The reference library

According to this thread -->https://www.pokecommunity.com/threads/30950/ the library isn't on, because of the lack of another vBulletin license.

Now, I've wondered: Why do we need a vBulletin for it?
It just would require another license for "nothing" (yes, I know, the old threads and posts aren't nothing, since they'll bring up a lot of memories, don't take this too serious).
vBulletin is used, because of its features, that's also why it is so expensive.
Why would we need that many features in the reference library?
It's just to read.

Ok, here comes my sggestion: Why don't we just convert the data of the library to a free forum software?
SMF probably?
I've seen a lot of forums which had vBulletin before and converted to SMF very quickly, so I think it shouldn't be that hard to do that.

So what do you think about my idea?
Or is it just a stupid idea in your opinion?

That...is actually a good idea. o_o Let's wait for Steve's reaction, since he'd be the one to actually do the conversion, I think.

It'd be nice to see the old PC again, that's for sure. :o
