Yes, I'm obsessed with Darkrai. Yes, I'm a fanfic noob and this is probably going to turn out very short and bad as a result. And yes, I'm very lazy.
This fanfic takes place in this world, but involves pokemon. It was originally written as a sequel but seeing as I somehow lost the first one which sucked anyway I'm simply writing a very summary-like prologue in the place of this fic's first part. I hope you enjoy.
P.S. This is rated... Pg... I have no idea but it involves guts, gore and violence although I don't want to rate it higher than Pg13 since I, the writer, am only thirteen myself.
Now, let the story begin.
[EDIT: Oh... sorry if I wasn't clear about that Narcissus. Giratina was the one with blonde hair, Darkrai has white.

-Prologue-
No one really knows what they did or why they did it, but somehow, someway, Giratina and Darkrai managed to anger Arceus beyond measure that day. His final threat as the fled his home in a rush was "You may run forever renegades, but I will find you and I will kill you!"
Unfortunately for Arceus, Giratina had devised a cunning plan. But to understand this plan, you must understand one clear point first. The larger legendaries of Sinnoh, being namely Arceus and the dragon trio, have the unusual ability to travel into the universe that you call home. This one, you are sitting in it right now as you read this, the world absent of pokemon and only containing humans and animals. But a price comes with this ability. If the mentioned legendary pokemon, or any other that they chose to warp in, were to come into this world, they would be unable to retain their pokemon form. Instead, each legendary takes on one of five forms and has the power to switch to any one of them at any moment.
Now, after hearing me explain all that, I'm quite sure you know what Giratina's plan was. So, with his friend close by, the ghost dragon traveled into this world and quickly discovered his five forms. It was known that all legendaries to journey here would be able to take on the form of a human and a dragon, so finding that out was in no way difficult. Giratina came out as a blond-haired boy of about seventeen (which was the age that all legendaries appeared as for some unknown reason) with red-brown eyes and a silver outfit with red markings in places and black sleeves. Darkrai knew his form would provoke some questions because of his odd white hair, although the all-black outfit and red, spiked necklace he wore were completely normal like his pale blue eyes. In dragon form, giratina looked like a classic dragon with patterns that were flawlessly congruent to his in pokemon form. Darkrai was a solid black dragon with blue eyes, a white crest on his head, and wreath of ruby red scales around the base of his neck. Giratina didn't bother to take on any of his other three forms; either that or Darkrai just didn't notice. But the darkness pokemon was interested in his other identities, so he found out as soon as possible. A black bat with white tipped ears and a red scarf was one form, with another as a black monitor lizard with a spike-studded red collar and a white, diamond-shaped scale on his head. Darkrai's final masquerade was as a panther, all black with a red mane and a white forlock that hung over his icy-blue eyes.
It was strolling along outside the town where he now lived as a normal seventeen-year-old [with a 'rare hair disorder'] where the turning point in Darkrai's life began. He was in panther form, and it was late. The first thing Darkrai remembered about that night was that he found it odd to see a firefly in this area- they were not supposed to live here. Curious as he was- for he was at this time a cat -Darkrai followed the firefly until it turned around and flew up to him while spontaniously morphing into a green dove with dark-tipped wing, head, and tail feathers. There was no way it was an ordinary lightning bug.
"Ce-celebi? What? Why? When? WHAAAA! You can't tell Arceus I'm here!" At that remark Darkrai pounced on the dove hovering in front of him and held her down, digging his powerful claws into her heaving sides and the feathers on her sprawled out wings.
"Darkrai! Let me go! I have to get Arceus." Celebi struggled and tried to transform, but all was futile under the pressure of Darkrai's heavy paws.
"No! I can't let you do that. Promise me you won't tell Arceus or... or... or I'll eat you!" The ferocity in Darkrai's eyes as he said this told Celebi that he was not joking in any way. The black cat trapping her would literally take a mouthful if she didn't respond soon.
"Yee yikes! Your serious aren't you! O-okay, I give. I'll tell Arceus I was unable to find you!" Darkrai gave her an untrusting and unconvinced look, knowing that it would make her genuinely afraid that he really would turn on her, even after the promise.
