    ===============================================================================
    5.1 From the Lab to Rustboro
    ============================
    Objecitves:
    -----------
    - Learn the controls of the game
    - Get your first Pokemon & PokeDex
    - Meet your rival, father and Wally
    - Meet Team Aqua
    - Travel through Petalburg Woods
    - Gain your first Hoenn Badge

    Things not covered:
    -------------------
    - How to gain the alternate Wallpapers in Rustboro

    To start with, you've probably turned on your Gameboy Advance (or DS if your
    being "cool") and have skipped through the extremely cool introduction with
    Rayquaza showing off his stuff and random Pokemon running along. You've started
    your new game and are looking at Professor Birch, looking at what he is saying.

    He'll ask you to if you want to be a ================TOP TIP=================
    female or a male. Choose what you | If in Japanese, press the top
    right |
    want, it doesn't matter that much | button twice to gett English letters |
    Once that all important decision has |Its now easier to tell when people are|
    been made, he'll ask you to enter | talking about you |
    your name. Enter what you wish to ========================================
    call your character.

    You'll then be minimsed, and sent into the Pokemon world... and WOW, your in
    a moving truck

    =================
    |Littleroot Town|
    =================
    When theres light at the right of the screen, the truck has stopped moving and
    now your able to move. Step out of the truck and your mother will usher you
    inside.

    If you've played Pokemon games before, then you should be comfortable with how
    you sort out Pokemon and how to move through the menu's. If not, I would
    consult my guide about controls. It will also tell you what your objectives
    are in the Pokemon world.

    Look around and you'll see Vigroth moving furniture into your new house. Your
    mother will send you upstairs to set your clock. Later on in the game when you
    get doll's, your able to arrange them in here.

    Setting up your clock should be quite ================TOP TIP=================
    easy. Just turn the hands until it | Go to the PC and your able to get a |
    shows the correct time in the real | potion off the computer! This will |
    world. Time isn't used a lot in the | come in useful |
    game, but is still something ========================================
    important.

    Your mother will come up, and talk to you now. Go downstairs and she'll usher
    you to the TV to see your father on it. It seems your father is famous for
    some reason... guess we'll find out later though.

    If you chose to be Brendan, then your house will be on the left. If you chose
    to be may, it will be on the right. Once out of your house, go to the one that
    you didn't come from.

    Go upstairs past their parent (Isn't it Birch's wife?) and then upstairs
    You won't find anyone up here, but press A at the PokeBall. This will
    get your rivals attention and they will come rushing upstairs.

    After some words, she'll tell you to go find her father on Route 101. Head
    out of the house and North to find this route.

    (beforehand, a small boy would have stopped you leaving Littleroot).

    ===========
    |Route 101|
    ===========
    You'll see Professor Birch being chased by a Zigzagoon... (it was a Poochyena
    in Ruby and Saphire). He'll ask you to get a PokeBall from his bag, thus
    allowing you to choose Pokemon...

    Torchic (Fire)
    - evolves into a powerful Fire/Fighting type
    - good at competitive battling
    - Not so hot against first few gyms

    Mudkip (Water)
    - evolves into a relitively powerful Water/Ground type
    - competent at competitive battling (Mixed Sweeper)
    - good HM slave
    - Great against first Gym

    Treecho (Grass)
    - evolves into an extremely powerful Grass type
    - incredible at competitive battling (Special Sweeper)
    - Great against first gym

    Personally I go with Treecko. I just think he's cooler, and learns Leaf Blade
    when he evolves. He may not be a dual type like the others, but that can be a
    hinderance. You can check out your choices in the PokeDex if you want to know
    more about them.

    When you've made your choice, you'll be thrown into a battle with the level 2
    Zigzagoon. The battle is easy, just use the only attacking move your monsters
    have (Pound for Treecko, Scratch for Torchic, Tackle for Mudkip). Zigzagoon
    won't take long to defeat, and when you have killed him you'll be taken back
    to Birch's lab.

    =================
    |Littleroot Town|
    =================
    In Birch's lab, he will ask you to go find his child (May/Brendan depending
    upon if your a boy or a girl). He tells you she's on Route 103. Before you
    leave he will give you the Pokemon you used to defeat the Zigzagoon. Wow, what
    a nice guy!

    You can give him a nickname now if you wish.

    ================TOP TIP=============== ==============TOP TIP===============
    | If you need to heal your Pokemon | | If your playing in Japanese, then|
    |just go and see your mother. It only| | name your Pokemon in English. |
    | works until you reach Oldale | | This will help when people refer |
    ====================================== | to it |
    ====================================
    Now leave Littleroot by going North.

    ===========
    |Route 101|
    ===========
    Your first route. You'll notice many things here that you'll see around the
    game. The grass that you travel through has wild Pokemon in. The box here
    ============================== will tell you which Pokemon appear in the route
    Pokemon |Level| % |Rarity | however, at the moment you can't catch any of
    ============================== them. If you want to know how to catch Pokemon,
    Wurmple |2 - 3|50% |V.Comman| consult the area in my guide that tells you how.
    Zigzagoon|2 - 3|45% |V.Comman|
    Poochyena|2 - 3|5% |Rare | Battle a few Pokemon while making your way up
    ============================== this route. Theres nothing to do except make
    your way to Oldale. You should have gained a level by the time you enter the
    next town.

    =============
    |Oldale Town|
    =============
    Upon entering the town, you will see two buildings that you should get to know.
    One is the Pokemon Centre. In here you will find two things - a PC for storing
    =================== Pokemon and a nurse who will heal your Pokemon for you.
    Item |Cost| Some centres have items that people give you, but this one
    =================== does not.
    Potion |300 |
    Antidote |100 | The other is the PokeMart (blue roof). This sells many
    Paralyz Heal |200 | items that are useful in the Pokemon world. Upon entering
    Awakening |250 | the town, talk to the man on your right. He will escort you
    =================== to the PokeMart and give you a free Potion (and these are
    always useful). Once done here, move North to Route 103.

    ================TOP TIP=============== ===========
    |You can purchase PokeBalls here once| |Route 103|
    | Birch has given you some for 200 C | ===========
    ====================================== You should be competent at battling now
    and Treecko and Mudkip should have learnt new moves (Absorb and Mud Slap).
    Mud Slap will be useful for the impending battle, while Absorb can be used to
    take energy away from the enemy and give it to you. Focus Energy on Torchic
    is definately not useful sadly. But your two potions should be enough to get
    you through the battle.

    ============================= Work your way through the grass, battling for
    Pokemon |Level| % |Rarity | more experiance if you think you need it. This
    ============================= isn't the best place for training, so carry on
    Poochyena|2 - 4|60%|V.Comman| through the grass until you get to your rival,
    Wingull |2 - 4|20%|Comman | at the top of Route 103 (if you need to see where
    Zigzagoon|3 - 4|20%|Comman | he/she is look at my Place Reference Guide. S/he
    ============================= will tell you about the Pokemon on Route 103, and
    will then challenge you to a battle.

    The Pokemon s/he has depends on what Pokemon you chose. May/Brendan ALWAYS
    chooses the one strongest against yours.

    (Gender doesn't matter for these battles)

    If you chose:

    Torchic... Mudkip... Treecko...
    =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=- =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=- =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-
    May/Brendan | |May/Brendan | |May/Brendan |

    Once May/Brendan has been defeated, head over the ledges on Route 103 if you
    don't want to battle wild Pokemon. I would reccomend this if your Pokemon are
    weak.

    =============
    |Oldale Town|
    =============
    Head south through this town and talk to your rival at the end. They're heading
    back to Littleroot, as you should do as well. I would heal your Pokemon though
    if needs be.

