I know that this thread will cause some arguments. I know that arguements will start on other treads where people have an excuse to talk on this subject. That would be why I am addressing this issue right now.
The only pokemon I don't like are those that get sooooo much attention that they distract from others. I'm saying this so that you know that I am in full support and defense of any pokemon that may be offended here.
Now, on to the point. When looking over the full Isshu pokedex, I noticed that there were quite a few pokemon based on inanimate objects. My first thought was that they were all awesom and just as cool as any other pokemon; I didn't single them out at all. My next thought was about how other fans would react.
Chingling, bronzong, even voltorb and magnemite have gotten loads of crap for being based on inanimate objects. People online make fun of the fact that it would be extremely stupid for pokemon to be based after tables and chairs. What I'm trying to do with this thread is peacefully convince as many people as possible that the inanimate object pokemon are just as cool, just as tough and just as awesom as the animal based pokemon. I don't think the whole inanimate object issue is going to be a problem for the popularity kings like desukan, but people have been throwing a ton of crap at our friendly neighborhood ice cream evolutionary line. What is wrong with them? Take off your nostalgia goggles, clear your mind, and take another look at the garbage bag (btw, that one is ADORABLE), the ice cream cones, the gears, the grass mace, and the other inanimate objects of Isshu, or any of the regions for that matter. They. Are. Not. Bad. The more people rant about pokemon, the more other people start thinking badly about that pokemon, and the less it is liked. All I ask is that some people will be able to see good things about these potentially hated pokemon and that their praise, like the hatred of others, will become contagious and make the pokemon world a nicer place.
And if you don't my sweet and frozen friends will eat your soul. >:D JK
