I was looking into translating Pokemon Roms(existing ones) into my native language ie Urdu... It is written in Modified Persian script which is RTL instead of LTR like English.
Problem is, as far as I know, text in those games is based on glyphs, like it's not text, it's just images.
I want to confirm this before continuing, because if this is true then problem is, not only do I have to work on translation but adding a new input system because Persian scripts are conjoined
Take for example
ٹ ی ک ف و ر ا ی ک ز ی م پ ل
I wrote "take for example" in Persian script in separate characters but actually they are always written and read together creating new forms
ٹیک فور ایکزیمپل
Can you see how text take new forms? I believe this will require redoing a lot to make it workable. Can any hit ke up that wheter it's glyph or actual text? And anything I can look into?
