that took her parents. Only months prior to these events she and a group of Sinnoh trainers battled what she calls "Armageddon itself", though none have believed her thus far... As a further countermeasure, she never speaks of her recollections of this two-day journey to any but Orion, who seems to be the only voice of reason.

Now, only three days prior to current events, she has fled to Hoenn to avoid capture by this guild. She knows that soon will come the day that she has to face this group of assassins alone, and it troubles her deeply as she ponders a strange past with a strange people. Since she has come of age, her sharp green eyes glow in the moonlight, and her fur grows out a good entire inch, giving her a ragged, shaggy appearance. She seems to gain a certain height in her senses that she never had before, but it's difficult to place for her...

Others [Siblings, likes, etc.]: No siblings. Guitar player & songwriter for a death metal band. Likes the calm few hours before sunrise.

I'll probably be updating this later today if this isn't good enough. I would prefer Piplup, if that's okay.

    Name: Max Tegeku
    Age: 10
    Gender: Male

Appearence: Max is short for his age standing at 4 foot 1 and wighs in at 85 lbs. He has blonde spiky messy hair and a scar that runs down his left arm. He has blue eyes, a noticable car that runs down his eyelide to his eyelide on his right eye. He wears black pants, a red polo shirt, brown running shoes, a necklace with a scale from Kyogre for good luck encased in it, and green fingerless gloves on both hands.

Personality: Max is very anoing. He will aggrivate the crap out of people. He plays pranks on people, plays jokes on them, gets into trouble fo them, loves to climb trees, loves to swim, and rarely bathes. He doesn't like bathing because he doesn't feel like it is a neccessity. He doesn't stink though because he 24 7 wears colone and deodorant. He wears AXE and sometimes he puts to much on and people gag around him.

Max has been shuned out of everything his entire life. He pulls pranks on everyone because he wants to be noticed and it doesn't matter if it is negatively if they notice him. He doesn't have many friends except for his pokemon. He prefers to travel alone because he isn't afraid of most things.

History: Max was born in Pallet Town, Kanto. He grew up as one of Proffessor Oak's understudies. Most kids didn't want to hang around him because they didn't like Oak that much. Max grew up with pokemon until he was about 6. When he turned 6 his parents had a really good friend in the Hoenn region, Mr. Briney. They had become poorer and coudn't afford their house in Kanto.

Mr. Briney had told his parents that their was a house in LittleRoot for dirt cheap. They move there and Max hated it there. He was picked on by kids older then him and shuned out of everything. Then his parents realized this and moved to Sinnoh in Twinleaf Town where Max's adventure will begin...

Other: Max has a father, a mother, two older sisters that are twins, and two older brothers that are twins.

RP Sample: It is from another RP:)

Max was so excited! He had just got his third badge and was shining all of his badges. He was thinking of how to get to Celadon town where he could get his fourth badge. Should I take the ferry that leaves in thirty minutes? If I do, though, I will be really low on money. If I walk there I will have to walk through Saffron City where there are swarms of Team Rocket members, but it will save me a bunch of money. I could fly there with Pidgeotto but it will really wear her down. Max sighed. It was really exciting thinking about getting his fourth badge.

He looked at the clock. 15 minutes until the ferry left. "Guess I'll just walk there. It's more fun that way. Besides maybe I'll be able to show Team Rocket what I'm made of." Max said confidently walking over to the computer that would allow him to call home. He planned on letting Nidorino and Psyduck take a break for a little while and get Pikachu out so he could get some of the action in.

Beep. Beep. Beep. The machine rang as he tried to call Professor Oak. "Hello?" Oak finally answered.

"Hey Professor! Look at my badges. I've got three now!' Max said excitedly holding up his badges case.

"Wow Max! You've got a bunch of badges now." Oak said surprised.

"Yeah well the main reason I called you was that I was wondering if I could give you Nidorino and Psyduck so that they can have a rest." Max said grinning.

"Sure. Which ones do you want in return?" Oak asked him.

"Actually I only want Pikachu." Max said.

"Ok just put you pokeballs in two of the six slots next to the screen." Oak said.

