[Battle] Trainer battles just load black screens

    I have a question, for some reason when entering almost any battle with a trainer (wild battles work fine), the game just loads a black screen but the music still plays. Some trainers still work for some reason, but almost all don't. I use DPE and CFRU, when playing on a vanilla rom and I apply the dpe I test the first battle, the same happens, as well as for all my backups, where I know it worked at some point. Anybody know what I could do? Even my backups don't work anymore after applying the CFRU so I am kinda scared I have to start completely from scratch even though I have tons of backups. I am fairly certain the problem lies somewhere in CFRU or DPE, but everything I tried didnt help. Does someone have an idea what could be causing it? I really need help here, having 55% done of your game and then having to do everything from scratch again would be so depressing...