    ===========
    |Route 101|
    ===========
    Head south over the ledges. No need to go into the grass.

    =================
    |Littleroot Town|
    =================
    Head straight for the lab at the south of the town. Head into the lab and talk
    with the Professor and their daughter. They'll say that they think you deserve
    to keep your Pokemon, and hand you a PokeDex! Not to mention five PokeBalls to
    go with it!

    If you want to know the controls for the PokeDex, check my controls guide near
    the start of the faq. When your heading out of town, your mum will stop you and
    give you an exceptionally useful item - the Running Shoes! You don't have to
    equip these, just hold B and you can move twice as fast.

    The PokeBall's can be used on these early Pokemon you've seen around, but you
    don't have to be too bothered as they appear in Route 102 and other routes
    before Rustboro.

    ===========
    |Route 101|
    ===========
    Head north through here. Battle the Pokemon for xp, but its not great xp so
    don't spend too long here.

    =============
    |Oldale Town|
    =============
    Heal your Pokemon if needs be. If you look West, you'll see that the man there
    before has been moved. you can now move onto Petalburg.

    ===========
    |Route 103|
    ===========
    =========================== This isn't an overly long route, but you do get
    Pokemon |Level| % |Rarity| your first taste of trainer battles. Be careful
    =========================== against them as trainers are usually more powerful
    Poochyena|3 - 4|30%|Comman| than wild Pokemon in the area.
    Wurmple |3 - 4|30%|Comman|
    Zigzagoon|3 - 4|15%|Rare | If your a Torchic trainer I would suggest getting
    Lotad |3 - 4|20%|Comman| either a Lotad (Water/Grass) or Seedot here. A Ralts
    Ralts | 4 |4% |V.Rare| is helpful for either team as well, as it grows into
    Seedot | 3 |1% |V.Rare| a powerful Psychic Type not unlike Alakazam. Lotad
    ==========================| and Seedot come in handy for the first Gym, although
    I think Lotad is better because of its origional dual type and the fact it
    grows into an aswome Pokemon.

    The Trainer battles aren't to difficult, the only thing =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-
    to watch out for being the Tallow for Treecko trainers |Youngster |
    though it wouldn't cause any major problems. |Poochyena Lv5 |
    |80 C |
    Luckily at these Levels the two =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-----------------------
    Wurmple's can't Poison you, which |Youngster |BugCatcher |
    is why I didn't advise you to buy |Zigzagoon Lv4; Tallow |Wurmple Lv4 (x2) |
    any Antidotes. |Lv3 |64 C |
    |48 C | |
    You'll notice some soil at the =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=
    top of the map with what looks like trees in. These are 'Berrys', not unlike
    the ones that were in Gold and Silver. Consult the ItemDex if you wish to see
    their battle properties. The BerryDex if you wish to know more about them (Eg
    PokemonBlocks - but thats very far away at the moment).

    Finally towards the end of the Route is yet another Potion. Take this if your
    health is low, but I doubt it will be as you have other potions (and you
    should) have your second Pokemon. Now, carry on West into Petalburg!

    It doesn't really matter about levels at this stage, I will tell you about

    the level your Pokemon should be before big battles like Gyms, and Bosses.

    ================
    |Petalburg City|
    ================
    Upon entry to Petalburg it may look big and grand, however in truth there
    isn't much here upon your first visit (or any other visits). The PokeMart
    =================== stocks some new items. The most useful at the moment
    Item |Price| is Repel. This keeps wild Pokemon at bay for a hundred
    =================== steps. Incredibly useful if you are very close to the
    PokeBall |200 | end of a route. I would buy two Antidotes just in case
    Potion |300 | you get poisioned by the Bug creatures in Petalburg woods.
    Antidote |100 |
    Paralyz Heal|200 | Once you've bought your items (you shouldn't need
    Awakening |250 | PokeBal's yet) make your way to the Gym. If you attempt
    Escape Rope |550 | to leave town before your aloud, Wally's dad will stop
    Repel |350 | you and escort you to your fathers Gym. You might be
    X Speed |350 | wondering who Wally is - well, he's a rather annoying
    X Attack |500 | guy who is more like a second rival. He's not great at
    X Defend |550 | fighting so don't worry. Go into your fathers Gym
    Orange Mail |50 | to meet your father. Sadly he won't let you challenge him,
    =================== but he will let you help Wally to capture a Pokemon. Don't
    know who Wally is? The guy who's just walked in. So, you'll automatically
    follow Wally to Route 102 where he encounters a Ralts. You may have one in your
    team, I don't know. But heres MY quick guide to catching Pokemon (more can be
    found in the section devoted to it...).
    ================TOP TIP===============
    When you encounter a wild Pokemon that | Paralyz, Freeze and Sleep are the |
    you want, the thing to do is throw a |most useful status allailments. They|
    PokeBall. It wont' always catch if the |don't cause any damage to the enemy |
    Pokemon has full health. I would suggest |Pokemon. Sleep and Freeze also make |
    doing some damage to it, or causing | sure they can't move. Cool no? |
    some status alailments (Burn, Paralyz). ======================================
    Once you've taken the enemy down to the red, or at a stable lower level but
    asleep/frozen/paralyzed, then its time to throw PokeBall's. The stronger the
    Pokemon, the better PokeBall should be used. The handy table shows the order
    ================ the Ball's go in, but it doesn't show all PokeBall's (consult)
    No.|PokeBall | the itemdex over that.
    ================
    01 |PokeBall | Your Pokemon will be sent to your PC box if you have more than
    02 |Great Ball | 6 Pokemo on you. From here you can manage your captured beasts
    03 |Ultra Ball | and (if you wish) set them free.
    04 |Master Ball|
    ================ Anyway. Back to the game. Once you've helped Wally, you'll be
    taken back to Petalburg's Gym and talk with your father. He will send you on
    your way. You'll see Eshinda on the way and after a short conversation, you
    can continue on-route to Rustboro City!

    ===========
    |Route 104|
    ===========
    Theres only one Route between Rustboro and Petalburg, however there is also
    your first dungeon in the form of Petalburg Woods. More on that in a second
    though.

    =========================== The Pokemon here you've met before, but are at a
    Pokemon |Level| % |Rarity| higher level. I wouldn't suggest training here, as
    =========================== Petalburg Woods is a better location for that and
    Poochyena| 4-5 |50%|Comman| you have many battles coming up where you can gain
    Wurmple | 4-5 |30%|Comman| experiance. A Tallow could be a good capture if you
    Tallow | 4-5 |10%|Rare | need a filler Pokemon. However he isn't one of my
    Wingull | 3-5 |10%|Rare | personal favourites so I would leave him and carry
    =========================== on.

    The battles here are quite easy, =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-
    so you shouldn't have much |Youngster |Fisherman |
    trouble with them. The zigzagoon |Zigzagoon Lv.5; |Magikarp Lv.9 |
    and the Seedot are the most |Seedot Lv.7 |360 C |
    dangerous at Lv7. You sould sotrm |360C |--------------------|
    this. =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-|Rich Girl |
    |Zigzagoon Lv.7 |
    There are two berry's at the top of the route, collect |140 C |
    them. Its exactly what you got earlier on Route 103. =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-

    Move left from the berry trees and north. Battle the final trainer her and her
    Zigzagoon which you should move out the way easilly. If your going to go to
    the Pokemon Centre, I'd do that in a second. Go up into Petalburg Woods.