Max looked over and there was a small box that had six pokeball slots. He grabbed Nidorino's and Psyduck's pokeballs and put them inside two slots. While Max was doing this Professor Oak was finding Max's Pikachu's pokeball and put it inside one of the slots too.

"Now press the green button." Oak said pressing the green button on his box thing.

Max pressed it and the two pokeballs vanished and one appeared. He grabbed it and threw it into the air. A white light flashed and a yellow mouse like pokemon with red cheeks, two long yellow ears, and a long yellow tail popped out of the ball.

"Pika Pikachu!" It said jumping into Max's arms.

"Ahaha." Max laughed. He was happy to see Pikachu again.

"Ok. Well I guess I will talk to you later." Oak said hanging up.

Max hung up and then called his other pokemon out. He looked at the time and the ferry had already left. He smirked and then they went outside.

"I guess we should start leaving. Huh?" Max asked his pokemon.

"Pidgeotto! Oh ya! I can't wait to meet other pokemon!" his Pidgeotto said.

"Pika Pikachu. Yeah let's show that Gym leader and Team Rocket who's boss!" His Pikachu said.

"Saur! Well don't just stand there let's hurry up and go!" His Ivysaur said.

"Ok then let's go!" Max said.

Name: Sparky Black (Real Name: Lex Maria Black)
    Age: 12
    Gender: Female

Appearance: Sparky is a tall, slender girl with straight chestnut brown hair and sideswept bangs, pale, unblemished skin, and a mostly, but not completely symmetrical face. Her hair reaches to five inches past her shoulders and she wears it in two braids over her shoulder, and her eyes are brown, like her hair, and quite unremarkable. She wears a black and white striped polo shirt, a black belt that she wears loose, and white, black, and dark gray plaid shorts. She also wears white running shoes, and red ruby pendant around her neck.

Personality: Sparky is an overall easy person to get along with, she hardly ever says anything mean to anyone, mostly because she doesn't feel they deserve the mean words, although occasionally she does meet someone she just hates before she even talks to them, and usually the feeling is mutual. She has a way of conveying her anger, disappointment, whatever emotion she's feeling to someone through a look or glare, she doesn't know how she does it, but she can put any emotion or message into a look. Just because Sparky usually puts up with any insults doesn't mean she never gets angry, she just has a really slow burning rope, and if you're the one who reaches the end of it, prepare for a sharp retort and seven years of the silent treatment, which Sparky is an expert at. She also is a black belt in karate, so she can knock some people out with one blow, though she really doesn't want for any disagreement or something to ever come to that.

History: When Sparky was born, her father had already left home. He had left saying that he didn't want to stay at home and care for the baby, though her mother didn't agree, and so he left in the middle of the night, without telling anyone, without leaving a note or letter or any sign of farewell. Sparky's mother was grief stricken, but chose to keep it a secret, and reveal it later, when Sparky was old enough to 'understand.' Instead, she told Sparky that her father never lost his dream of being a pokemon master, and that was why he had left home, and that he might be back someday to stay. Sparky believed her, because she felt that her mother ought to have been one of the people who knew her father best. She was enrolled in karate at the age of two, as an outlet for her restless energy, even to this day Sparky can not stand or sit still, and seemed to have talent in the art. She progressed quickly, becoming a black belt before the rest of her class that she had started with had, and when she was twelve, about to start her pokemon journey, finally she learned about her father. It hit her harder than her mother would have expected, and put her down for quite a bit, but finally got over it and decided her father was a loser. She won't have anyone mention his name around her, unless they're looking for a real nice black eye.

    Others: H
er cyndaquil will refuse to stay in its pokeball unless its extremely injured or tired.

Arwen removed her beret and ran her hand through her short, platinum blond hair, she had always wondered why it had grown out platinum blond, but hair color wasn't something she wasted a lot of thought on.

