    Hey everyone.
Well, I have decided to get a team together since I am going to be battling online soon, once I move out of my University accommodation and into my flat with actual wireless >.>
I have been having a think as to what I would like in my team, and I am open to suggestions. [Duhhhh].

[PokeCommunity.com] The Show Must Go On [OU]

    Lead – Metagross @ Leftovers/Occa Berry
    Ability: Clear Body
    EV's: 252 HP/236 Attack/12 Defense/8 Speed
    Nature: Adamant [+ Attack/ - Special Attack]
    ~ Stealth Rock
    ~ Bullet Punch
    ~ Explosion
    ~ Earthquake/ Meteor Mash

    Standard Leadgross I think.
The reason for the EV spread is to add a little more resistance to his usual counters. I am not sure about the Occa berry though. It is useful for heatran, but leftovers seems the better all-rounder.
As for the Earthquake or Meteor Mash, I am not sure again. Earthquake for better coverage or MM for good old STAB. Maybe MM, as two other pokemon in my team have Earthquake?

[PokeCommunity.com] The Show Must Go On [OU]

Offensive – Gyarados @ Life Orb
    Ability: Intimidate
    EV's: 4 HP/252 Attack/252 Speed
    Nature: Adamant [+ Attack/ - Special Attack]
    ~Dragon Dance
    ~Waterfall
    ~Earthquake
    ~Ice Fang/Stone Edge

Pretty standard offensive Gyarados. Only thing I need help with, unless I have missed something, is the moveset. I am throwing up the two moves Ice Fang and Stone Edge. I honestly have no idea which to pick! XD

[PokeCommunity.com] The Show Must Go On [OU]

    Revenge Special – Porygon – Z @ Choice Scarf
    Ability: Download
    EV's: 4 Defence/252 Special Attack/252 Speed
    Nature: Modest [+ Special Attack/ - Attack]
    ~Tri Attack
    ~Thunderbolt
    ~Ice Beam
    ~Hidden Power [Fighting]

My special revenge, I have loved Porygon since its first little boxy stage! I have wanted to use him for a while and so I have decided on this set.
I wasn't sure on the Ability, Adaptability would kick up Tri Attacks base power, but I decided on Download.
I was stumped when it came to the last move; I have no idea what to choose O_o. A part of me thinks Hidden Power Fighting?

[PokeCommunity.com] The Show Must Go On [OU]

MixMence – Salamance @ Life Orb
    Ability: Intimidate
    EV's: 84 Attack/216 Special Attack/208 Speed
    Nature: Mild [+ Special Attack/ - Defense]
    ~Draco Metoer
    ~ Earthquake
    ~Fireblast
    ~Outrage

New MixMence. Not much I can really say on this bad boy.

[PokeCommunity.com] The Show Must Go On [OU]

Offensive - Rhyperior @ Choice Scarf or Choice Band?
    Ability: Solid Rock
    EV's: 4 Special Defense/252 Attack/252 Speed
    Nature: Adamant [+Attack/-Special Attack]
    ~ Earthquake
    ~ Stone Edge
    ~ Aqua Tail
    ~ Megahorn

This is a new one to try and combat my electricity weakness. I am unsure if I should run the Scarf to increase the speed so he can sweep better, or to have the band so he can hit things harder.

[PokeCommunity.com] The Show Must Go On [OU]

Jolteon @ Choice Specs / Life Orb
    Trait: Volt Absorb
    EVs: 4 HP / 252 Spd / 252 SAtk
    Nature: Timid [+Speed/-Attack]
    ~Thunderbolt
    ~Hidden Power [Grass]
    ~Shadow Ball
    ~Baton Pass

Another pokemon to counter the Electric problem. Standard set put forward by Anti. Thank you =]

    SIDE TEAM

These two are just because I like them XD

[PokeCommunity.com] The Show Must Go On [OU]

Batton Passer – Vaporeon @ Leftovers
    Ability: Water Absorb
    EV's: 188 HP/ 252 Defense/68 Speed
    Nature: Bold [+ Defense/ - Attack]
    ~Wish
    ~Protect
    ~Surf
    ~Ice Beam

[PokeCommunity.com] The Show Must Go On [OU]

    Support – Cresselia @ Leftovers
    Ability: Levitate
    EV's: 4 Special Attack/252 HP/ 252 Defense
    Nature: Bold [+ Defense/ - Attack]
    ~Reflect
    ~Moonlight
    ~Ice Beam
    ~Thunder Wave

    I suck at rating.. but:

I prefer Stone Edge over Ice Fang on Dos, I think it aids a sweep more IMO.

