Suggestion: Top 6 Friends

I would like to have something implemented that Facebook HAD, and that is the ability to sticky people in the friend list with 6 icons on your profile. Every time I feel like spamming Jorah's profile, I have to scroll all the way down my friends tab >__> Just saying. Useful for showing who your close friends are and for quick access reasons.

I think this was suggested before and shot down because it would cause problems between friends and needless "Why aren't I on your top friends? You're on mine!!" and things like that idk?

I'm in agreement with Nick. I remember when MySpace was popular and I felt like I had to have certain people in my top friends. :( So it was an annoyance more than anything. And it might hurt some peoples' feelings and such.

You can always use:

Just type in her, or anyone else's username at the username part for quick access. It's what I do 99% of the time.

I can see both sides' points, how it would be good to implement a top friends list and how there would be harassment from it...

HOWEVER

If I may express my opinion, maybe instead of having a top-friend's list, maybe make it a last communicated with friends lists, so the last people in your friend's list that you've communicated with in the past appear further up on the list, since they seem the most frequent to talk to you.

I agree with Nica, and I use that same method. Just type in their username if you want fast access. xD;

While Top Friends is a neat feature, some people on here have over 100 people on their list, and are close with quite a number of them. I personally would hate to rank 6 of them over all others, and if I did, other people's feelings might be hurt. I can see that being biggest issue, and I don't think anyone on here should have to feel that way. Keeping it randomized is more convenient in that way, since even if some of us do have friends that we're closer to, there's no reason to shove that in other people's faces. >_>