"Sableye! Sab-sableye!" Sableye suddenly cried out excitedly, and Arwen jumped, putting the beret back on her hair and squinting into the cave, though her eyes had adjusted to the darkness. Sableye's eyes glowed brightly. cutting through the darkness, and Arwen saw what he was so excited about. He had found a piece of what looked like quartz, though it more closely resembled dirty ice. Arwen smiled, knowing Sableye liked to eat gemstones, just then, Sableye lifted the gemstone up to its mouth and bit into it, it cracked as a piece broke off, and Sableye crunched it between its teeth, breaking it into finer chunks before swallowing.

"I think I hear voices, oh no, not more Rocket Members, maybe they're just echoes." Arwen muttered, and received no reply save for the crunching sounds that issued from Sableye's direction, with a final swallow and a satisfied smile, Sableye suddenly turned and began leading the way again, pausing to scare a geodude.

"Sableye, that wasn't very nice, remember, this is their home, I'm sure they're just being protective of it." Sableye lowered its head, taking in the words, and then lifted it again and began walking forward, its diminuitive body difficult to follow through the darkness of the cave. "Do you think there could possibly be other trainers here? That would be cool, wouldn't it? I wonder who Team Rocket is, they sound like a team, obviously, but what else? And why did they want you, Sableye?" Arwen asked out loud, not being much of a talker, she normally would have said every word of this in her head, but walking through a dark and unfamiliar cave made her slightly nervous, and she found herself talking to herself just to reassure herself a bit.

"Sableye!" Sableye whimpered, any previous trace of confidence gone, it was a graveler, bigger than Sableye, and as Arwen watched Sableye backed away from the intimidating pokemon.

"Don't worry Sableye, just stop moving and the graveler will know we're not a threat, okay?" Sableye, following Arwen's directions, froze mid step...and fell. Hitting the ground with a thud, it got up and scampered over to Arwen, who picked Sableye up and set it on her head, then stared at the graveler, holding its gaze, or doing it as best as she could without being able to see the graveler. Finally, the graveler decided there was nothing unusual about a trainer passing through on their way to Violet City, and moved on, stomping away into the darkness. "Isn't this weird, we're navigating this tunnel with no light source, of course, we've got you, Sableye." Arwen said, to take Sableye's mind off of the graveler, and felt Sableye shift on top of her beret.

"Sableye?" Sableye murmured, climbing down onto her shoulder, then, deciding it wasn't as comfortable, climbed back onto Arwen's head. They continued walking, Sableye giving the directions, until finally, Arwen became slightly frustrated with trying to interpret Sableye's directions without being able to see her pokemon.

"Oh, forget this," she muttered, and swung her backpack around. She rummaged through it for a few moments, all the while muttering incomprehensibly to herself, and came up with a flashlight. Then she zipped her bag and flicked the switch on the flashlight, flooding the ground in front of them with a bright beam of light. "I hope I don't frighten any pokemon with this flashlight, otherwise, I'll just put it away." Just then, Sableye gave another cry of excitement and darted off her head, jumping to the ground, and scampering over to a pile of loose rocks to come up with...another piece of quartz. Arwen smiled, restraining herself from rolling her eyes, for she knew how much Sableye adored quartz crystals, and watched as Sableye proceeded to eat it the same way it had eaten the other one. Then, when it finished, it wiped a few last fragments off of its face and ran back to Arwen, who place it on her head and continued on into the tunnel.

    RP Sign Up Sheet
Name: Mira Joseph (her friends call her M or "em")
    Age: 17
    Gender: female
    Appearance:
When it comes to clothes, Mira will wear whatever is clean in her closet that morning. This usually includes a tight fitting pair of jeans, a tank-top, a black zip-up sweatshirt, and her favorite black knee high boots (on her good days). Thank goodness they're flats. She's only five foot two but she'll put up a fight if the situation calls for it. She's slightly muscular in both her arms and her legs; if there's anything she keeps up it's physical health.
Her golden locks are always up in a ponytail and her bangs are swept to one side of her face. Behind a layer or two of black eye liner, her wide grey eyes are observant and focused. They are like storm clouds that never rain. Her facial features are somewhat pointed giving her an elvish look about her. Her thin lips, which tease into a smile only on those infamous good days, are known to opening and spewing the snidest of remarks.