    =================
    |Petalburg Woods|
    =================
    First things first. If you need to/want to heal before =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-
    the next few battles do so after this small bit. Head |Bug Catcher |
    right immediately then downwards, back through a fence |Wurmple Lv.3 (x4) |
    and onto Route 104. Grab the item near the girl (which |48 C |
    is a PokeBall) then either heal or go back to Petalburg ----------------------
    Woods. |Bug Catcher |
    |Nincada Lv.6 (x2) |
    The woods are shaped in an spirally shape - you head left|96 C |
    then right then left. Go left to start with and battle =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-
    the Bug Catcher, which is a simple battle.

    =========================== Pick up the Paralyz Heal (it should come in handy)
    Pokemon |Level| % |Rarity| and head left. Your Pokemon should be nearing Level
    =========================== 10 and you should have 3 by the end of Petalburg
    Poochyena| 5-6 |30%|Comman| Woods (or two Pokemon Level 12/13). You'll see a red
    Wurmple | 5-6 |25%|Comman| haired man who is being chased by an Aqua Grunt.
    Shroomish| 5-6 |15%|Comman| An Aqua Grunt is a member of Team Aqua, one of the
    Silcoon | 5 |10%|Rare | main criminal organisations in Hoenn. He wants some
    Cascoon | 5 |10%|Rare | Devon Corp Goods (Devon Corp being a company that
    Tallow | 5-6 |5% |V.Rare| the red haired man works for. Got the story now?)
    Slakoth | 5-6 |5% |V.Rare| that the man has. You have to stop him by battling
    =========================== his Pokemon!

    =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=- If your Pokemon are nearing the Level 10 I suggested
    Aquq Grunt | then this will be a walkover for you. If your really
    ---------------------- stuck I'd go with Special attacks, so your starter will
    Poochyena Lv.9 | be the best for this. Once you've won, you'll get a
    180 C | Great Ball from the Devon Corp dude and he'll run North
    Strat: Use Special | back to Rustboro City, which is where your headed.
    Attacks as it'll kill|
    him quicker. | Carry on going through the zigzaging path and you'll
    =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=- find the final trainer. His Pokemon offer good
    experiance and give you the final push to level 10. After this battle you'll
    come across a rare item called an Ether. This replenishes your "Power Points"
    of your moves, so that you can use them some more. I would save this for Gym
    Battles, or alternitavely when your facing the Elite 4 and you can't heal.

    Finally head North and you'll be out of Petalburg Woods. Don't worry if your
    not Level 10, as there are quite a few battles until you enter Rustboro and it
    only really matters if you have Torchic.

    ===========
    |Route 104|
    ===========
    After stepping out into the bright sunlight, you'll see a man near you. Talk
    to him for the imfamous TM09 Bullet Seed! Please note that the Pokemon your
    able to capture here are the same ones you were able to capture on Route 104
    earlier.

    On your left is a building and some berry's. Behind the building is some
    grass with a Potion in the middle. You should have a supply of these from
    the PokeMart, but just in case you need it keep it. The soil has two Cheri
    Berry's and 2 Oran Berry's in.

    Enter the shop to get the Wailmer Patel ================TOP TIP===============
    from the girl in the upper middle part |Keep track of how long your planted |
    of the shop. Also get your first Persim | Berry's take to grow. It will help |
    Berry from the woman at the right of the| you to realise when to pick Berry's|

    Go down and right along the track.=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-
    There are many battles to get |Rich Boy |Lass |
    your Pokemon levels higher before |Zigzagoon Lv.7 |Lotad Lv.6; |

    Water. If you wanted to capture any Pokemon here you can just look at my notes
    earlier but theres nothing of interest.

    Theres a final pair of Berry trees here that supply you with two Cheri and
    two Leppa Berry's. The old woman standing by these will also provide you with
    a Cheri Berry. Move north through the puddles into... Rustboro City!

    ===============
    |Rustboro City|
    ===============
    First things first head to the Pokemon Centre. Explore the town to see what you
    can find. However use this guide to find everyting it has to offer. Upon
    entering the city look to your left at the tall building. It looks like nothing
    but enter and go to the second floor. Talk to the short man/big child and he
    will give you a Premium Ball. Don't complain that you just got a Great Ball, it
    was free.

    =================== As you can see the PokeMart stocks exactly the same as in
    Item |Price| Petalburg so grab what you need and move on. The Pokemon
    =================== Centre doesn't have any hidden items in either.
    PokeBall |200 |
    Potion |300 |The house to the right of the PokeCentre has a man in it.
    Super Potion|700 |Talk to him and he will give you the elusive HM01 Cut. You
    Antidote |100 |can use this move outside of battle after you gain the badge

    Escape Rope |550 |place and unlike the other trees in the game, almost
    Repel |350 |minature compared to the other ones.
    X Speed |350 |
    X Attack |500 | The house behind the Pokemon Centre (dubbed, by me, "Sick"
    X Defend |350 | House" lets you gain alternate wallpapers for your PC,
    =================== however I am unable to find out how to get these yet so
    bear with me.

    *update* it seems no-one is able to figure out how to get these box papers.
    However through the wonderful world of hacking we do know that there are:

    The Pokemon School is on the other side of the city to the sick house. In here
    you can learn about status conditions, but the main reason to come in here is
    ================TOP TIP=============== to collect the Quick Claw. It makes you
    | Put the Quick Claw on slow Pokemon | go first in most duels. Ignore the huge
    | to give them the edge in battle! | castle-like building for now and go into
    ====================================== the Pokemon Gym!

    ========================================================================
    |Battle For the Gym Badge: Foxi Miss Roxi! - she's a whole lotta woman!|
    ========================================================================
    That age old battle music will come into your ears and you'll be taken back to
    your Red/Blue days. The tune that put the spirit into your heart and spurred
    you onto battling the Gym Leaders Pokemon taunting you up ahead.

    The three junior trainers are avoidable, but I wouldn't recomend it. Torchic
    owners look out for these battles, everyone else should find them a breeze if
    you use your type attacks.

    Those should have been easy for your Treecko with Bullet Seed, Mudkip with

    now its time for the real thing. Roxanne wants a battle people. Give the lady

    If you followed my guide last time, you'll be in Rustboro City and will have
    just defeated Roxanne for the first Gym Badge. Congratulations on your
    excellent win. If your having trouble against her I suggest battling some wild
    Pokemon in Petalburg Woods and getting your levels higher.

    After you've exited the Gym you'll see a blue pirate hatted man run away,
    quickly followed by a red haired man. These may look familiar because they
    are the people who you helped in Petalburg Woods. Go North yourself, quickly
    stopping off on...

    This goes into your menu, and can be accessed from here. Its much like the
    PokeGear from gold and silver, sporting a mobile phone now. You'll also be
    given a letter to give to Steven in Dewford Town. How utterly interesting...
    shame you can't read the letter eh.

    On your way out you'll talk to the scientist who'll give you his number. You'll
    be prompted to call him (which you will have to do). On the floor below Mr.
    Stone you'll find ltos of scientists. When you have fossils, come here to have

    Gender doesn't matter on the type of Pokemon you face. You shouldn't have too

    will come in useful as you can't use them yet, however X Accuracy should just
    be sold at a shop to generate some income. Head south out of Petalburg Woods.

    ===========
    |Route 104|
    ===========
    Walk south from Petalburg Woods and approach the only building on this route.
    Inside you'll find Binney, the guy from earlier. He'll now take you to Dewford
    Town as a reward for helping him get back his Wingull. Brilliant!

    ==============
    |Dewford Town|
    ==============
    After your enthralling ride, you'll arrive in Dewford. If you wish to get back
    to the area of Hoenn you just came from, then talk to him again. The first
    house coming off the dock has a woman sitting at a table inside, who gives you
    a Silk Scalf. Go to the Pokemon Centre and heal your critters. Its time to face
    Brawley (so soon you ask? yes).

    Just before entering the Gym, talk to the guy to the right of it. He will give
    you an old rod, which will enable you to catch your very fist water Pokemon!

