Question: Thread Organization Regarding Pokemon Games.

    My Main Argument:

    Recently I have noticed something regarding the organization of new threads dealing with topics spreading over more than one generation or genre of the Pokemon games. For example, threads dealing with your favorite game overall or which games you own.

    Frequently, I will see these threads being posted in the Pokemon General forum. Personally, it was my belief that this particular forum is where they were to be posted. However, I have also witnessed threads popping up, and being moved to, the Other Pokemon Games forum. A forum that I once thought was simply for games such as the Mysterious Dungeon series or the Ranger series.

    My question is simply this:
    Which is the forum where these threads are appropriate? Or is it simply a Moderator disgression type of situation?

    Evidence of what I am addressing:

    What is your favorite game?
    This thread was posted in Pokemon General.

    Which games do you own?
    This thread was originally posted in the Metal and Color Generation Games Discussion, but was later moved to Other Pokemon Games.

    Conclusion

    These are not sole occurences either; this difference in organization has been brought to my attention before. I have been wondering this for a long while and just thought I would ask. Is this due to a difference in opinion amongst the Staff, or is it simply a mis-click?

    You're right, threads asking about the games overall and not just one in specific DO belong in Pokémon General, just like those two that you linked. But the thing with that second thread you linked is, they are referring to just the games for the Game Boy and Game Boy Advance, and none of the others. And while it still would probably be better off in Pokémon General, it's understandable why it'd be moved to Other Pokémon Games instead. Since there isn't a forum for just the Game Boy games or anything like that, it's really just left up to the best judgment of whichever mod is handling it. But if you still think it would be better suited for another forum, the best thing to do is just to report them again, saying what you've said here, and another staff member will take a look at it and decide for them self :3
     
    Oh, well thank you so much for clearing that up for me, Aegis. I just thought I would ask in case I ever decided to post a thread covering that once grey area.