    Personality [Recommended 2 Paragraphs]:
Mira has grown into the kind of person that has a hard time trusting anyone, mostly because of her home life. She is all about instinct and rarely lets anyone see who she really is. Mira is beautiful and holds herself well, but she doesn't necessarily think she's better than anyone else.
She doesn't think before she speaks. Which leads to regretful words and misunderstandings, but she's used to it by now. A lot of people would tell you that Mira is like a dripping faucet; you just gotta get used to her and then it's barely noticeable. She's also impatient and would rather do things quickly, even if it means doing it wrong.
Despite all of this, Mira has a good heart and is all about helping people, as long as her 'tough as nails' reputation isn't harmed.

    History:
Mira's parents have been fighting since before she could remember. They yell morning, noon, and night. She hates being at home because of this. If she so much as looks at her father wrong, he explodes at her. She wishes her and her mother could just leave Lavender Town but her father is just too dangerous to aggravate. He's set on having her run the family business when he retires, but restaurant work just isn't for her.
She was born and raised in Lavender and only her friends (whose houses she escapes to) really believe she can do something better with her life than run a dumb restaurant.
Pokemon has always been an interest of hers but, like most things, her father simply refuses that she become a trainer because it will distract her from the restaurant.
One day her parents become too much and she leaves without a note or a goodbye, her anger blinding.

    Others [Siblings, likes, etc.]:
She skips her shifts at the "family business" to go to a kick boxing class; she's never really had the patience for anger management.
She's always wanted to travel and is hoping that finally she'll get the chance to see the world.
She hates all that is girly.
Mira has read every book at her local library but will never admit it.
She's pretty much addicted to tea.

    RP sample:

    They were fighting again.
The voices were muffled behind the closed door. Her parents always had the decency to close the door. Mira rolled her eyes; they were pathetic. It made her want to punch a hole through the wall the way her parents treated her like a kid. She wasn't dumb, she knew they were fighting.
She heard glass break. Now we're down to three plates, she sighed and put a pillow over her head. The metal bed frame was about to fall apart but she didn't care as she rolled back and forth, trying to drown out the sounds of her parents. She removed the pillow, looking determined and glaring at the ceiling as though it were taunting her.
Mira sat up suddenly, her blonde hair down to her shoulders instead of up for once, and threw her pillow at the wall. Quickly, she began packing her things into a small duffel that she found under her bed. The teenager didn't own much so the packing process was a lot easier than she thought.
She put her hair up so fast a stranger would have done a double take. A small stash of money was quickly shoved into her back pocket.
Upon opening her window a cool breeze ran over her face and she was glad that her mother had managed to buy her coat. Even if it was just a zip up sweatshirt. She put one leg outside and was out of the house without a second thought. She couldn't take this anymore, it was driving her crazy. She had to leave.
Reaching the limits of Lavender Town, her grey eyes glanced back at the small house that was no longer hers. She'd never called it home and would not miss it, but Mira promised herself that if she ever got enough money she'd make sure her mom was as far away from her father as possible.
Her mother was strong, but this could not continue. Her foots steps were sure and solid as she turned her back on everything she knew.

Name: Kenneth Henry (goes by Kenny most of the time.)
    Age: 13
    Gender: Male
    Appearance:
Kenneth is about 4'11 and he has dark skin. His hair is black and spiky but most of the time it covered up by a green bandana. He wears a silver necklace with a pendent of his family in it all the time. He has a pair of goggles on his forehead that are grey with yellow lens and a black band that keeps it on his head. He is always wearing his black back pack that has a green sewn in Snorlax footprint in the middle of the bag.

    Personality:
Kenneth is a shy person but at the same time very kind. He is the type of person that doesn't like to open up to others and stays secluded in his bubble. He never speaks and never asks for help because he doesn't feel confident about himself and thinks getting help is a sign of weakness. He will only work with others if he has to and even then he only focuses on the job at hand and finishes it as quickly as possible so he can go back to being by himself.

Kenneth is always contemplating whether he should change but so far he has gotten no where. He doesn't have friends and he doesn't go around messing with others. He is very courteous to others because he knows it will pay off in the long run and he will help people out as long as it does not require him to talk. Now he wants to change but doesn't know how exactly to start his new ways so he decided to go on adventures to change his ways.