Go HP Fighting for the last slot on Porygon Z..But if that's too hard, Dark pulse is always fine.

Classic MixMence >>> New MixMence IMO.

    Sorry for the poor rate.

Not at all, thanks for taking time out to have a look.

I though as much with P-Z. I am going to have a go at it and see if I can get HP Fighting, if not, Dark Pulse as you said.

I like the new MixMence :P

Earthquake is better to hit more common leads on Metagross, like Infernape, Tran and Jirachi. But Idk, Meteor Mash has STAB and can be useful if he has the chance to do more damage late-game. It depends on what you want him it do.

I think you're better off with standard wish support on Vappy instead of a Baton Pass set. I don't know who really benefits from getting passed a sub or acid armor, not to mention Wish passing will cushion the blow on your switch ins anyway and should be your main priority to get Gyra and Mence in safely. That's just me though, maybe I'm just not seeing something. If it's working, then go for it I suppose.

    Just a few thoughts.

    Hummmm...

I have a standard Wishon on my game already.

    Moveset is as normal
    ~Protect
    ~Wish
    ~Surf
    ~Ice beam

I will try both out and see how they go.
    Thanks for the input!

As for Gross, I am not sure still. I think I might go for Earthquake for more coverage!

i use nasty plot for porygon-z to boost his special attack and then adaptability boosted tri-attack to sweep

PZ's would survive an attack as its defenses are rubbish. So getting a boost from nasty wouldn't be easy :/

It's actually very easy since you can bring it in on a weak physical wall, but it is easily outsped and picked off. Either way I agree that you shouldn't use it, but just saying.

Anyway, the problem with this team is that nothing really works with each other well. You have all kinds of trouble with Waters, and the same things can stop Gyarados and Salamence. It's a weird sort of balanced team...I really wouldn't mix things like BP Vaporeon and Cresselia with offensive variants of Gyarados and Salamence. They just don't work together well. 2/3 walls + 2/3 sweepers + anything extra typed balanced teams do not work anymore; if you want to use a balanced team, a bulky offensive team or a defensive but offensively capable team could work. There's not a lot you can do with balanced.

Hum..... I thought that, but I wanted to see what people thought!
What would you think could help? ^^

Well, I would first replace Vaporeon. It doesn't fit in, and it's rather easy to stop anyway. I would also replace Cresselia with a more offensively capable Pokemon. You already have a good lead and some good sweepers, so putting in sweepers that deal with the others sweepers' counters makes a very effective strategy. For example, Jolteon deals with bulky Waters that counter Gyarados while Gyarados threatens Blissey and Ground-types. Be sure you have most resistances covered (especially electric, or Jolteon becomes a major pain).

Heh, Jolteon was just an example, but if you want to use it:

Jolteon @ Choice Specs / Life Orb
    Trait: Volt Absorb
    EVs: 4 HP / 252 Spd / 252 SAtk
    Timid Nature (+Spd, -Atk)
    - Thunderbolt
    - Hidden Power [Grass]
    - Shadow Ball
    - Baton Pass / Charge Beam

Last move depends on the item, though BP is usable with both.

firstly, i just wanted to say i love that Kurotsuchi avatar haha.

i'd go adaptability on porygon regardless. it still pegs scizor pretty hard. if you want hp fight, it does give you a better way to handle ttar and rare SD weavile.

yeah, forgot about bping on vaporeon. go with the annoying protect/wish set like everyone else... *shakes fist*

i absolutely hate the misuse of cresselia. there are a lot of viable options for cresselia that very few use. there's restalk+psycho shift combo, semi-offensive sunny day/solarbeam/hp fire/(psychic/twave/moonlight) sets to raep vappy/ttar/scizor/pert/hippow coupling well with scarftran and regular reflect sets that don't have moonlight (and have something more productive, like, i dunno, hp fight?).

    Thanks Anti.
That's really useful to know ^.^

Samson - I thought as much with HP Fight on P-Z. I will just have to work for that one! Haha.
That was a random Cres set that I pulled out of the hat really :/
I like the pokemon, so I wanted to try and include it some how.

    So, a offensive set then?

Cresselia doesn't really work attacking imo. It's just too weak. However, I agree with Samson that Moonlight sucks. Cresselia doesn't actually do much, so it's best used to just mess up as much as it can with paralysis and Reflect and anything else. I would just replace it...

A better bulky sweeper is offensive Suicune:

    Suicune @ Leftovers
    Trait: Pressure
    EVs: 172 HP / 216 Spd / 120 SAtk
    Timid Nature (+Spd, -Atk)
    - Calm Mind
    - Surf / Hydro Pump
    - Ice Beam
    - Hidden Power [Electric]

That's D_A's set-up. you can also run 4 HP / 252 Spd / 252 SAtk @ Life Orb for more power and a little more Speed.

