    Let say I have an Onix w/ Metal Coat, if I trade it to my friend in R/B/Y, and back, will I get a Steelix?
     
    R/B/Y don't support attached items, so you won't be able to trade the Onix over if it's got the coat attached. Short answer: no.

    This should have gone in Simple Questions.

    As Geometric stated above, R/B/Y does not support hold items.