    History:
Kenneth was in a family of 5 and he happened to be the middle of children. The things that the other two did to always outshine Kenneth's accomplishments and when he did do something that the other two failed at he seemed to not get the same recognition that they would have got. Kenneth always felt left out and thought that he could never be as good as the other two in the family.

When Kenneth turned 12 he wanted to become a pokemon trainer and try to be the best he could be. His parents would often find Kenneth looking in books about tactics and strategies of pokemon battles. Kenneth would leave the house reading books on pokemon and he went to the lab to help with the pokemon sometimes. Kenneth would sometimes ask his parents if he could go to Rustboro city and sit in the pokemon school classes. They would tell him to take a bus or to see if one of his friends would take him because they were always seemed to be too busy to help him. Kenneth found ways to get the knowledge of pokemon.

One year later Kenneth was able to go out and become a trainer. Kenneth was smiling from ear to ear and he began packing. Kenneth was determined to prove to his family that he was nothing to be looked down upon. Kenneth began leaving the house His mom pulled out a phone and a necklace with a pendent that had a picture of his family on it. Kenneth saw that with this gift that his parents was behind him all the way.

Others : He has an older sister that had went off to become a professor in the Kanto region. While his younger brother is still to young to leave home but he visits the lab from time to time to play with the pokemon.

    RP Sample is a must
Sorry that is has nothing to do with this RP.

"What?" Kenneth said groggy and confused. "Why am I here I was…." Kenneth became silent trying to remember where he was last. "Hmm strange can't remember a thing."

Kenneth started walking off the beach trying to think of what happened. Kenneth ran into a small green and yellow stomach pokemon.

"Hey watch where you are walking Turtwig." it yelled. Kenneth stopped and turned around. He saw a caterpillar staring back at him.

"Wha- what did you call me?" Kenneth asked confused.

"Turtwig, I called you turtwig because you are one." the bug said.

" No I am not. I am human." Kenneth replied

"Hahaha" the bug laughed. "Look I call you like I see you and you are a turtwig." Kenneth ran over to the sea and looked at his face. He saw a green turtle like face with a yellow under jaw and a brown stick with two green leaves coming out of it off the top of his head.

" Ahh! I am a turtwig." Kenneth yelled as he ran off.

Kenneth continued to run away from the truth. "It cant be. I cant be a pokemon I just cant." Kenneth said quietly to himself. He started to slow down to a walk as he entered a town. He looked up and saw many pokemon gathered buy and selling and even just having conversations. Kenneth walked into the mess of pokemon amazed that pokemon could have such a civilized world. Kenneth heard a voice from behind and turned to see who it was.

"HEY!" the pokemon yelled. " Hold up I have to tell you something."

Kenneth stopped and wait for the caterpillar to catch up.

"Glad I caught you. I just remembered that there are some pokemon in the guild that are similar to you." It said with a smile.

"Thank you little man." Kenneth said with a cheerful face walking to the other side of town.

"My name is Caterpie mister!" Caterpie said with an angry look.

I would like Bulbasaur if it hasn't been taken yet.

Allison let out a long, low sigh as she made her first step into Littleroot Town of the Hoenn Region. The sun was warm on her brown clothed shoulders and a slight breeze rustled the leaves in the trees.

"Here I am," she muttered aloud, defiantly squaring her slender shoulders and raising her elegant chin. She had travelled by train and ferry to reach this quiet, quaint town and was not impressed. The houses were too small, too cosy, like cottages straight out of a fairy tale. Already Allison missed the city, Saffron City. She longed for the buzz, the lights, the noise. It was all too quiet here; she could actually hear her own thoughts.

She reached for the envelope, which was tucked away safely in her brown leather satchel bag. The letter had came to her whilst she was still at home, and even though Professor Oak's lab in Pallet Town was geographically closer to her home, it was too close to her family in Saffron City, and the whole desire of a Pokemon journey was to get as far away from her family as possible.