    =============== If you really want either of these Pokemon, be my guest and
    Pokemon |LVL | catch them. If you don't have a Water Pokemon, they could be

    The gym itself is easy to navigate, each time you beat a trainer more of

    For pitties sakes, DO NOT USE BUGS HERE. They're weak (hence you shouldn't

    Flying is the way to go, but if you've levelled up your Pokemon to a high
    enough level (doubtful considering the lack of battles you've had), then
    you should be alright.

    Heal your Pokemon, grab some potions if your running low and prepare for

    4.2.12.1 Granite Cave
    =====================
    Enter the cave. In front of you is a man, talk to him and you'll be given HM05
    - Flash.

    Head left afterwards, to the ladder going down. Grab the item just above here
    (an escape rope). Teach flash a Pokemon before going here - though, if you wish
    to go through here without learning Flash. I have directions for you in
    4.2.12.1.1 - yes, a long name. Hmmm. On we go.

    Head upwards from the word go. Right, then down to grab an item (a PokeBall).
    Go back up, then right again. A south easterly direction, then down another
    ladder.

    Head all the way left, then up some steps. You can't do anything to those
    dodgy looking rocks, so just go up the steps, the right again. Carry on until
    you get to a ladder going up. Go up that ladder. Go up the ladder right next
    to you when you've done that. You'll come out in a non flash area (which is
    also the inaccessable area when you begun). Head down to the new cave entrance,
    and enter.

    Inside is the legendary trainer, Steven. Talk to him (don't ask) and you'll
    loose your letter to Steven.

    And gain TM47 Steel Wing - ironically, Steven's signature move. Well, one of
    them... once this is done, exit Granite cave by either using the escape rope
    or trecking back through it.

    4.2.12.1.1 Non-Flash Walkthrough
    ================================
    After heading down the first tunnel, here are the EXACT directions to do this
    dungeon.

    - 1 left
    - 7 up
    - 3 right
    - 2 up
    - 14 right
    - 4 down
    - 4 right
    - 5 down
    - 4 right

    Next floor;
    - 3 up
    - 20 left
    - 2 down
    - 4 left
    - 5 up
    - 17 right
    - 2 up
    - 8 right

    Next Floor;
    - 4 left

    And we're done! The next bit doesn't need flash, so go on your merry way and
    meet Steven. Though this doesn't incorperate getting the lone item in the
    dungeon - the Escape Rope.

    Back to the guide:
    ==============================================================================

    Once your done in Granite Cave, its time to go to Slateport. Get on the boat
    that Binney is waiting for you on, and set sail - its the second option.

    4.2.13 Route 109

    Lots of trainers on the Route before Slateport. As you get off the boat, go

    HP Up 9,800

    The man on the right just before exiting Slateport will give you the Powder
    Jar - something introduced in Fire Red and Leaf Green. This is all explaiend
    in section 3.

    The houses on the right side of the market have nothing of interest in, so
    ignore them for now.

    If you want to get rid of the line of Team Aqua members, run into the shipyard
    (the building below where they were surrouned). But before we go in here, lets
    do the other bits in Slateport...

    4.2.14.2 Pokemon Fan House
    ==========================
    The building on the left from the PokeMart.

    In here there are a few things to do. The girl at the back of the building
    who is looking at a picture on the wall will give you a Soothe Bell - good
    for making Happiness Evolution Pokemon evolve quicker.

    The man in the bottom right hand corner of the building is a new person to
    Emerald. He is one of the imfamous Move Turos! This one teaches Swagger to
    your Pokemon of choice.

    The two people on the right - one of them asks you for a phrase. Now, if
    anyone can figure out what this does, inform me and credit will be duelly
    added.

    Nothing in the PokeCenter cept the normal. Go to the house on the right of
    this.

    4.2.14.4 Name Changer
    =====================
    This man will change the Pokemon's nick name that you've given it - or even
    give it one.

    4.2.14.5 Museum
    ===============
    The museum is on the right. Go in here once everything else is done in here -
    Except the Battle Tent in the top left hand corner (for nothing is in the
    dock in the top right).

    Pay 50 credits to enter. You'll see many Aqua grunts around, but they won't
    battle you.

    Walk directly forewards, and you'll be stopped by one of them (the one that
    you thwarted in Rusturf Tunnel, but thats unimportant). He'll give you TM46,
    theif that can be used for competitive battling.

    Go up to the next floor, and you'll find the man your meant to deliver the
    Devon Goods to. This is Captain Stern. Deliver them and two Aqua grunts will
    come in. Its battlin' time!

    A bit more takling, and a third grunt will enter. No battle though, and he'll
    dissapear. Quickly followed by Captain Sterm.

    And, again, you'll be greeted by Battle Tower Dude! His name is in fact
    Enshida (according to Serebii) and he's quite important for gaining some rare
    berries later on. But for now, he's not that important. Just listen to his
    words, and carry on.

    (I think he then comes out of the battle tent when you attempt to enter!
    Wierd).

    4.2.14.6 Battle Tent 1
    ======================
    Right. Inside there's a big desk with a PC on the right. Four people are
    walking around on the floor.

    The guy in the sailors hat will give you TM41 Torment, in a change to Ruby
    and Saphire.

    Talk to the guy at the desk. Save the game, then follow him.

    Now. I will explain the rules of the Slateport City Battle Tent!
    =============================================================================
    - your taken into the lift, then given a choice of six Pokemon.

    - out of these six, make a team of 3 - your able to look at their attacks and
    stats.

    Your then put into a battle!

    - these rental Pokemon do battle. If you win, then your allowed to take one of
    the opponents Pokemon thus sacrificing one of your own - it enables you to
    improve your team.

    4.2.15 Route 110
    ================
    Walk upwards, past the grass. The bike road is on your right, but you can't
    use it now. head north along the walking route.

    As you walk up, you'll be stopped by someone. They say something, then you can
    walk on.

    Then you'll be stopped by two trainers. Cue double battle.

    into the bushes just before the twins.

    Cut down the tree in front of you. Now, I went around the top and talked to
    the top man, thus initiating a single battle. You may be able to participate
    in a double battle, but i'm not sure. Here are the single versions for both
    trainers.

    can't complete that until much later on, when we have a lot more HM's I'm
    afraid. So, on with the trip right.

    (I'd recomend healing your Pokemon before heading down here. Your rival is

    the shop. Talk to the guy with the red hair inside and click the top option -
    I think its to say you travelled from afar. Now let him talk and the next
    option youll come to is for a bike. Which one to choose? Well, these are
    explained in section 3. The top one is the faster Mach Bike. The second is the
    technically, more trick worthy Acro Bike. Its your choice.

    4.2.16.5 Casino
    ===============
    First things first. Go up to the desk at the front, then to the girl on the
    left. Talk to her and you'll get a decoration, stored in either your Secret
    Base or at home on your PC.

    Talk to the three people at the desk. The one standing on his own will give you
    coins to play their games with.

    50 coins - 1000 credits
    500 coins - 10000 credits

    YOu should know how this works. You pick the amount of coins you enter. Start
    them off. Press A to stop the first... to stop the second and the third.
    If you get certain combinations, then you win a prize.

    4.2.16.5.1.2 Wheel of Fortune
    =============================
    My favourite game by far.

    You have a wheel, and a ball. You pick either the colour, the pokemon picture
    or the exact kind of square you'll think it'll land on. The less the chance of
    winning, the bigger the pay out.

    The wheel spins, you attempt to win.

    Lets get some quick battling experiance before going to the third Gym.

