    Hey Guys/Gals
Well, I got D/P yesterday (along with a DS) and after having some fun with it, I found a spot where i can get WiFi Access! (I don't have a wireless router, but if I stand near a tree in my front yard, i can get some unprotected access!) I'm so excited.

I have a few questions though, and I'm having some trouble finding the answers =P

    1) You can only search the GTS for Pokes you have seen, right? How would one trade for a poke you havent seen? Or do you need direct trading?

    2) Can i direct trade (Friend Code) for pokes I have not seen?
2B) Can I direct trade (Friend Code) for pokes not in the Sinnoh Dex?

Thanks, I just started the game (Had to reset a ton for a decent nature starter...) but I need more than just my Piplup =P but I only like to use pokes I like in-game. I was wondering if I could trade for other pokes? (Assuming someone would want my crap =P)

    Thanks a ton!

    1) Just do a standard trade with a friend.
    2) Yes
    2b) Yes

So in theory, I could have someone trade me a Togepi? Or a Charmander? Or something I like? (The pokes in the beginning are lame...)

Wow, thanks for all the support!! That was speedy quick.

Now if I can find someone who would =P

    1) Yes, just like trainer battles. if a trainer or gym leader has a pokemon that you have never seen it registers it in the GTS and you can trade or trade for that pokemon.
    2) Yes you can, only if the person your trading with has that pokemon(thru wifi)
2b)Yes you can. Has to be anything from R/S/E/FR/LF not from any other generation.

    Oops, one more question.
How far do I actually have to be in the game? (Lol, I'm not a total pokemon noob, I'm just slower in this game due to looking for Wifi around the block =P)

Edit: Eggs can be traded too, correct?
And how far into the game is the daycare? (So i can re-breed for a nature)

What do you mean how far in the game?

ANSWER TO EDIT ?: Eggs CANNOt be traded thru GTS, only thru WiFi. The daycare is in Solaceon town. I think you only need three badges before you get there. since i dont conentrate on badges i only really look at breeding, =p

To use the wireless features to their best all you need is the Oreburgh Gym badge (this gives you access to the Global Trade Station in Jubilife). To access Wi-Fi...well, just get your Friend Code in the Oreburgh City Pokemon Center. If you were asking how far you have to be to trade for Non-Sinnoh Pokemon (which I have a suspicion you were)...you're already far enough. Once you get to Oreburgh City, you have access to EVERYTHING trade-wise that Wi-Fi has to offer.

Eggs can be traded through Wi-Fi using Friend Codes, but can NOT be offered on the GTS. And the Daycare is indeed in Solaceon Town, which is 3 or 4 badges into the game (take a look at your map, and you'll see it as the only horizontal "thin" town, near the middle of the map).

As far as what you wanted to trade for...well, that's for the Trading Post ;).
