Hello, everyone, I'm a researcher/teacher at a university in Slovakia and I would like to create a project with some of the students where we would translate one of the Pokemon games into Slovak and I'm in need of your help.
I read a bit online about translating the games and I found that the easiest would be Fire Red. I downloaded the Advance-Text tool and everything seems to be working. After a quick scroll through the texts, I noticed that some system messaged are missing (battle messages and such). So, again, I ventured online to see what's the matter. I found out that those are somehow scripted in the game (excuse me if I'm terminologicaly incorrect, I'm not a programmer :D) and would require a lot of time to implement in the translation.
So my question is: is there a fast and easy way for me to implement language changes in these messages?
To tell you the truth, the best way for the project would be if we had a txt file with all the dialogues and game texts that we would translate and them simply implement the changes, but I doubt that's possible. Or is it?
Thank you a lot for any help!
