So I was looking up some of my favorite bands to see what they were up to lately, and I came across one, "The Dear Hunter" and their latest album. It's been around for some time now, but what I didn't know was that they had sent out a "postcard" to some of their members of a lifetime pass. This postcard was seemingly written by a character in their story (told throughout their albums), but the most noteworthy thing about it was the grooves on the back, which allowed the thing to be played on a record player! How cool is it that this could be achieved after decades of advancement?! I mean, I remember Stephen Colbert saying something along the lines of how some cereal boxes did the same thing during the Jackson Five's reign of fame, but still! I'm currently developing a video game, and I would love to make something like this as a viral marketing technique or meta easter egg! Thoughts?
And quick question.......... How do you make these things? XD;
