    Transfering question despite having read the FAQ...

    Hi,
    I recently moved to Canada, from France, and I have been playing up until DP on the french version of the games. Now, I'm interested in getting Black so I checked the FAQ and it said that you couldn't simply transfer your pokemon because it was language locked but I would like to know if there is at least some convoluted way of getting my "french pokémon"^^ into a US version of Black/White. Can you use the GTS from GEN IV to V or something? I mean, since you could even trade with Japan in GEN IV...

    Is it language locked? If you really can't transfer from a French Gen IV to a Gen V (Which I think you can) just GTS your pokemon from your IV to a USA IV and then pal park to Gen V.
     
    You could also ask someone in Quick Trade Thread if they have a French version of Black or White and ask them to PokeTransfer the Pokemon (you need to trade 4th generation to 4th generation games) to their Black or White. Ask them to send the Pokemon back to you on your B/W game, then you'll have your Pokemon on your 5th generation games without having to purchase another game or use the GTS.
