Tournament Legal?

    So, I'm kind of wanting to make a tournament legal deck, but I'm not sure what sets are allowed anymore...

    Also, basic Energy Cards count no matter what set, right?

    And, then I have an old Dark Energy (before it became a Basic Energy Card) and I want to know if that can be used as well.

    There are also some older cards that can be used. They are in the list of allowed reprints. You can find other rules and information at the TCG web site: https://www.go-pokemon.com

    Yes, basic energy cards are allowed, no matter what set they are from. You might want to look on the TCG site to determine if that energy is allowed. However, I do believe that it is. I have pulled a non-basic dark energy card from the recent booster packs.