"I... I don't believe you entirely... but I'll let you go. You need a reminder though. Take this and don't forget what I said!" Without warning Darkrai bit down hard on celebi's left wing and yanked it off leaving a bloody stub. He knew that once she returned to pokemon form her left arm would be gone as well. Satisfied, the cat let go of his prey and Celebi hobbled off into the woods to return to the warping point. Arceus must never find me. Never!

Weeks passed and after a while Darkrai realized that he hadn't seen Giratina in a while. usually, they would meet in a narrow alley in one of the less populated areas of the city, but standing there now Darkrai could see that his friend hadn't been there in a while. In human form, he didn't attract much attention, however now he couldn't shake the feeling that someone was watching him.
Suddenly, a powerful arm wrapped around his chest and immobilized his own upper limbs, while whomever was doing this pulled their second arm up by his throat. Frantically, he leaned his head up and squeezed his eyes shut when the cold forboding feeling of a sharp knife was present on the right side of his neck. Darkrai shyly opened his eyes to see a man who also had white hair staring down at him with cruelly playful red eyes. "Hello Darkrai, having fun so far from home?"
At those words Darkrai's stomach clenched and he felt as if he was going to be sick. "Ar-Arceus..." he mumbled, carefully so he wouldn't hurt himself.
"Yes Darkrai, it's me. Now watch what you say because though you are a legendary and will not die of old age, this knife could easily be slid down your throat." With that Arceus pulled his grip in tighter and Darkrai felt a hot, sticky drop seep out of his neck. "Now listen Darkrai, just after I sent Celebi in to hunt you and Giratina down and bring you to me for punishment, I had a change of heart. Surprisingly, a lot of us legends missed you both and I decided to come in myself to bring you back home with only minor punishment. I already did so for Giratina."
"R-really?" Darkrai muttered sloppily, still trying to avoid being cut too badly.
"Yes, Darkrai. And I was going to offer the same too you until Celebi returned missing a limb and with huge bruises on her sides. Even Shaymin, our greatest healer cannot regrow an arm, Darkrai." A horrible feeling overcame Darkrai and he flinched. Arceus really is going to kill me! Why did I have to go so far? Desperately Darkrai tried to think of what would deter Arceus and cause him to give a less harsh punishment. "Now, Darkrai, it is your time... die!"
Darkrai knew that Arceus was just messing with him now, slowly pulling the knife deeper and deeper into his skin just to be dramatic. This can't be the end! What can I do that will bring out Arceus' mercy? Then, an idea come into Darkrai's head, and he attempted something that none of the other legends thought possible of the nightmare pokemon. He cried. Just a few tears at first but then it was clearly noticeable. Arceus stopped, with the knife still in a now sizable wound and listened to what Darkrai had to say. Got him! Now for my sad helpless voice. "Please Arceus... don't kill me! Anything but that... please... please."
The pokemon in human form looked down on Darkrai's helpless body and rolled his eyes. "There's no fooling you Darkrai. You knew I wouldn't kill you if you put on a display like that. But hear me out. The wound I have left you will be a permanent scar. Keep it as a reminder to never defy your elders."
Darkrai was a bit confused by that statement, so he had to ask, "What do you mean by that? Technically, you are my only elder so why not just tell me to never defy you?" Arceus pulled the knife away and looked Darkrai in the eyes.
"Oh, did you really think I'de let you off that easy? Not at all! In your legendary form, yes, I am your only elder. But a seventeen-year-old boy has a lot of people that he needs to obey. So, in case you didn't catch that, I will tell you your punishment straight-out. Darkrai, I'm officially marooning you in this world until someday in the distant future when I am in a good mood and decide to bring you home. Goodbye, and good luck." Darkrai was unprepared for Arceus' sudden departure and was left stunned for a second in the alley.
No one had seen, to every human here he was just some freaky kid with a hair disorder. And that was how Darkrai had planned to live with Giratina for a few years until Arceus had calmed down. But this, this was too much. In sad desperation, Darkrai fell to his knees and sat in the spot where his last connection to the pokemon world had just been slowly going over the reality that just had been revealed to him. I'm stuck... in a world where I know no one... with forms I'm barely used to... and I'm way too far from home.