    That's an interesting set!
I might go with the speed like you said!

    Thanks for the help :D

I have been a bit busy so I have only been able to take the above comments on board but not actually put them to any use. However, I shall soon :D

I see an enormous weakness to elettric, I recommend you to increase the Special Defense of Cresselia, then I recommend you HP Fight on Porygon-Z and on Gyarados you put Stone Edge on Ice Fang.

I am most likely going to add in Jolteon to my team. Which gets rid of that weakness.
Cresselia is most likely going to go to.

    Thanks though ^.^

[PokeCommunity.com] The Show Must Go On [OU]

    Lead – Metagross @ Leftovers/Occa Berry
    Ability: Clear Body
    EV's: 252 HP/236 Attack/12 Defense/8 Speed
    Nature: Adamant [+ Attack/ - Special Attack]
    ~ Stealth Rock
    ~ Bullet Punch
    ~ Explosion
    ~ Earthquake/ Meteor Mash

go with the leftovers as the hold item so then you'll get the hp boost since there's no hp recovery move that metagross can learn. the nature and evs are nice, stick with them. also, keep the steath rock and use meteor mash to earthquake as you'll get the stab. I would take out bullet punch for agility as you would get a better speed boost on your attacks.

[PokeCommunity.com] The Show Must Go On [OU]

Batton Passer – Vaporeon @ Leftovers
    Ability: Water Absorb
    EV's: 128 HP/ 252 Defense/128 Speed
    Nature: Bold [+ Defense/ - Attack]
    ~Batton Pass
    ~Wish
    ~ Surf
    ~Substitute/Acid Armor

looks like a great set here. not sure which one to choose out of sub or acid armour though, it's not really an easy choice for me as both would make it more defnsive.

[PokeCommunity.com] The Show Must Go On [OU]

Offensive – Gyarados @ Life Orb
    Ability: Intimidate
    EV's: 4 HP/252 Attack/252 Speed
    Nature: Adamant [+ Attack/ - Special Attack]
    ~Dragon Dance
    ~Waterfall
    ~Earthquake
    ~Ice Fang/Stone Edge

ahh, the ddgyarados set. item, good. ability, good. evs and nature, good. moves, they need a bit of help. obviously, stick with the dragon dance as it is very helpful in battle, and without it then it would obviously not be ddgyarados, it would just be a gyarados. waterfall is good, keep it. however, use both ice fang and stone edge to earthquake. they will both provide more use in the battle, trust me. stone edge is a strong move that provides more damage than earthquake, and ice fang will handle grass types aswell as having more pp.

[PokeCommunity.com] The Show Must Go On [OU]

    Revenge Special – Porygon – Z @ Choice Scarf
    Ability: Download
    EV's: 4 Defence/252 Special Attack/252 Speed
    Nature: Modest [+ Special Attack/ - Attack]
    ~ Tri Attack
    ~Thunderbolt
    ~Ice Beam
    ~ ?????????

adaptability > download. then you'll get an extra stab boost for tri attack, and any other normal typed moves for the annoying blissey. the three attacks you have there are good so far, I'd suggest recover but since it's a choice set, there's no point. perhaps return, because it's a stab move and can do quite a lot of damage.

[PokeCommunity.com] The Show Must Go On [OU]

    Support – Cresselia @ Leftovers
    Ability: Levitate
    EV's: 4 Special Attack/252 HP/ 252 Defense
    Nature: Bold [+ Defense/ - Attack]
    ~Reflect
    ~Moonlight
    ~Ice Beam
    ~Thunder Wave

I like this one, since it's a support it really just provides everything that is needed, so keep it this way.

[PokeCommunity.com] The Show Must Go On [OU]

MixMence – Salamance @ Life Orb
    Ability: Intimidate
    EV's: 84 Attack/216 Special Attack/208 Speed
    Nature: Mild [+ Special Attack/ - Defense]
    ~Draco Metoer
    ~ Earthquake
    ~Fireblast
    ~Outrage

can pretty much handle everything in the environment, great. this doesn't need changing.
my comments in this colour. I've never rated before, so my comments probably do sound a bit noobish.

    Thanks I,Scream! :D
    Wasn't n00bish at all ^.^

I might be changing Vap and Cres. However, they are two of my favorite pokemon, so I am not sure.
I might keep those sets as they are and have them as side lines to switch in when I am bored! XD
