    Anyway, the challenge is to defeat the Elite Four with only one Pokemon as a battler. That Pokemon cannot be your starter (or it will most likely be far too easy) and must be aquirable before Vermillion City. The other 5 Pokemon you are allowed to carry must not be sent into battle and must be deposited in Bill's PC System before facing the Elite Four.

    When you say "aquirable before Vermillion City", does that exclude that Pokemon's evolutions? Like, say, for example, I catch a Pidgey. Can I evolve it into Pidgeot, or only use Pidgey?

    In my case, it'd probably involve Raichu. You can catch a Pikachu in Veridian Forest, but you can't evolve it until Celadon City, where the first Thunderstone is available. Does this exclude it from the challange?
     
    Oh, I meant use one Pokemon. You can evolve it for sure. So, you'll use Pikachu/Raichu?
     
    im to lazy to look can some list the pokemon you can obtaine before vermilion then ill definatly play
     
    Well, can't you just ask for a Pokemon you want and I'll tell you whether you can use it?
     
    If you only have to beat the E4 with one pokemon, whose to say you can't beat the rest of the game with whoever you like? :P

    Also, is it ok to use an emulator for this?
     
    Yes, of course it's okay! I use an emulator myself.

    Well, there's the loophole. What are you gonna do then, EV train a Porygon or something?
