5th Gen Trading Across Generations

Hey, this is my first post and I'm quite new here. I hope the community really can help me out with this question. I've been going through Battle Subway and looking for good pokemon to use. My problem is that I want to bring some of my Gen 4 Pokemon in to use and just, basically win.
My question is this:
Will all of the EV's obtained in later generations stick with pokemon as they are traded? I've become a real big fan of mathematical side of pokemon within the past 3 years, and this would save me a lot of time if I had an answer to this question.

Yes the EV training done in previous generations will still apply, so no need to re-EV them. :) Just the Pokemon you can EV on are different, which you can see in B/W's FAQ. Just remember that you can't trade back to generation 4 once you've traded to generation 5, etc.