    4.2.17 Route 118
    ================

    4.2.18.1 Breeding Center
    ========================
    This is the breeding
    Center. Enter here if you want to breed Pokemon. Give two Pokemon and, if they
    like each other, then they will breed. This is covered in a lot more detail in
    section 3.

    Go back to the route. To your right are a pair of trainers. This is a battle

    Battle tower dude is also in here. Here is the second battle tent. Here are the
    rules for it.

    You get to use your own Pokemon. the opponent matches the highest level
    of your Pokemon. Your Pokemon uses a move at random and you have no choice over
    it. Its pure luck whether you defeat the Pokemon or not.

    HINT: use a strong attacking/special attacking Pokemon.

    to find yourself some Dark Glasses (power up Dark Moves).

    - item was a HP up.

    In the tunnel, head upwards to the item next tot he two people next to the
    rocks a Max Elixer.

    You should have taught Rock Smash from mawille to one of your Pokemon. Now,
    after destroying one of the rocks, it'll trigger a cut scene.

    this place yet. Basically because you can't.

    Head left and you'll be on Route 112.

    4.2.21 Route 112
    ================
    Much of the same as Route 111. Carry on left, and you'll come to a trainer.

    4.2.21.1 Firey Path
    ===================
    Sort of an 'extra' of Route 112. This isn't fully opened up until you've beaten
    Flannery at the next Gym. But we're getting ahead of ourselves here. So, hurry
    foreward and don't loose faith. Go around when you see the exit, and get out
    of here.

    4.2.21.1.1 Firey Path - Strength Reveals
    ========================================
    Push the only boulder across here into its hole, so they're standing together.
    Now push the one on the left up, and the one on the right, right.

    Push the next boulder three right, then go up and grab TM06 Toxic.

    Go down, and push that boulder downwards, then right when it reaches the
    bottom. Leave it, and push the next one right. Then you'll be free to walk past
    and grab the item, a very elusive Fire Stone.

    4.2.21 Route 112 (part 2)
    =========================
    Step out of Fiery Path, and you'll see a choice double trainer battle (if your
    accustioned to telling what they are) and a few berries. The berries (from the
    left, as always are; 2 Rawst Berrys, 2 Pecha Berrys, another 2 Pecha Berry's
    and 2 more Rawst Berrys.

    Here is the battle doubled.

    your travels then...

    4.2.20 Route 111 (part 2)
    =========================
    Don't head down. Its just the desert, and you can't get in anyway. Up is
    another trainer. Battle him, the twelth of Route 111.

    The guy staring at the tree up ahead will give you TM43 Secret Power. All of
    this is covered in Section three, where everything about the games that isn't
    contained in the guide (and some that is) is there.

    Cut down the "cut" tree to your right, and enter the house.

    4.2.20.2 Rest House
    ===================
    Aah. The imfamous Rest House. Your probably relishing the next few visits to
    the Pokemon center, so this is to help. The woman in here rests your Pokemon
    (and you) for you, just like a Pokemon Center. But, as its not that important,
    you can carry on, on your journey.

    4.2.20 Route 111 (part 3)
    =========================
    The final leg of Route 111.

    If you wish to get the thirteenth trainer in my "faq", then you must have the
    Mach Bike. Head up the mud slope (something new to you). Then head south
    (passing many Secret Base locations - the real reason you got Secret Power. If
    you want one. Make one. But this isn't covered in this sectino of the guide).

    You'll find the fighting trainer going backwards and forewards...

    Route 111 Battle 13
    Ninja1
    -------------------
    Machop Lv.19
    357xp
    608 credits

    Go all the way back, then hop off the high road. Talk to the girl in the yellow
    dress and get something. I think its a base item, but I'm very stupid. E-mail
    me if you figure out what it is.

    Grab the berry's. From the left; 2 sets of 2 Oran Berry's, 2 sets of 2 Razz
    Berry's.

    Head left. Another trainer.

    Head left. You'll arrive on Route 113.

    4.2.22 Route 113
    ================
    Just for the record - its not snowing. Its ash from the mountain.

    Go along here, on the bottom half of the path. Walk past a short dude,
    then up to a battle.

    Route 113 Battle 1
    Youngster1
    ------------------
    Trapinch Lv.19
    297xp
    304 credits

    Go up, then face that mound on the path. Press A and you'll get an Elixer.

    Jump over the ledge, and walk foreward.

    Hmm. A non choice, however obviously seperate double trainer battle. I'll count
    these as seperate trainers. However, you have to battle them in a double way.

    Route 113 Battle 2 & 3

    Once done, without knowledge, you'll be challenged by another trainer. Don't
    you just love these new fangled double, forced battles?!

    (this woman looks crazy may I add)

    Go back, then down. Go around the back of the trainer that you fought, and
    press A next to the mound - this will get you a Nugget. Now grab the normal
    item which is a Super Repel.

    Head over the ledge, then back along the way you came. Go left more, to the
    girl who is looking for a battle.

    Go into the house, and you'll get the Soot Sack. You're able to collect soot
    now. So, go forth and do so if you want to. When you have collected enough soot
    you can then trade them in with the man for items.

    Finish here, and head outisde, then down. Left to the next youngster.

    Route 113 Battle 8
    Youngster2
    ------------------
    Aron Lv.19
    390xp
    304 credits

    Head up. Now, you'll see a small ash pile up here and you can walk over it. A
    lot of these kinds of piles hold secret items (we've covered a few before) and
    this is no exception, though this one is a lot rarer. Its TM32, Double Team!

    Just before going left to the wide plains, go down and look carefully. There is
    an item down here, a Hyper Potion.

    Go left. A choice double battle. Camper and Cool Guy.

    Go left. This ladies and gentlemen. Is Fallabor Town.

    4.2.23 Fallabour Town
    =====================
    Not much here now. The second Battle Tent, move relearner, Move tutor...
    maybe not as useless as I made out.

    4.2.23.1 PokeMart
    =======================
    Go into the PokeMart. Instead of just a price list, I have something for
    you. Go to the shelves at the top middle section. Talk to the girl there and
    she will teach one of your Pokemon the move Metromone! Wow, what a thing eh?!

    Items
    Great Ball 600
    Super Potion 700
    Antidote 100
    Paralyz Heal 200
    Escape Rope 550
    Super Repel 500
    X Special 350
    X Speed 350
    X Attack 500
    X Defend 550
    Dire Hit 650
    Guard Spec 700

    4.2.23.2 Pokemon Center
    =======================
    The usual is here. But talk to the girl at the PC, to change the name of the Pc
    system. Wow, some different obscure Japanese symbols. Your so lucky!

    4.2.23.3 Battle Tent 3 - and Final
    ==================================
    The last of the battle tents. They end too prematurely for me... and I enjoyed
    them. Expect something more substantial when I've finished the main story. But
    for now, just a basic outline of what happens.

    Talk to the person to enter. In here, you battle for points. Well, not as
    simple as that. If you don't faint the opponents Pokemon in three moves, then
    your judged on the effectiveness of your moves.

    Triagnle is one point, circle is 2 and cross is none. Whoever gets more points
    wins. You'll need a versitile Pokemon for this methinks...

    4.2.23.4 Move ReLearner
    =======================
    Much like the Ruby and Saphire games, Emerald has the Move Re Learner. Come
    to him in Fallabour town for all your deleting moves - highlights of this
    feature include Fire Punch'n Blazeiken. You need Heart Scales for him to do
    this for you, which can be stolen off of Luvdics's mostly. But, this is getting
    ahead of you and you won't be able to even get near a Luvdisc for a long time
    yet. One more thing; go to the crater just below this. Face the center and press
    A. You'll get a Nugget. My second.

    We're done here. Its off to Route 114

    4.2.24 Route 114
    ================
    You'll see ahouse directly near you. Ignore that. But talk to the fisherman
    near you. Battle time.