Allison read over the letter again, gently thumbing the edges, feeling a slight unease when reading the words "You MAY NOT decline this offer".
"Or what?" she had thought upon first reading it. Allison had never handled authority well, her teachers knew that, and preferred to suggest things to her rather than demand. She was a good student, if left to her own devices, and rarely needed guidance.
The letter had intrigued her, however, it was mysterious and promised adventure. She wanted adventure, she wanted freedom and independence.

Professor Oak had recommended Professor Birch of Littleroot Town, when they exchanged emails several weeks before. Allison was intrigued by the Hoenn region; she had grown up in both the Jhoto and Kanto region, and her family frequented Snowpoint City in the Sinnoh region, for their family vacation. She had never been to anywhere in the Hoenn region before, and was surprisingly excited to begin her Pokemon journey. This was new to Allison; few things excited her.

She navigated her way through the small town easily and found the largest building, which was Professor Birch's lab in a matter of minutes. Allison approached the lab and felt her heart start to hammer in her chest out of anxiety and excitement, and then felt her heart uncharacteristically sink when she noticed a note pinned to the door, advising her, and everyone else, that Professor Birch was out conducting research on Route 101.

Slightly annoyed, Allison again squared her shoulders and strode purposefully out of Littleroot Town, and onto the trail of Route 101. It was very calm, mostly because it was still early morning and hardly anyone was awake. Around her she heard the noises of Pokemon, unfamiliar noises to Allison.

And then, tearing through the calm of the morning she heard a shout of help from further up the trail, Allison increased her pace, breaking into a run when the shouts became more urgent.

Allison wheeled around the corner to see a man, with a beard, cornered by a small, dark grey doglike Pokemon. The Pokemon was growling, teeth bared and lunging forward, trying to bite the man with a bead. For a split second Allison froze, this was the first time she had every encountered a wild, aggressive Pokemon like this, not to mention she was in an unfamiliar place and had no way of defending herself or this strange man. Her first instinct was to turn on her hiking boot-ed heel and run as fast as her thin legs would take her.

But she swallowed her fear and stood tall, looking for a rock or something to throw at the attacking Pokemon, preferably before he turned on her. The man's bag was abandoned on the dewy grass, with several Pokeballs surrounding it, obviously belonging to the man with a beard.
"I'm just going to use one of these to help" Allison shouted to the stranger, and without waiting for a response she seized the closest Pokeball and threw it, imitating the trainers she had seen at school or on television.

A red light beamed from the Pokeball and formed the shape of a small Pokemon, slowly it materialized and formed the shape of an orange Pokemon, with a reptile-like head and a tale with a weak flame flickering from the end
"Char!" The strange Pokemon cried and tilted its head in confusion.
"Don't just stand there! Do something! That's your trainer that's about to be mauled by some wild Pokemon" Allison shouted, her heart pounding.
The orange Pokemon nodded and turned to the grey doglike Pokemon and charged at it, using its claws to scratch the wild Pokemon across the face.
"Good work!" Allison called, becoming more and more confident as the man's Pokemon continued to scratch the wild Pokemon, weakening it.
The grey doglike Pokemon slammed it's body repeatedly against the orange Pokemon, pushing it off its feet.
"C'mon! Get up! You can do this!" Allison encouraged, and the Pokemon looked at her, let out a low cry and attacked once again.
One well aimed scratch connected with the grey Pokemon's eye and with a violent howl it tore away from the grass and into the trees.

The small orange Pokemon meandered over to Allison, seeking approval. Allison smiled at it, and went to touch it, but hesitated.
One, she did not know this Pokemon and Two, it did not belong to her.
"Uh, nice work," she praised and then turned to the man with the beard.

"Wow. That was impressive!" he cried, and held out a hand which Allison shook awkwardly "I'm Professor Birch, of Littleroot Town" he introduced himself, with a massive smile on his bearded face.
"I'm Allison Beeman, of Saffron City and I have been looking for you all morning," Allison explained, feeling relieved that she had found the man she was looking for.
"Ah, Allison. Nice to meet you. And what can I do for you?" Professor Birch asked, as he pet the orange Pokemon affectionately.
"I recieved this, and Professor Oak recommended that I come see you" she told the Professor as she handed him the letter.
