    I need help making an effective Torterra moveset. Help please ^^
     
    How about you come up with a moveset of your own THEN we help you with your movelist. Please stop posting threads asking people to do things for you.
     
    Fair enough, but I really don't know what would be effective, which is why I asked for help making a moveset in the first place..

    I guess:

    Earthquake
    Leech seed
    Crunch
    Woodhammer

    Same as what he said... but please dont use Crunch lol

    Stone Edge is the best choice since both of Torterra's moves won't hit flying types very well
     
    Hey, I use Wood Hammer quite effectivly. Here's my exact Torterra:

    Torterra@Leftovers
    Nature:Impish
    Wood Hammer
    Stone Edge [PP MAX]
    Earthquake
    Synthesis
    EV:252 HP, 82 ATK, 176 DEF

    This has worked wonders for me ;)
     
    Heh, the reason I use Wood Hammer is the laziness to first teach a poke Seed Bomb then breed. This is the same Torterra that I beat the game with, and his IV's are great, so I said screw it. With Stone Edge + Earthquake, it hits every type. Wood Hammer is more of a last resort.
     
    Of course, it's always nice to have Sunny Day support.
     
    Nah, two moveslots just to restore HP seems like a waste.

    And it makes Torterra more vulnerable to fire, so having to use Synthesis more often.

    And a Sunnyday over an over again. Seems like a waste :(
     
    No, I mean someone else is a Sunnybeamer. She keeps TTar at bay.
     
    Then thats a good thing.

    No Leech Seed on Torterra unless you want a switch.

    so FTW PP Max doesn't increase the maximum PP. XDD
     
    ? It increased Stone Edge to 8 PP instead of 5.
     
    No, you're thinking Ether/Elixer. PP Max raises PP to the max. PP UP raises PP,'but you'll need 2-4 to completley max PP.
     
    I'm not sure about stone edge..

    I taught it to my Golem to replace rock slide and now I wish I didn't. Stone edge just misses too many times..
     
    Rock Slide is also an option, but it just isn't powerful enough.
     
    Are there any other rock alternatives?

    I can't decide between rock slide and stone edge..
     
    I'll make that choice for you. Stone Edge. Rock Slide just isn't strong enough, especially without STAB. Stone Edge may miss, but it can save your arse. Plus a high critical hit ratio.