    Route 114 Battle 1
    Fisherman1
    ------------------
    Barboach Lv.19
    373xp
    760 credits

    Head to the guy with the Poochyena. He'll give you TM05 Roar.

    Head down, the right. These two trainers are possible to battle alone. But, to
    be honest. Its hard to get them on their own.

    Route 114 Battle 2 & 3
    Fisherman2 & Camper1
    ----------------------
    Nuzleaf Lv.19
    286xp each
    Barboach Lv.19
    186xp each
    1064 credits

    Go right and get the item - Energy Powder. Heals 50HP, but bitter. Go across
    that bridge now and battle the fisherman.

    Route 114 Battle 4
    Fisherman3
    ------------------
    Magikarp Lv.16
    67xp
    Goldeen Lv.17

    ------------------
    Marill Lv.18
    223xp
    Lombre Lv.18
    543xp
    288 credits

    Now, go left. Go to the one but last square on this mini path. Press A and
    you'll get a Revive. Result!

    Head right, and back around the house then down. Grab the berrys. From the top;
    2 Persim Berry's, 2 more Persim berry's. And another 2 Persim berryss.

    Jump of the ledge and go in the house.

    4.2.24.1 Lanette's House
    ========================
    The PC system guru's hosue. Go inside and you'll get an ellusive doll fromm her.
    Exit (its a Lotad Doll).

    4.2.24 Route 114
    ================
    Talk to the man just below Lanett's house. He'll give you a Razz Berry.

    Talk to the twins.

    Route 114 Battle 6

    ------------------

    Go back, and up the white stairs. Go to the rock and use Rock Smash on it. Go
    along this passage and grab the item, a Protein.

    Go along the mountain, until you come to a blonde trainer. Battle him;

    Route 114 Battle 9
    FireBreather1
    ------------------
    Slugma Lv.18
    300xp
    Wingull Lv. 18
    246xp
    576 credits

    Go forewards, and its your first choice double trainer battle since just before
    Fallabour. Quite a while eh. You'll have to battle the trainer in the red hat
    first if your going to battle them seperate.

    Route 114 Battle 10 & 11

    720 credits

    Carry on along this path until you reach an entrance.

    4.2.25 Meteor Falls
    ===================
    Quite a short piece for such a big place... but you can't reach most of it
    until you have the Waterfall HM.

    Head straight upwards until you reach an item, a Full Heal.

    Go down, and when you reach the bridge, go across it. Now head down to Team
    Magma. This is the first time you'll meet them. Interesting, no?

    After Team Aqua come, Team magma will head off. Neither is good, so don't get
    attached to them. Talk to the scientist, then head left.

    Go up the stairs and grab the item in the PokeBall (A MOON STONE! YOUR FIRST!)

    Go down the stairs, then down the giant stone steps. You'll soon be out of here

    4.2.9 Route 115 (part 2)
    =======================
    Head down until a ninja challenges you.

    Right. Now, we have two directions here. The first one I'm going to do, is to
    go through every single trainer in here. No mean feat, I'll assure you.

    Head immediately into the pool on your left. Go up and right a bit, and attempt
    to go into that pool. Oh, you can't, because its a Trainer. Battle him;

    - Go in, go left diagionally and up to the top warp point.
    - Down, then up around the wall. Go into the closest warp point.
    - go down, but stay close to the edge. Go around the first warp hole, but then
    go straight up and into the next one
    - Straight up again
    - up, right diagionally

    As you leave the gym after hoping over the ledge below Flannery, May will spot
    you. Talk to her, and recieve the Go-Go-Goggles. Now you can enter the desert.

    But before we do that, its off to Petalburg. I class the desert as an "extra",
    and that doesn't have to be done right away.

    *Note. On your way out of Lavaridge, you'll pass an item on those stairs down
    Route 112. This is another Nugget.

    *Note 2. As your close, and have Strength to use outside of battle, you can
    go back to the Fiery Pass and do that if you wish.

    4.2.6.5 Petalburg Gym!

    across bike routes or through caverns.

    Enter the Gym, and you'll see that person who would tell you what type of gym
    it is, if you could understand Japanese. Its a Normal Type by the way. And
    set out in a very strange way.

    Alright. The gym is in a diamond fomration. Each room's trainer uses a
    different item to try and give him the "edge" in battle. But they won't suceed.

    to get an Ether.

    Right. NOw, what we're about to do isn't important to getting on with the game.
    If you wish, you can carry on to Route 118. Most of the stuff I'm about to do

    Head all the way right, across the water onto Route 110. Now, first go back
    to Mawille and talk to Watson (he's in the center of town)to get the keycard
    to New Mawille

    On the way there, when going up Route 110 go into the water on the first turn
    from the trick house. Surf around and you'll find a small island with an item
    on. Now, I'm quie stumped to what it is. I tried using Serebii's Item List
    even. Now, if its on their and I can't match pictures. Then I'm an idiot. But
    if it isn't, would someone mind telling me what it is? Thanks

    Coming from Mawille, where you see the first biker road entrnace, you'll see
    you can get onto the water. Do this, then head east.

    Walk into the cave, then to the door. It'll open, and you'll be able to enter
    the underneith.

    4.2.15.3 New Mawille
    ====================
    Head downwards, and step on the blue switch. In here, the colour switch you
    step on will open the coloured door. Blue switch first, then head left through
    the newly opened door.

    Step on the green switch, then head left and up again. Right this time, you'll
    come to a strange room. Up and press A, this is a Escape Rope. If you want
    to battle a Voltorb, head right and press A against the item.

    Step on the grey swtich nearby, and enter the room.

    Go up. The one on the left is an item (Paralyse Heal). The one on the right is
    a Voltorb. Step on the green switch, and you'll open the door to the final
    generator.

    Go through the passages, until you reach another two PokeBall items. The one
    on the left is a Voltorb. The one on the right is a Full Heal. Step on the red
    switch, then grab the item in the corner - the Thunder Stone.

    Step on the grey switch as you come out, then you can run all the way back
    to the strange room where you first found the Volorb pretending to be an item.

    Step on the green switch in here, then head right through the door there. The
    item on the floor is a Rare Candy. Result! Right, then down left and out.

    Go back to Watson in Mawille City. You'll tell him of what you've done, and
    you'll get TM24 Thunderbolt in return. Well, ain't he a nice lad?!

    Now, if your following this guide. You'll want to head to Rustboro (Head to

    There's nothing up here yet. Much later on, after you've beaten the Elite 4
    you can come here and get a legendary Pokemon. But not yet.

    Go back down, and you'll notice another island.

    Go around the back, and hop on. There are two trainers here, both which you
    can battle. Do that;

    head south, and you'll come to another dome shaped rock, much like the one
    that we saw on the Route before Dewford. You remember? This is to get the
    second legendary Pokemon. More of this much later. Carry on going south and
    you'll get another item - the TM37 Sandstorm.

    4.2.32.1 Illusion Pillar
    ========================
    To make the illusion pillar in the desert appear, talk to the Hiker in
    Lavaridge Town. (thanks to Mitchel Schouten)

    *you need the Mach bike.

    Enter into it. Go around the first floor. Stepping on the sand will initiate
    wild Pokemon battles. Your choice if you step on them or not. On the second
    floor head around left. On this floor, you must get across the dissapearing
    floor tiles. Your only aloud to go on each tile once, and they dissapear
    unless your using the Mach bike. So you have to be very precise with your
    steps.

    Get across, follow the path around and head up the next ladder. Go right if
    you have Rock Smash on you, The next floor will get you only ONE of the
    fossils. Choose wisely out of them.

