3rd Gen Trading to pkmn Emerald?!

    Hey guys - I just bought Emerald a few weeks ago as it's the only game I've never played, and I wanted to trade my Mudkip from HG to the game, I have a wireless GBA adaptor, and thought it would work... but when I entered the Union Room on both consoles the 2 didn't acknowledge each other, I could have sworn I heard somewhere you could trade from DS games back to GBA? Is it possible? And if it isn't possible with my HG game, can I do it with my Pearl or Platinum versions if I delete all moves that Emerald doesn't recognise?!
     
    Sadly, you cannot trade pokemon from your Heartgold or Soulsilver games to your Emerald game. You can only transfer pokemon from your Emerald game to your Heartgold or SoulSilver game using the Pal Park feature.

    Same thing with Platinum, Diamond, and Pearl. You can only transfer pokemon from your GBA games to your DS games. Transfering from DS to GBA is impossible.
     
    ^ Answered. Next time, please use a simple Q&A thread. Either the adv gen or the HGSS one would have been acceptable in this case.
