    i just want to clear this up here and now, once and for all. you can only get jirachi through promos! get it through your thick skulls if u need proof, I have it. If u recall, rumors just like this went around about mew in R/B, with the whole truck and ss anne thing. But the whole celebi thing is alot more like this. I got celebi through a nearby promo, and the dex entry was about how it was some kind of time traveler. if u went into one of the forests, there was a sign about how the forests is related to the time travel. Sign = White Rock. concluding all the rumors, unless game freak has made a dramatic change in what they do, you can only get jirachi through a promo. i can only guess it is the same with deoxys.
     
    Sleek is right the only way to get Jirachi and Deoxys is through a promo. or a cheating device.
     
    Sleek, if u know of any promos that you can get it in can u please tell me. Also the whole thing about the truck and the ss. anne was only in the japanese version of red and blue.

    Most of the promos. are usuly at malls (if your close to any) you can buy shinies there that people trade and you can also buy rare pokemon (deoxys jirachi mew yoshi ect.)

    Like sleek said you could most likely only get it from promos. But if you can get it in the game i think it was bad of nintendo to keep everybody wondering like this.
     
    I am agreeing with Bryboy. Although, I think Game Freak might have realized their stupidity in holding most people back from the "secret" legendaries. Therefore, maybe there is a way...
     
    Oh! I get it you have to use a e reader! i'm very old fashion in pokemon! LOL!
     
    I have seen a Japanese Jirachi card that was capable of E-Reader recognization. Other than the fake Spaceship rumor, I know of no other way to get Jirachi without a GameShark... But, mabye there's a secret way... pokemon.com said: "More details on how to capture this creature will be revealed soon..." so maybe they'll tell us on Christmas as a Christmas present! Maybe... (The truck under the SS ANNE was true, though.)

    Yes, the truck was there, but there wasn't a thing you could do with it. At least in the Japanese yellow version. I never checked on Green or any English games.