    Once your done here, the illusion pillar will sink into the ground, as will
    the other fossil - but this isn't the last you'll see of that. Go to the
    Devon Corp in Rustboro and talk to the scientists on the second from top
    floor to get this one regenerated into a Pokemon.

    On Route 111, coming back from here you can cross the water to get a
    HP UP.

    4.2.17 Route 118 (part 2)
    =========================
    Go right of Mawille, until you get to the water. You know what to do now -
    Surf! Go across the water, and talk to the fisherman next to you. he'll give
    you the Suer Rod.

    You'll notice the TV Crew (again) here. Talk to them after your battle if you
    want a TV show made about you.

    Berry's and finally 2 more Grepa Berry's.

    The other row is EXACTLY the same.

    Go inside the house, the old man will give you 2 berry's (list of what these
    could be coming later) and his wife will give you one, the type depending on
    what phraise you say to her (again, details coming soon). These can both only
    be done onday.

    onto Route 119.

    4.2.34 Route 119

    The first biker you come to isn't a trainer, so thats ok. All this grass can't

    Someone will then rush in and push you out the way. Charming. The Aqua's will
    leave after the conversation is finished, and the guy who runs the Institute
    will come and talk to you. He'll then give you a Lv.25 Castform if you have
    a free space in your team. Exit here, then head right across the bridge
    outside (heal on the bed on your way out).

    4.2.34 Route 119 (part 2)

    You'll get HM02 once your done and after May has gone off, Enshida will come
    and talk to you, before heading off north.

    Once you've defeated the loverly May/Brendan for the penultimate time, head
    down all the way you can go, until you get to an item and some water. The item
    is a Elixer.

    Head south along the river and you'll see an item. The item is a rare Leaf
    Stone, so get it - especially if you want to evolve a Pokemon that requires
    it.

    Go back to where you hopped off here and go upwards. You'll notice on your
    right a path where you can ignore all these tedius battles. Do so if you wish.

    These are the last battles off the stupidly long Route 119.

    Head up to the choice double.

    The little dude in this house does something. I just haven't figured out what.
    Anyone who does know, send word to me please.

    4.2.35.3 HP House
    =================
    Talk to the old lady in the second house along here. Pick the top answer, then
    the top answer and finally the bottom answer to get TM10, Hidden Power.

    The old dude next to her is an Emerald Move Tutor. This one teaches Sleep
    Talk to willing Pokemon.

    4.2.35.4 Wingull House
    ======================
    The final two houses on the top row don't have anything, except the last one
    has a Wingull that will fly to another person in Hoenn if I remember rightly
    from Ruby and Saphire. Anyone who wants to inform me of what this does, please
    do...

    *you can't get into the gym yet, so ignore the entrance to it.

    Go onto the bottom row.

    Pick the top option when he asks you a question, then a Kecleon will appear.
    You'll battle/capture this and then you'll get the Devon Scope, allowing you to
    see invisable Pokemon like Kecleon. Now, go back to Fortree. Go down the path
    that the gym is on and use the Devon Scope. Defeat the Kecleon and enter the
    Gym.

    4.2.35.6 Fortree Gym

    path. Push the next door upwards, and go backwards around this path. Then you
    can go through the path on your right, then right to Winona.

    Aerial Ace as well from Winona.

    4.2.36 Route 120 (part 2)
    =========================
    As you go right along this route, instead of heading through the grass and over
    the bridge, go down to the steps leading down to the water. Battle the Kecleon
    then grab the item here - its a Nest Ball.

    Go across the water into the cave, and grab the lone item in here. TM11 Sunny
    Day is yours. Go back to the stairs, then go across the bridge to where Steven
    was residing.

    Go across the bridge then down. It will start raining. Lucky you..

    From now on every battle you participate in will have the effects of Rain Dance
    in - well, until I say it does anyway. Rain Dance increases the power of water
    moves by 50% and it makes Thunder hit every single time. Any Castform's you
    meet will be of the water variety as well.

    Go down to battle a Birdtrainer.

    Route 120 Battle 4

    that?

    One's at the bottom first.

    Go south of here. You can get onto the water from here. Just behind here is
    an item on another ledge, a Hyper Potion.

    Down from here is a Berry Blender's dream. A girl who gives out a berry every
    day and two plots of Berry soil.

    The three next to the girl are all 2 Pecha Berry's, making a total of 6.

    Go up the stairs to the ledge above. Now, listen to this. Go through the grass
    to get to another area with a Hiker trainer. Above him is a strange rock on its
    own. Just like the one in the Desert... and the one on the sea Route south
    of Petalburg. Hmmm...

    and finally 3 Razz Berrys.

    These are the final things here. Next is Route 121.

    head down to the lower portions of the routes. On your right you'll see some
    Calcium. Go up from here to battle the twins. The building you see is the

    Just below her are two Berry's. They're both 3 (total 6) Nanab Berry's. Now
    go right to Lilycone City.

    4.2.38 Lilycone City
    ====================
    FINALLY. We're here. And no, this isn't even halfway to the Seventh Gym. Though
    this city does have a lot of other important things. Your last battle against
    May/Brendan, your rival. The biggest shop in Hoenn, ALL the Contests, the
    Pokemon Block case, Team Aqua's hide out. A hotel, items, TM's... basically
    this is the hub on the east cost in Pokemon.

    If you want a Super Repel, then go to the crossroads pass the PokeCenter and
    straight down. Follow this path past the old couple and you'll come to an item.
    This is the Super Repel.

    4.2.38.1 Pokemon Hotel
    ======================
    Go past the crossroads, go south then right. The building here is the Pokemon
    Hotel. I just thought I'd tell you that Enshida is in here, the second floor.
    You can annoy the person on the first floor by standing in front of his TV.

    4.2.38.2 Pokemon Contest House: All Ranks
    =========================================
    Aah, the days of travelling to Vendurf, Fallabour, Slateport and here, Lilycone
    are long gone. Its just the final one on that list now. And you probably only
    have the Berry Crusher so far. Well, now you'll get the PokemonBlock case. And
    you'll be able to mix 'em as well now. Get it from the desk. You can go through
    the doors and have a look at all the contests if you want, though its not that
    special.

    In here you can also mix Pokemon Blocks with up to three other people if you
    wish. Great for creating that Pokemon Block you need.

    If you want to know more about PokemonBlocks, then consult Section 3. When its
    constructed.

    3.2.38.6 Pokemon Art Centre
    ===========================
    You could enjoy the loverly things hee, but if you don't understand japanese
    then there's not much pont. Go straight to the flight of stairs at the back
    of the room that a man is guarding. Answer yes to both of his questions and
    he'll let you upstairs. This is the Contest art added extra. You can now go up
    here to exit the building.

    You'll find from here you can't go any further. That suspicious looking cave
    doesn't have anything in either. Well ladies and gents. Remember Team Aqua
    heading over that body of water earlier on Route 121? Time to head over to
    there.

    Head onto the water, then go around the south side of the huge structure in
    the middle of it. Go into the entrance and you'll be in Mount Pyre.

    and do what you have to here, which is go to the top of Pyre... but I'm going
    to go through the trainers first, let you see what they're like.

    Down from here you'll get yourself TM30 Shadow Ball. Now, if you want some
    elusive Breeding items, follow these instructions.

    Jump down the hole, then go right to the item. Its the breeding item Lax
    Incense (for more information, consult my breeding guide further up in this
    guide).

    Go right to the holes and jump down the bottom one. Down here you'll get
    yourself Sea Incense. This is used for breeding Marill's to get Azurill.
    Again, more information can be found in the breeding section of this guide.

    Now, your done inside Mount Pyre. Go down this hole and you can get back to
    where the red exit is (the one you haven't been in yet). Go through here and
    oustide.

    When outside, follow the path up the mountain. Stop on the next level and grab
    the item to get TM48, Skill Swap. Carry on up the moutain and grab the item
    straight in front of you when it turns misty. This is the best item, MAX
    Potion. Heals all your HP.

    Go all the way up until you seem to head into a new area, but its just the
    mountain. Carry on upwards and you'll find an Aqua grunt.

    headed now.

    Now, this is storyline bit. You have to go to Slateport and then to the harbour
    where the ship is. Submarine Explorer 1 is stolen here by Team Aqua (hotting
    up, ain't it). Now, once the storyline is done here go back to Lilycone.

    Go to the Aqua hideout, on the sea edge of town.

    Turn around and go left. Go along here and into the warp point. (Note: This is
    the path to the MASTERBALL. With many legendary's in this game, this will come
    in handy for one of your bouts).

    Now, below you in this new room you'll notice three warp points. Choose the
    one on the left. When you reapear, the one on your left (or middle). Then
    when you reapear again, its the one on your left again (far left over all).

    You'll be at the bottom, on the right. Go around the three and onto the
    warp point on the far left.

    In this room are four PokeBall items. Two are Electrodes, two are items.

    The one on the bottom right is an Electrode. Battle it. The one above it is
    also an Electrode.

    Now, the bottom left is a Nugget. The one above it (top right) is the
    MATERBALL.

    Go back through to where the double battle was. From here, go through the warp
    point on your right.

    Go up the staircase in the next room and battle the trainer in the one afer

    Once done here, you'll notice the round shadow in the water (its the sub with
    Leader Archie in) will go. The criminals got away! But, on an upside, upon
    exiting the Aqua Base through the last remaining warp point, up the stairs
    then back out the way you came, you'll find that the Aqua Wailmer's are gone,
    thus allowing you to continue your journey around Hoenn.

    4.2.43 Route 124
    ================
    Yay. The sea route west of Lilycone. Two more badges, and the open sea is
    available to you!

    Before we start, I just thought I'd tell you about these routes. The routes
    are thicker, span more area than the others around Hoenn. For example; Route
    122 was just a straight, single line on the PokNav. Well, out here, the routes
    are thicker.

    Route 124 is four squares by three (I will cover all in Route 124 before we
    get to Mossdeep. The two by two squares about Mossdeep are Roue 125. The dark
    blue squares directly around Sootopolis (8 in total) are Route 126. The nine
    to the right of this (including three dark blue's) are Route 127. The four
    squares directly left of victory road are Route 128 and the rest of the routes
    after that are normal.

    But there's one of those infuriating Double Battles, the second you place foot
    on this route.

    Aah. Mossdeep. Magma, psychic, Stevey and a doubled edge.

    4.2.44.1 Dynamic Punch Beach
    ============================
    On the marsh like ground outside the actual island/city there is a guy, dressed
    like a ninja. Talk to him and he'll teach Dynamic Punch to willing Pokemon.

    4.2.44.2 Kings Rock - Behind Centre
    ===================================
    You can get the kings rock from the guy behind the Pokemon centre (the houses
    around there don't have anything of interest inside them).

    4.2.44.3 Linked Game Corner
    ===========================
    The building south of the PokeMart. This is for the wireless mini games
    avaiable in FR/LG. However, it opens up once you've beaten the Elite 4. More
    information soon.

    4.2.44.5 Fishin' Rod
    ====================
    Just before going up the steps to get here, go down to the old man. Past
    him is a Net Ball.

    When up the stairs, go left then up.He will give you a Super Rod if you answer
    his quetsion with the top answer.

    4.2.44.6 Space Centre
    =====================
    Go in here and talk to the guy with the Blue hat on - he'll give you a Sun
    Stone. Steven's in here as well. The rest of the Space Center has nothing of
    interest, so just go to the gym now.

    4.2.44.7 Mossdeep Gym! Psychic power!
    =====================================
    Alright. The layout in here has changed A LOT. Heh, just having a look around
    is quite daunting... right, down to business. In each room you'll see some
    blocks to move trainers. The arrows on the rotating devices show which way it
    moves. I've drawn a map, because this is so freaking complicated (and
    annoying)...

    Key: The numbers show which warp point you go to. P's are pillars, = is the
    entrance. T is the turning standing pads. the # are the statues on the turning
    blocks. The B are the trainers, and the arrows are the directions on the pads.

    #'s are also the pillars randomly in the middle of the floor.

    If its too complicated for you, don't worry. My verbal guide, though confusing
    is quite helpful still.

    Now, theres no other trainers in this room except Steven with Maxine and
    Admin Tabitha.

    Talk to him and you'll be able to choose three Pokemon for the battle - because
    in case you didn't get it. Your about to double battle with Steven as a
    partner.

    Once your done, everyone will leave and the Space Centre will return to how
    it usually is. Now, go to Stevens house (furthest top left house on island)
    and you'll get HM08 Dive, which you gained the badge to use from the Gym
    here. One more Gym to go people.

    As your leaving Mossdeep May/Brendan will call you. Though you probably can't
    make it out, its important to the story line. S/he tells you that they have
    spotted a "green dragon" near Pacifiladog. Hmmm....

    You can go to Route 125 now, though to be honest it doesn't hold that much of
    interest bar the Shoal Cave. I will add it once the Elite 4 are finished.

    4.2.45 Route 127
    ================
    Its three squares by three squares on the PokeNav, so thats a lot to cover.

    Go right and south as much as you can on the beach, then go onto the water.
    Now go down to Route 127. Upon entry, head left to some beach/island things.
    On here is a Zinc.

    The one below it with trees on has a choice Double battle.

    him.

    Just out of here is a dive point. Dark blue water, just up from the trainer.
    See it? Press A here, then go underwater. Go into your status screen, pick
    the Pokemon that knows Dive and make him resurface. On the forthcoming island
    is a Carbos.

    Go back through here and back to the island.

    Go left out of here, then upwards, sticking close to the right. You should see
    a blue haired trainer. Battle him

    Go back out of this little secluded area, and back into the big wide dark blue
    middle. Go to the biggest area here (you should see it) then Dive!

    Now, you could come into any number of areas, but as long as you haven't
    gone too far south, you should be ok. Go south, and try and go as south as you
    can, whilst following the path. Everything should join up and you'll see the
    entrance to an underwater cavern. YAY.

    4.2.46 Sea Cavern
    =================
    You'll go in here and see the underwater Sea Explorer. Press B to surface (is
    this in R/S, using B to surface?). Now, when you've surfaced, go up the beach
    and into the entrance.

    In here...

    Go up, smash rock the rock. Push the boulder down, go right and push this one
    right. Go up and battle the Aqua Trainer.

    or single style.

    Once your done here, you'll can jump over some ledges. Now, going through the
    middle cave will take you back to the room you were in before this one. The
    end one will take you back to the beginning (NO!) so you pick the top one
    (which takes you to the room you would have been in, if you'd have chosen the
    other entrance in the first room). Make sense? Probably not. But from here
    go upwards.

    Push the block out the way, then the next one. You'll see two more entrances
    here, left and right.

    You can either go left way, or right way. But you end up at the same place.

    Left way
    --------
    Jump on the water, go right into the current. When you've stopped, go right
    again. Then go either up or right. Now finally go left (NOT RIGHT) and you'll
    have done this bit.

    Right Way
    ---------
    Get on the water, go to your bottom right. Go over this part of the current.

    Go right, then when you stop go up. Now, you'll be in partially open water.

    Go up again, into this current. When you stop you'll be able to go to the exit,
    thus ending this bit and getting back onto the dungeon.

    Two trainers here now. You can either go through the puzzle, or battle them.
